It was known that a group of Alumni, and Alumni only, were gathering in a city to survive a week in the human world together to get qualified. After all, things are better, and more fun, in groups!

If you're not familiar with Las Vegas, go do some research and hit it up on google! It offers a lot of different things for your character to interact with! Casinos, sights, lights...it's got a lot of stuff. It's Las Vegas

+ Day 1 - Arrival

Things to think about on this day to help with writing / RPing:

Is this your character's first time in the human world? Yes / no? How are they settling / adjusting? Are they excited, scared, overwhelmed? What's their plan? Are they hiding, blending...do they wanna scare or observe or maybe do a bit of both? How does their sponsor feel about them being here?

+ Day 2 - Settling In

Okay, second day, great! How was the night? Maybe they're exploring the more? Maybe they're venturing to a different part of the city? What are they doing now?

Maybe at this point your character is settling into a routine? Yes / no? Are they making a point to do something different everyday? What are their thoughts on humans so far? The sights?

+ Day 4 - More than Halfway

Mid point! Kind of. Is your character homesick for Halloween? Yes / no? Are they missing anyone who isn't there? What's the most exciting or odd experience they've had so far?

+ Day 5 - A Little Bit of Trouble

On this day, maybe your character runs into a bit of trouble. Maybe they have too close of an encounter with a human, or they're spotted and not prepared. Or maybe they have a tummy ache. That is some trouble right there. How do they handle a bit of trouble? Big or small, be creative!

+ Day 6 - Almost There

So close! Is your character ready to head home now or what? Does this trip make them eager to go out and see more of the Human world soon? How is their sponsor feeling about them now?

+ Day 7 - The Finish Line

THEY MADE IT! It's the last day! How does your character spend their final day in Las Vegas? Are they ready to go home? What are their impressions from spending a full week in the Human world?

Day 1 - Arrival / The Strip

Wow. She was staring at that really famous sign. That really old designed sign that said welcome to Las Vegas...in the Human World. In person.

Hel had taken to the blending in approach to being in the human world. She had a serious advantage being a reaper, and was using that to the fullest ability. She even ditched her usual style of clothing for a t-shirt with a yield sign on it, some jean over all shorts, stockings and a plain ol' pair of boots. Plus some aviator sun glasses. Because why not. It was super bright here, and someone once said it was a bit odd she had red eyes. Just a bit.

The cool thing was? No one even paid her a second glance. For someone who usually stood out, she was blending in and proud...aside from her loud exclamations of how cool everything was though.

The look people were giving her then was tourist.

This would be her first time spending an extended amount of time in the Human World, and she was thrilled. It screamed adventure and excitement. Complete with challenges even! She had to blend, she couldn’t let her cover get blown, and she’d show Nox alright. She’d show him good! The reaper had to keep, offhandedly, reminding herself that she needed to keep checking in with the Irift, since he was her sponsor and all. Damn right he was. He should be proud to sponsor her, too. She was the best.

She was also about to explode with how much there was to do here.

[ DAY 2 ] Settling In


Ren was having a very difficult time focusing.

He wondered if it might have been easier to just stay in the shadows, lurking around like he always did, but there was just so much going on that he couldn't quite seem to sit still. He was like a bouncing ball that kept ricocheting back and forth, Ren first going to one side of the strip and then the next, his eyes wide, his fingers itching to reach out and touch the flashing neon lights, the brightly colored signs here and there.

Too much meant his head could not quite wrap around everything properly.

He was at least wearing clothing that was sort of similar to what the humans were wearing: a set of dark jeans and a red shirt with a black leather jacket overtop, a pair of sunglasses slid over the bridge of his freckled nose. He could sort of blend in.

Sort of.

Ren wondered what human food tasted like.

[ Day 1 - Arrival - Paris Las Vegas]

Damn, that was a jacking big tower.

Pokerus was impressed at just how tall the thing was, not recalling any building in halloween to be as large as this one was. A strange design indeed, and she wondered just what it's purpose was. It wasn't the only strange thing around, as every building here seemed to be competing with the other to be the biggest. Humans really like to make large buildings here.

She stopped craning her neck to look at them as her eyes scanned the crows of humans. She was keen to complete her requirements to grab a passport, but apart form that she wanted to try something else too.

Her gaze rested on her hands, the claws extra sharp and lethal if used in the same way. She closed it into a fist and concentrated hard, not on wanting to be seen by the humans that walked around her but on changing her form.

