Hello all! x3
So Phail was a bit MIA on the RP front for a while, but really wants to get back into it. Which is why I've decided to finally remake a plot thread, focussing mostly on my lesser-played characters (both to give them a lot of love, and to give me a break and kick my muses back into gear). But I'll be rotating ponies occasionally depending on how much RP they have/what stage of their plots they are up to etc...
So, first and foremost! A warm welcome to all the potential candidates from Phail's herd~

Bio:
As a young cub, Bear will struggle a lot with her nature. Her instincts scream for murder and the warm taste of meat, but that's not an easy thing to get. She trails around behind her mother, not necessarily "nearby", as that would just sign her death warrant, but far enough away to not be a threat. She eats what scraps she can find, snuffling around for any bits of meat she can get. She skulks in the shadows, observing, learning. Slowly she builds up her knowledge whilst practising her hunting skills wherever she can. It will be tough. Her body will call for violent and brunt methods, patience and cunning will not come naturally.
But while she is still young she will learn that she cannot fight with those stronger than her. A few run-ins with hostile strangers will quickly set her in her place, and she will sit back and stew in her hatred and force herself to learn in order to survive.
As she becomes both physically and mentally stronger, she will develop into a fierce hunter. She will be fearless, absolutely ruthless to get what she wants. Though novel ideas will never come easily to her, she will struggle with it and get her just rewards. Her skills in manipulating and twisting will only grow. It will become almost a game for her, what clever way can she trick soquili into trusting her today? Her schemes will vary from the short-term same-hour mauling, to the drawn out plans for a great feast.
She will learn to control the urges deep inside, to control that hatred and rage that runs through her veins. And she will feed. And she will grow powerful and strong. And everyone will cower in her shadows.
Plots: I like the idea of having her 'learn' to be a skinwalker. She isn't going to be a perfect manipulator, not from the get-go, not even close. There will be mishap, and lots of failure. Her family isn't exactly going to teach her, so it's up to herself to learn. I want to follow this journey, from bumbling cub who just wants to maul blindly up to a devious and cunning manipulating grizzly.
Stalker: Bear follows other skinwalkers from the shadows, learning their various strategies to manipulate other soquili. Original ideas are not her forte, she instead skulks around and steals other people's ideas.
Getting Caught: I think it'd be cool if one skinwalker caught her stalking them. Queue world war three. A massive fight scene between the two of them would be super interesting to RP out. She'd probably get totally owned, but it would be a valuable lesson to her.
Testing Her Footing: Bear stops living in the shadows and tries to establish her own techniques, mostly modified from those she's been watching. I can imagine a few failed attempts, maybe some very close near misses. It would be interesting to see her struggle to manipulate others against the instinct to just rip her prey apart. She has to learn that it's not all about instant gratification, sometimes you have to work a bit to get the bigger reward.
Teach Me To Fight: Bear gets over her nature just long enough to fool a Soquili into training her properly. Maybe she convinces them she isn't really a skinwalker, or wears a disguise (idea stolen from her father, of course) so they won't be able to tell. They teach her her to fight, and once she believes she is ready she turns around and brutally mauls them. I like this idea, it forces her to battle with herself and learn a lot of discipline. But she's still doing it for perfectly selfish, evil reasons. It's survival. They teach her to survive, and she takes them out at the end.
Mating: Bear doesn't really get the whole mother-father thing. I doubt she'd understand how biology works. Her first mating would be a mash of crazy hormones, culminating in.... accidental cubs. She'd piece it together, realise what happened, and probably go after and try to murder the father. After all - how dare he do this to her? Would be interesting to see her interactions with her foals. This weird, almost macabre curiosity driving her to stick around to see the baskets pop. She'd force them to stay at a distance, growling them away if they ever strayed even vaguely nearby. Eventually she would grow bored and shoo them away for good, possibly with some blood-shed involved. It's not maternal instinct or anything, she won't feel a bond with the children, it's just a curiosity for her. And after all, after expending so much energy into carrying those things inside her, she'd want to make sure they were actually alive. Purely for the sake of continuing her bloodline.
Development: Bear will grow into a strong, powerful huntress, stalking her prey and manipulating them. Setting her own traps, constantly figuring out new schemes to get those pathetic Soquili to "trust" her. It'll always be fun to RP her scheming and plotting.
FAT BEAR: So Bear recently found herself knocked up. Want to have an overweight bearwalker waddle after you feeling extraordinarily hungry? Note: she's still huge and pretty dangerous, but if you're fast you could definitely outrun her 8D
Other Stuff:
She's perfect for any plots where you need an evil Soq! And because she's young, it's perfectly okay for those to either be successes or failures. She's going to make a lot of mistakes. Plans will go awry for her. But she's also great if you want a Soq death or a kidnapping or anything like that! She doesn't always kill prey immediately, sometimes she tries to save them for a bigger meal later XD
Oh, and interaction with her family would be loved ^.^

