Sasha eventually stood and stretched, spreading her pale wings before settling them back at her sides as she simply sat and looked around at the island that was now her home. She gave a soft sigh as her gaze moved to the sky above her and the clouds as they drifted slowly by, reminding her of times spent with Raid simply watching the sky like this or flying through the clouds with him beside her.
Truthfully, she didn't have much else to think about these days except how alone she seemed to be, even when other dragons came here for healing. When they were here, she simply concentrated on getting them better again, then they were gone on their way, leaving her alone again. They didn't really talk to her much, simply expressed their gratitude for her healing.
Only Ebony seemed to spend much time with her anymore. The shadowdragon's brood and mate seeming to forget about her presence entirely. Normally she wouldn't have minded that but she was beginning to hate being so alone all the time. It was making her think of Raid more and more and his absence in her life.
Even Bane seemed to have forgotten about her. Her own father. Of course, he'd believed her dead for most of her life, then she'd been in near-constant danger, injured most of the time.
She gave another heavier sigh as she turned away from the clouds and headed deeper onto the island that was now her home, considering that she might leave here since everyone seemed to have forgotten about her for the most part. Perhaps if she went somewhere else...
As she moved through each of the elemental caves, she knew she wouldn't leave and finally moved back out to the beach around the lagoon to settle in the sand once more. As much as she wanted to leave here to be around others, she knew she couldn't do it. She'd been here and isolated for too long to be able to move comfortably around others again.
She curled herself up on the sand and rested her head on her forearms, her wings tucked tightly to her sides as she closed her swirling silver eyes and considered simply staying where she was, going into the rare type of sleep dragons sometimes did where they slept the centuries away, much as Lao had done once.
After all, it wasn't as if anyone really needed her much... The island itself could take care of any healing the other dragons needed...
She let her mind start to drift into that deep sleep, her body's systems starting to slow down, her scales iridescent luster beginning to face into the almost stone-like appearance that marked a dragon going into that deep centuries-long sleep....
