It was nice to have an off day every once in a while, and the faerie actually found himself at a loss for what to do.

Marosa had gone to the demon dorms main room where the fireplace was, staring at it wistfully as he ran his fingers over the edges of his wings. He had a feeling that they'd fall off completely - and soon. He didn't know if he'd miss them or not.

Maybe it would be better for him if he found someone to talk to. Yaya was busy, he hadn't talked to Roch in a while, and...

... come to think of it he really didn't have that many friends. Huh. Rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, the gancanagh sighed and decided to sit next to the fireplace, folding his wings just in case anyone came wandering in that was interested in any conversations.

One could hope.

Cearney was never really at a loss for what to do.

This was especially true now, considering he was new to the school. Cearney had honestly forgotten his clan had applied him to Amityville Academy until he had gotten the news that it was time for him to go away, but he didn't really mind it. A place like this could only benefit from his presence. He was certain that Amityville had not had a leprechaun here before ... or if they had it had been many years.

And they certainly were not as good at it as he was. Hrrmph.

Once he had gotten some monster to move all his stuff in for a few silver seeds--seriously, had he never seen a silver seed before?--Cearney decided it was time to set out and actually explore the demon dorms. He naturally believed they were the best dorms, already having a considerable amount of dorm pride considering the fact that he had a considerable amount of racial pride. The place was extravagant enough for him to believe his confidence was well-placed...

The common room was warm, and had a large fire, of all things. That brought a small quirk of a smile to the leprechaun's face, flicking a silver seed up into the air and catching it again as he moved in that direction.

He noticed the faerie out of the corner of his eye, but for the moment he seemed mostly concerned about being comfortable. Considering how short he was, these chairs felt even more marvelous to him...

The silver seed caught the faerie's eyes, and Marosa glanced up to see a rather... short demon. Well, he was shorter than Marosa by far, but the gancanagh wasn't going to mention that.

It might have been seen in his eyes, though. He'd never really seen anyone that short. But hey, it was someone new to talk to!

"Are ye new here, lad?"

Seiana_ZI
sorry for the late reply ;; and he sounds AWESOME, no worries 8D

Cearney glanced over to the noise. Hm?

Oh.

A chatty faerie.

Very well. Cearney could deal with chatty faeries. Leprechaun as a species were typically not chatty at all when they weren't gathering FEAR, but that didn't mean they couldn't. And the "Are you new" question was probably fair, considering he was. Maybe the chatty faerie was in here often and didn't recognize him.

He would soon enough.

"Aye. What's it to ya?" Cearney tilted his head slightly, glancing upwards at the fellow sitting faerie.

It might be a while before he got used to this part.

Kanth
Glad you like him! ~ I'm not sure if Marosa will though hahaha.

If Marosa had known he was internally being called a 'chatty faerie', he would have taken slight offense to that. Ignorance was bliss, right?

"Ye did nae look familiar, is all. It's decent enough to meet another demon... fey, I presume?" He wasn't quite sure that this other was a faerie as his knowledge of other faeries was severely lacking, but by his accent he figured he was from about the same parts.

"Oi'm Marosa." He held out his hand for the other to shake. This fellow seemed a little gruff... maybe his natural ability would help with getting him to open up a little. What harm was there in touching skin if it was an innocent gesture to get to know another faerie better? Of course, he wouldn't lie, but he was very curious if his ability would work on another faerie.

Chances were, he'd know what kind of fey Marosa was, as well.

Was he phrasing that as a question?

Considering he was positive that Marosa was a faerie himself--those wings were a dead giveaway even if he didn't really know the qualities of a faerie--he would think that one faerie would be able to recognize another. Curtly, Cearney replied with an, "Of course. Don't I look like one?" He looked down at his suit-like outfit as if that alone was enough to make it obvious--or maybe it was a remark on the fact that his feet didn't come anywhere close to reaching the ground in this particular chair he was attempting to draw attention to.

When Marosa offered his hand, he quirked his brow very slightly, studying the hand for a few uncertain moments as if trying to figure out if the other was executing was some kind of trick. It was only for a few crucial seconds, though, before Cearney put his hand forward and gave a very brief, but firm shake.

He drew his hand back to himself as quickly as he could.

"Cearney," said the leprechaun, briefly, knowing it would be obvious he was referring to himself.

An eyebrow rose at the other's reaction. Huh, so maybe it was immune to fairies. That was both good and bad, he supposed.

Or maybe Cearney was in love.

Ah well. He wasn't going to press the issue.

"A little... but yer the only fey oi've ever seen before." His father had kept him away from other fey because of his own reasons, which he'd never really elaborated on. "'tis a pleasure, Cearney."

MAROSA JUST WANTS TO BE FRIENDS sad

PostPosted: Wed Apr 23, 2014 6:44 pm
Cearney wasn't very good at the warm and friendly thing. Even at his friendliest, it would be hard to call him a particularly warm person.

... That being said, if Cearney was in love with anyone, he was in love with himself.

He was really the only other faerie that Marosa had seen? That was a bit bizarre. Even as a leprechaun Cearney had awareness of other faerie and demonkind. In fact, it was arguable that was considerably important considering their race wasn't really all that populated in comparison to other demon types and even other faerie types. They had to know how the others operated and know how to make their place known in this present day world.