Shun had mentioned to her once about training herself to look more human to blend in. Now that she thought about it, looking human could have many perks. So it was something she could train herself to do while she was here.

Poke had the basic idea already: If she wanted to shift to a dragon form she just focused on what she looked like, on her body going through the morph. Now she just had to think the opposite; her body looking more human.

She focused hard, and was happy to see her claws began to recede into sharp nails.

Day 2 - Settling In

Suddenly there was someone barreling towards him, and soon enough, a reaper was hanging off of his arm.

"HEY!" Hel's voice boomed, and she laughed as both of her arms hung on tightly to one of Ren's. "So good to find another!" She cried, but then immediately paused and looked around. "ANOTHER TOURIST OF COURSE!" She then let out a peal of laughter, was if she was acting completely natural. She settled, slightly, and beamed up at her fellow alumni. "But no, it truly is good to find another! How are you doing, friend!? What do you think so far!?" She asked him excitedly.

Day 3 - Getting Familiar / Inside the Grand Canal Shoppes

Hel stood next to the rail, staring with wide eyes as the various water ways that ran through this Human Maul. Not only did this Maul have water ways in it, it had boatmen escorting people around while they were shopping. Holy s**t.

"Holy s**t!" Hel hissed, and reached out to shove the Gryphon next to her in disbelief. The action ended up being a little more forceful than she intended, due to still being stuck on watching the humans being ferrymen. "There are boats in the maul!" She continued to exclaim to him in an excited tone. "There are ferrymen!"

The reaper was then holding onto Ren's arm and shaking it. Poor guy. Had to deal with Hel and her excited abuse. "Ferrymen in the MAUL!" She cried, earning her some odd looks from other shoppers. "Do you know Mac!?" She suddenly asked him. "He is my beau, and he wants to be a ferryman too! Just like that!" She pointed at the people.

A pause, as she snapped her head back to Ren.

"Ack! Not in a maul, mind you! Not for people, either! But for cargo! Ah!" She looked back at the boats. "I wish he could see this!"

Day 3 - Getting Familiar


"But why does it have boats in the maul, I don't get it," Ren hissed back, almost tipping over at her shove (he missed using his wings to keep himself balanced) - because unlike his fellow reaper next to him, the gryphon was, suffice it to say, a little less than thrilled about having to deal with anything related to water. Still, he had to admit, it was pretty cool looking, even though he was going to attempt to stay as far away from said water as monsterly possible.

Ren wobbled a little more under Hel's grasp, but her enthusiasm mingled easily with Ren's, who was already hopping up and down in anticipation of more explorations. "I think I remember Mac from something..." he said thoughtfully, one ear twitching from beneath the hat he was wearing, out of sight of the humans around them. "But dude, that is so cool that he wants to be a ferryman - what exactly does a ferryman do, just like...get on a boat and move things around?"

He glanced back at the boats and had a sudden flashback to his first - and last - experience on a boat that had resulted in not only his own death, but the death of Gabrian, Alessa, and Jove, and several others, and a sad reminder that he was, in fact, still having to deal with those hunters.

Day 2 - Settling In


Ren let out a startled squawk and staggered slightly under Hel's sudden weight; but then he reached out a freckled hand and patted her on the arm, giving the ghoul a bright and cheerful smile.

"Yes," he said, a little too loudly. "Another tourist! That's me, I am totally another tourist, and we are touring things and seeing things because we are tourists, isn't that totally the case, because - " A dramatic pause. "We are tourists."

He may or may not have overdone it slightly. Ren grinned at Hel.

"It's pretty Jacking cool is what it is," he answered her. "Hi, Hel, what do you think about our new place? There are so many lights."

Day 4 - More than Halfway

Hel sat at the table of a cafe, across from her companion for this Human World adventure, Ren. She was staring at the green dollar bill she was holding between her two hands. Her brows were furrowed in the utmost concentration. After a long moment she finally spoke up. "Human world money is weird." Narrowed red eyes peered over the top of the dollar bill to look at Ren.

She was only mildly concerned about being overheard, and minded herself a bit more. "Nox says...if you take it back, yanno...it would turn into a silver seed!" Hel went back to staring at it, as if it would unfold the mysteries of the universe to her, and then finally spoke up again.

"So...what has been your favorite memory from this trip so far, friend?"

Day 3 - Getting Familiar

"Your guess is as good as mine, friend!" Hel replied. "After all, it would be better to do this sort of thing outside of the maul!" She stated rather haughtily. "It is only half the experience it could be!" She gestured to the water ways. "Look at how tame those are, bah!"