Bio:
Timbira was born to a very-free spirited mother, and her father was never very prominent in her life. As a child, she was given a lot of free reign and the ability to do what she wished when she wished. Unfortunately, all of this only led to her being somewhat nervous about life. The lack of guidance has turned her into a very shy and reserved person. It is often hard to get her to talk about anything, and she speaks with a terrified stutter to those she hasn't met before.
Deep down, she wants to become a more outgoing person, and has a secret love of adventures and seeing new things. But it's difficult for her. Currently she has opened up somewhat to the stallion Dathúil. His openness and love for life is infectious, and she can't help but get along with and enjoy his company. However, he has made it clear that he doesn't do long-term relationships, it's just not him. Nonetheless, Timbira is finding herself falling deeply for him. Ultimately, it will end in foals, and she will have to raise them by herself.
Plots:
Interactions: Honestly, Timbira is one of those people I just love doing meet and greets with. Her responses are never dull to RP, and she has such a big heart. So any and all interactions, be they cruel in nature or just a fun-loving Soq (or hell, someone just as shy as herself) are absolutely loved <3
Close Friends: Timbira doesn't get out much. She tends to stay in the same place, generally too scared to go out adventuring. It would be nice if she could get to know some people a bit better.
Darker Encounters: Generally darker plots would be fun too, to scare Timbira away a bit. Make her more convinced the world is a scary place. That she should be shy and scared.
Development: People to take her out adventuring. She needs to break free of her shell, accept that the world has dangers, but also that it is wonderful.

Bio:
Chaldene was born, rather untraditionally for one with Seathi blood, to her mother. She was the result of a fun summertime fling between Cyllene and Sun Chaser, a stallion whom she has never yet met. Her mother, being a bit useless at responsibility, didn't really know what to do. Chaldene was raised to believe the world is a place of fun and adventure, everything in it is a game or a challenge. She grew up without a care, and barely knows how to look after herself. The words "safety" and "caution" won't ring any bells. Her mother lived for the moment, and Chaldene was dragged along after her.
It was a fun, if danger-prone, childhood. Now she's grown up she's started to explore the world up above, as she grew up entirely in the ocean. It really is one great big adventure for her.
Plots:
Relationships: In terms of relationships, Chaldene is up for all sorts! Being so free-spirited, she's not shy at all and doesn't give a damn about other people's opinions. She will freely love anyone, stallion or mare, regular or full-sized, for a night, a month, a year, her whole life. Whatever the situation is, it can happen :3 Flings, lifemates, lovemates are all a-okay, and she's also up for surrogating for other couples too~
What a World: Chaldene spent most of her life underwater, coming up to the surface only to breathe. She was raised by a seathi in the ocean, which is a tough environment for a nixie. But all it did was make Chaldene tough. She can do anything, travel anywhere, she has the stamina for it! Now she is busy exploring the world above. Land was never a thing she could get to when she was young, but now that she's left home - the world is her oyster. Any adventures to be had, perils to be faced, ANYTHING would be amazing <3
Other Stuff:
She's less likely to mate with a seathi or mer (at least for the long-term) because she's become so infatuated with life on land. But it could work if you've got the plot for it x3 (One night stands are completely fine though).

