Trisha had had several spars in this place now. It was fun even if she didn't always win. But she wanted more. Trisha was too energetic. energy was bounding from her knees. She wanted to have people and contact and rough house and what better way then a spar?

Trisha lurked around searching for a new friend twirling one of the ribbons in her hair. Who would be her next partner?

Serafina had all of ... no spars here before.

She didn't like spars.

The ghost wasn't a particularly fighty type, and tended to want to keep the peace with all of her politeness--

Okay, the truth was was that she honestly wasn't very good at them. At all. Serafina would have more luck finding the perfect heel for all occasions than hitting the broad side of a house and she knew it. That didn't really matter to Amityville Academy, though. No, if she wanted to graduate--

-- which she should be soon enough, she noted, considering she was only a step away from being a Hobgoblin and at the top of the class --

-- she needed to actually start fighting.

Warily, Serafina entered the gym. Maybe she wouldn't get ... destroyed. And then she could say she at least had one spar done...

Hummm... Trisha surveyed the student and spotted someone walking in. There weren't that many people not busy at the moment, and Tisha never had the mind to think of consequences, like that maybe the ghoul didn't want to spar.

If they were in the gym they must want to spar. And sparing was just playing anyway. It was fun, even if Trisha wasn't that good at it. The only way to get better was to do it, right? So she slowly moseyed up to the new ghoul and swung an arm around her. "Hi! I'm Trisha." She had started to think of everyone in the school as part of her herd. So it was perfectly normal to great family in this way, right? "Are you looking for a sparing partner?" Trisha grinned. this ghoul looked interesting especially with the strange face mask. Was she shy?

There was actually a bit of relief Serafina felt when she did not readily spot anyone who wanted to spar --

But that was a false hope, as there was a rather pretty ghoul walking towards her (she liked sparring?) who asked her if she was looking for a sparring partner. A sparring partner. Right. That was what she needed to do more of to graduate. She didn't really want to, but at least the girl seemed nice enough about it instead of just charging her and giving her an elbow to the eyes or something. Was that something that was done?

"Ah," Serafina cleared her throat. "Yes, ah, yes. I am here to spar."

Badly.

"I assume you were looking for someone to spar with. Do you want to spar with me?"

Maybe this ghoul wouldn't kick her a** into next Moonday.

"Yay! Yes I am looking to spar... well more like rough house... but you know." Trisha really just wanted someone to play with. still when she was asked to spar Trisha could only reply with a big yes along with a wide grin.

Trisha searched for a ring and then walked over to claim it. This was her space yes. Her's and her new friend who's name she still did not know. "I'm Trisha by the way. I'm an apasu from the great plains tribe and a snot." she chirped, realizing she should probably introduce herself somewhere in the middle of this. Back home everyone already knew everyone or at least a relative of theirs; but here, it was a different story.

Rough house?

Serafina gulped. That wasn't anything she was ever good at. There was a reason why she mostly kept herself to, well, not roughhousing. Would this girl cause any damage? She heard roughhousing could cause some damage if they weren't careful and she didn't know if this girl was careful at all. She seemed excitable. Excitable was never really a good thing when it came to being gentle and ... stuff.

The ghoul skittered after Trisha, settling herself at the other side of the ring. "Serafina," introduced she, figuring she should probably return the favor. They'd know what to write on her gravestone. "Ghost," yeah, super descriptive there Serafina, "knob!"

"It will be fun!" Trisha smiled at her. And continued to beam. She might have forgotten that they were supposed to be fighting. "So a knob huh? You've been here a while then." Yep Trisha was totally more interesting in making friends with her sparing partner than actually attacking.

This girl seemed so cheerful that she was ... completely forgetting to hit her at all...

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Serafina hoped that was the case, at least, as she shifted herself into a fighting stance. Was this a fighting stance? She wasn't sure, but it sort of looked like one from those kung fu movies. That had to be close enough, right? Was she even doing it right?

"Yeah, a knob! I've been here for ah," she actually had to think about it, "two years now?" Was that it? Two years? It felt like so long but then ... of course it did, she was a ghost, and she hadn't been a ghost for a terribly long time. Only a couple years of unlife would feel like a long time if she had only had an unlife for less than ten years.

She decided to give a try to actually landing a punch.

And she did! Wait ... she did. "I'm sorry!"

Why was she apologizing during a spar?!

Oh that was cool looking. Trisha just watched, just watched as she got hit broke out into a grin. Oh right this was a spar and they were supposed to be sparing. Trisha balled up her fist and swung it in Serafina's general direction... a bit out of range.

"It's fine! we are supposed to hit. Though I missed..." Trisha looked at her fist as if trying to figure out what went wrong. What did go wrong? She put her fist out and everything. She was so close, why did she miss?

"I'm not so good at this." she laughed a bit and shrugged it off, putting her hands back... up, leaning them on her chest a little. There that was comfortable. She would be able to block from there right?

This ghoul might have actually been a bit worse at sparring than she was.

That was somehow comforting, though it didn't make Serafina do much better. In fact, when she tried to make a return punch, she ended up just swatting at Trisha's defensive stance at best, maybe landing something because she had some nicely painted nails to match her ensemble today.

"I'm not very good at this either," responded Serafina, with a small, nervous laugh.

Trisha just grinned when she was hit. That swat was actually a little harder than it looked that and despite being comfortable, her hands didn't have the expected reaction time. "Hummmm..." Trisha walked up and pushed out at Serafina's shoulder.

She didn't really want to injure her friend. She just wanted to Play around. Oh wow did those nails match her outfit? Ok that was pretty awesome.

"That's ok we'll figure it out." Together. That was the idea right?

She was making through this surprisingly ... well, unscathed. Were first years always this harmless, or was it just this girl?

Either way, Serafina was becoming much more comfortable. She was no longer quite so concerned that she would end up being ... shipped off to dissipation land or something. How did dissipation really work? Honestly, Serafina would rather not know. Her experiences in Wonderland were enough for her entire unlife.

This time, she tried to land a hit on Trisha again, but it ended up being a half-hearted swat that missed entirely, causing Serafina to nearly lose her balance and fall on her face.

That failed. Oops.

She started laughing.

When Serafina started laughing Trisha laughed right along with her. Trisha had no idea on how other first years fought but she didn't mine being roughed about a little. though the reality was she just couldn't fight that well either. She really had only two modes, hit hard or not at all. And today, she just couldn't.

She put a hand out towards Serafina but it did nothing. Didn't even touch her, Trisha was far too busy laughing for that.

When Serafina was presented with a hand that failed to even touch her, she just started laughing more. What were they even doing? Was she winning? She couldn't tell, both of them were fighting rather pathetically.

The poor Nosegoblin hadn't landed a hit at all!

Well, she sorta had ... but it felt more like a tickle than anything.

In all her snickering and failed attempts to actually do a more significant amount of damage, Serafina actually managed to hit Trisha. How effective it would be, well, that was hard to say. Serafina wasn't exactly good at packing any level of wallop.

I'm pretty sure the only reason why Serafina is sorta winning is because Y2 dice... she keeps rolling low. XDD

The wallop was effective in pushing Trisha back and she looked surprised. surprised enough to stop laughing for a moment. and then Trisha stepped forward and just... tackled her. She stopped forward and basically laid on her while standing. Trisha might have had enough force to knock her down, she was a big ghoul after all, but then again many smaller things would flee her shadow. Back home Trisha wasn't always very diligent with making sure she didn't step on things, so she generally didn't try to stop them when they escaped her path.