When the monster admitted to remembering Mac though, well, that certainly had Hel's attention. Her head snapped back around to face him, her expression lightening considerably in excitement, awe, and curiosity. "What is that!? I am impressed, to be honest! He is such a shut in, that I am surprised others know of his existence!" She laughed before nodding her head enthusiastically. "Ya! That is pretty much it! He wants to work for Charon...and haul cargo from one place to another. Just him out on the water with his boat!" Aw. Damn.

It was only a few days, but she was missing the jerk. Being in the Human World she couldn't even text him. She'd gotten so used to talking to him all the time...

"Neh, Ren? Anyone waiting for you outside of this trip?" She suddenly asked.

Day 2 - Settling In

Hel had to cackle as the monster squawked. "Right! My fellow tourist, ya! YA!" She could feel a bit more odd stares their way, but they didn't last. It seemed in Las Vegas, humans had other places they wanted to be and quickly! No one paid too much mind to two weirdos.

"RIGHT!" The reaper agreed with a cheerful grin. "Ren." She returned with a dip of her head in acknowledgement. "I think it is jacking amazing!" She managed to keep her voice down, a bit, while using their 'Halloween lingo'. "There is so much to see and do! It was truly the perfect place to spend a week in! I have never seen so many lights before!" Or maybe this city, for some alumni, was just enough rope to hang themselves with. Hel never gave that much thought, either.

She then leaned in a bit closer.

"It makes me want to see our own Lost Vegas even more now!"

Day 5 - A Little Bit of Trouble

Sometime during their troubles, Hel had dragged Ren into a hat shop. Because she was dating a reaper who always wore a hat, she had become somewhat, strangely, attached to them herself. So when she saw a store, she was all over it. She had dragged him into the store, and was buzzing to and fro at all the different hats.

So caught up in her excitement she was, Hel was chattering away about all the hats Ren should try on. She then jumped up and yanked the hat he was wearing right off the top of his head and took off with it to compare it to others for sizes.

She forgot it was part of his disguise.

Next to the monster, a little human girl was waiting, amazingly patiently, for her mother who was also trying on hats. She was staring up at him, the bubble gum she was popping was paused in a large pink bubble, and her eyes were steadily growing wider as she stared at his ears.

Day 4 - More Than a Hallway


Ren was eyeing the dollar bill just contemplatively as Hel was, because it was a very mysterious object that neither one of them had any real experience was. And there was a human on it too, plastered in the middle of it like a weird excuse for an emblem.

"I don't understand this whole dollar thing," Ren muttered, reaching out and plucking the bill from her fingers to look at it more closely himself, eyes narrowed in concentration. He almost didn't hear Hel's question, but beneath his hat, his ears perked upwards, swiveling towards her.

He sat up a little straighter and handed the dollar back to her. "I like the place we're in," Ren said thoughtfully. "And I like the noise and the chaos! It reminds me a bit of my nightclub that I'm trying to open. Lots of mess and noise and chaos is the best.

"What about you?"

Day 3 - Getting Familiar


"What would happen if they fell over?" Ren asked musingly, staring at the boats with an expression that was half curiosity, half wariness. "Do they...just swim...or something..."

It took him a second to drag himself back to the question. "Oh," he said, and grinned. "Well, I think I know him. It's hard to know if it's the same boil, but I think I have met him once or twice before. I definitely know Freya and her boil, though, so I try to know all of my friends and their significant others."

He winked at Hel and shifted a little, his wings itching beneath the heavy coat. "Oh, that's pretty nifty," said Ren, blinking at Hel, "I mean, it's totally not my thing, but it's pretty cool for him to know that."

Hel's next question made a bright smile light up the gryphon's face, and he was practically starry-eyed as he replied, "I definitely do! Her name is LW, and she is the bestest ghoulfriend in the whole wide world. We're gonna get married," he told Hel enthusiastically. "We've been together for a long time now, several years!"

Day 2 - Settling In


Ren extracted his arm out of Hel's grasp so that he could toss it over her shoulders instead, giving her a friendly sort of squeeze. "I'm glad that you think so, because I totally think it's like, you know, chaos, but that's like, so awesome. I think it's J - really cool."

He nodded enthusiastically, and then glanced around so fast he almost gave himself whiplash.

"What should we do?" he asked her, eyes wide as he took in everything around them. "Where should we go? There are so many decisions, Hel."
