Let's start with Verity.Backstory:Ever since she was small, Verity has always looked up to her father, Oliver. Her mother was a seductress of ill intent, something he had failed to realize until he was chased away from the baskets. And so, Verity's father came back and snuck off with one of the two baskets while her mother was away.
Oliver did everything in his power to raise her. He knew that there was a high chance that Verity would need to eat meat, and he was proven right. Therefore, he taught her to have respect for all living things, including the animals she hunts. Sadly, his time with her was cut short by Verity's mother.
Verity's mother was furious when she found that one of her baskets had been taken. Even more so when the foal who emerged from the remaining basket lacked the horn of a unicorn, which had been the whole reason she had seduced Walter to begin with. She had known that Oliver had taken one of the baskets, so after the colt emerged, she went in search of Oliver.
It took her a long time, but she finally tracked down Oliver, one hot summer night. When she found him, Verity was nowhere to be found. Enraged, she attacked Oliver. The assault was short, and lethal. Leaving him for dead, she flew off, without so much as looking back. If she had, she might have spotted the very reason she had sought Oliver out to begin with, on her way to where she smelled her father.
Verity only remembers her father telling her to hide and to not come out until he told her to. She was intent on staying in her hidey-hole, even as she heard and smelled things that terrified her. She only came out when the voices and sounds suddenly stopped, as her instincts told her that something was wrong. She headed in the direction she had seen her father go. As she walked, Verity saw a massive shape of her mother, a form she had never seen before or recognized, flying away. It scared her, but it didn't seem to notice her.
As soon as Verity saw her father laying on the ground with his neck bent at an odd angle, something inside of her knew he would never wake up again, but she just couldn't accept it. Verity laid down next to her father's prone body for hours, before she was finally forced to accept the truth. After telling her beloved father good bye, Verity set out on her own.
Now that she is an adult, she is searching for the kalona that killed her father.
Traits: Verity is driven by the desire to make her father proud. She focuses to make sure she never loses control of herself, so she is seldom seen angry. But when she does... watch out. However, she does suffer from severe nightmares, that cause her to wake up thrashing and shouting. Because of this, she can be a bit snappish, but she has a kind heart.
The pendant she wears is a gift from her father. She never takes it off, and refuses to let anyone touch it.
Plots ahoyWell I didn't expect that~
Verity thinks all pure kalonas are out to attack or harm others. I'd like for her to meet a few kalona that defy her expectations of them.Fighting lessons~
Verity may be kind, but learning to defend oneself is never a bad idea. I'd like for her to learn skills for fighting on the ground and in the air. No evil Soqs please.Yes, I hunt~
Verity hunts due to her kalona heritage, but she has a deep respect for the animals she eats, and even has a small ritual she does afterwards. A soq or two who run across her at various points of her hunting trips would be interesting.