"I'm going to guess fey aren't very common here, then," remarked Cearney, with a small shrug. "Kinda' surprising, the place seems kinda big ... or are you new, too?"

It was certainly worth noting that he hadn't told Marosa to quiet down and leave him alone ... yet.

"Oi dinnae think so, no." Marosa gave a shrug, thinking back to his homeland. "Though... oi haven't really seen anyone at home, either. Just me da'." And even calling him his father made him wince slightly - it was obvious he didn't really want to go back home. To the gancanagh, the school was his home.

"Oi'm second year, so nay, oi'm not new." The faerie stood, folding his jagged wings behind his back as he let his arms hang lazily at his sides, peering closer at Cearney. "Are ye a leprechaun, then? Oi've never met one in person." Marosa wasn't really worried about touching or close proximity anymore - thanks to his friends, he'd gotten over that particular habit.

but i loves himmm biggrin

Just his da'? Was there no other parent in his life? Was it a singular pumpkin birth? Or perhaps the other parent wasn't a fey? He wondered what other kind of demon it could be.

(Because, of course, he would never assume that the other was a demon.)

... Why did he care, anyway? Whatever. So he was a weird faerie with a faerie father that apparently had never gone outside until he went to Amityville. Fine. Not his problem. The second statement was of a bit more interest--second year and no other faeries but him? Really? Fae were that rare here? The idea that he was not only of one of the rarest faerie races to be, but that faeries themselves were uncommon...

Well, that brought an unexpected grin to his face--that only seemed to grow more confident when the other boil--though he had gotten himself way to close, the other boil really should back up a bit, and to show that he sunk just a bit further into the chair. "Aye, I'm a leprechaun! We are a great and proud race of fey, we are."

Yeah, definitely loved himself.

"Oi see." Marosa seemed slightly troubled at this, tilting his head as he stepped back, noticing the other's discomfort at his closeness. "Me apologies. Oi often forget that others dinnae like tae be near a fey like me." He shrugged, though his mind was on other matters.

What Cearney said really bugged him - was this really the only other fey he'd met?

Something wasn't right, but the gancanagh was slowly trying to piece it together. Was there something his father wasn't telling him?

FATHER ISSUES

PostPosted: Sat Apr 26, 2014 8:50 am
Now what was his problem?

Fey like me--

"Nah, 's not you," Cearney quirked a brow, watching as the other faerie continued to look very troubled. What was his issue? He just seemed overly friendly a minute ago, and now he was being all introspective and shy. He could tell with the touch sensitivity that this was probably a gancanagh, though it was surprising that he was taking the want to move away from the touch personally and not just pursuing it...

This faerie was interesting in that sort of way that made Cearney want to keep prodding at him. That probably wasn't a good thing (for Marosa anyway).

"Don't like any creeple touching me. Cop on!"

Would the clarification make him stop acting all strange or make him act even funnier?

Kanth
Definitely. Poor Marosa. Cearney's like, "... uh-huh." XDD

That earned a grin from Marosa. "Oi dinnae think ye'd want me to keep coppin' a feel on ye, lad." He stuck his tongue out in good nature and sat on the edge of the chair's arm, pulling his hair back and leaving it at the base of his neck. No, his main problem was trying to remember back when he was in the feylands, and it genuinely bugged him that he couldn't remember ever meeting any other fey other than Cearney at the moment.

"Have ye gotten a good look around th' school yet?" The fey tilted his head, more than curious to see if Cearney needed any help with locating things. He'd gotten lost (and beaten up, but that was another story entirely) when he'd first arrived at Amityville, and had to find out where things were on his own. "Oi'm more than happy tae help ye if'n ye need it." And from the look in his eyes, he meant every word.

Seiana_ZI
Hahaha if only he knew xD DEFINITE PLOT LATER if you're interested bwahaha

When Marosa suggested he might keep copping a feel, Cearney looked a tad alarmed. That wasn't what he -- well, he seemed to be backing off a bit, at least. And he stuck his tongue out. Probably a joke.

Probably.

Cearney knew that seeing another faerie like him, especially like him, might be hard to keep away from, but he didn't want anyone copping a view of him any time soon (or ever, really) as he doubted he'd find another leprechaun here...

He glanced over to Marosa, catching the rather friendly expression on his face and the offer of help that he was extending. Cearney was a little self-centered, of course, and instantly thought about the benefits of such an arrangement. If he had someone who could tell him where everything was and show him things before he did something laughable, so he just looked like the brilliant leprechaun he was the whole time without the side-effect of occasionally looking new... Well, that would be useful. He could certainly see the use in that.

"Nah, this is my first day! I haven't done much looking around yet. Just finished unpacking a li'l while ago." Well, more like he paid some goon to unpack for him but Marosa seemed a little soft, so he'd leave that bit out.

The faerie knew that look, and knew it well. He narrowed his eyes (as best he could) and grinned slyly, reaching out to poke the other's forehead. Just because he could.

It seemed the gancanagh was in a playful mood.

"It'll cost ye. A favor in th' future, iffin yer interested." He stood and stretched himself, tattered wings fluttering as they too stretched. "But oi kin show ye all the sights that... us fey would find interestin'." He winked, more than satisfied that he'd found another faerie after all this time.

He hoped that Cearney felt the same. If not now, perhaps in the future.
