I have seen it and thought it was real good.

Wasn't there a OVA or movie that went along with the story that had similar events happening as the series, but with a twist and different ending?

I'm not really sure, but I was thinking that I had seen at least a OVA or something that kind of had a twist to the original series that had a different ending and plot.
