One of my aunts had that happen in both of her eyes (not at the same time thought) years ago when they still used metal plates to reattach the retinas. I've been told I run the risk of it happening due to how strong my prescription is.
Hope the recovery goes smoothly for you.

The pills they give you for after are basically hell in capsule form. And not in the sweet Akira way.

I've been getting flashes of light just outside my peripheral vision, both with my eyes open and closed, when my eyes are tired. I should have an eye doctor look at it, but I'm not sure how to describe them in English, let alone Japanese. They aren't just flashes of light, but they move and sometimes it's like watching the edge of a bubble being popped on the edge of my vision, other times they kinda swing from the corner of my eye down to the bottom edge of my vision... Yeah, I remember my aunt talking about the pills being hell, too.

Chino you should really see a doctor about it with the description you just gave us. sad Preventative surgery is much better than corrective.
And Felin I AM SO GLAD YOUR EYE IS OKAY. I'm ******** glad we convinced you. When you posted your symptoms that was exactly what my grandma went through two years ago (except her blindness was in the upper part of her eye but w/e) and ughhh vision is so scary important gonk
I'm also super glad that the healing process is going better for you than it did for her, she was in bed for like two weeks. D:

yeah SERIOUSLY, I didn't want to be like "seriously ******** go your retina is detaching" because I'm not a doctor and didn't want to create unnecessary panic but YEAH. My grandma waited until about that long too and she was also told if she'd waited longer she'd have been ********, lmao
I'm glad you're not blind! ;w;

Chino, get your butt to the eye doctor. Even if you can't explain it fully, they can see it when they examine your eyes.

Arianah Chino, get your butt to the eye doctor. Even if you can't explain it fully, they can see it when they examine your eyes. This, seriously. Losing sight was one of the most frightening things ever, and that was only one eye.