Bio:
Edan's a charmer. He's charismatic with a loose tongue and a love of equine-folk. Easy to be around, he's easy to make friends with, and easy to fall in love with. Edan's biggest flaw is how overeager he is to do things. Once he sets his mind to a task, he refuses to back down, and also tends to act on impulse. He's often hindered by his size, even though he is larger than most Usdia, being an Imp. He lives life freely, living in the present and breezing through life without a care.
Originally, Edan came into the Kawani lands with the rest of the new Usdia sub-breeds, escaping from the Valley when the pass cleared away. Though he was technically part of the herd, his inquisitive nature made it impossible for him to stay, and he has been travelling ever since. The kawani lands have become his home, and he loves it here. Free of the hunters who had oppressed them, he lives his life to the absolute fullest. Additionally, though he rarely speaks of it, he lost most of his family along the way. His brother was taken by the hunters, while his parents were left behind within the Valley, unwilling to leave the place they had grown up in.
Plots:
Relationships: Edan is charming in nature, and as such he has plenty of short-term romances along his journeys. Need a mare's heart broken? Edan's your guy. He won't be cruel about it, but he will woo any female that catches his eye ^.^ This can also be extended into a breeding if you have an Usdia mare! Also of note, Edan places no limitations on his love. While he is heterosexual, he doesn't care about size. Full-sized, aquatic or mini mares are all flirting material as far as he's concerned XD
Chatting up the wrong mare: I think it'd be fun for him to flirt with a mare who's mate is very over-protective. Or hell, even with a mare who's got a snappy tongue and doesn't want to deal with him. Lots of room for tension/trouble-making here x3 Could even escalade into a fight, though Edan would probably end up legging it if it got serious!
I'm a WHAT?: Although I've already introduced Edan to two of his sons, it would be amazing for him to meet his daughters too 8D He had no idea he was a father for either of his breedings. And if they have kids... the news of being a grandfather would be beyond hilarious.
The Challenges of Being a Parent: Edan is currently looking after his recently acquired son, Amur, and is having quite a difficult time with him. Ne knows nothing about how to raise him, and is likely making it all up as he goes. Would be lovely to have interactions with other Soq while at this stage (in an RP with both Edan and foal Amur) - could be something silly like a foal-play date or could be a friendly parent willing to give Edan some advice or really just any random strangers that they happen to meet!
Love-mate: Given Edan's fascination with the new lands, especially with the full-sized Soq that roam it, I would love for him to fall for a full-sized mare with whom he could properly settle down with. <33333

Still working out! But he's incredibly unlucky - to the point where he expects everything in his life to go wrong. Bio:
Iolite is a very warm and open girl. She cares deeply about her sister and mother, and would do absolutely anything for them. However, she is quite calm and reserved, and really is a bit of an introvert. She is very happy to just spend time by herself, enjoying the world without any company.
While she is a part of the pirate colony, she has never found herself particularly wanting of a massive treasure horde. That said, she does greatly enjoy making small trinkets, and has gotten rather good at crafting bits of jewellery. She also loves music, though she isn't too open about this fact. Unlike her sister, who loves to lure others to herself using her voice, Iolite prefers to hum quietly under her breath, just to enjoy the sound of the tune. Those close to her might notice her love for it after a time, but usually if anyone comments on it or catches her humming, she will get quite self-conscious and will stop.
Plots:
Yo Ho Yo Ho: Interaction with fellow pirate colony members would be adored! She's part of a pretty big underwater herd and I'd love for her to get to know them all quite well <3
Soulmates: I really want Iolite to find a lifemate to settle down with. Most of my aquatics are very free with breedings, but Iolite is very special to me. I really want to see her find that one special stallion - someone who will support and love her for who she really is. Someone who can get her to sing in front of them, is willing to help her out with her crafting, and who just enjoys being around all the time. She is of course very flexible, and would give herself one hundred percent to her partner. Whatever he is interested in, she would try to build into her own life too. They would have to be willing to join the pirate colony with her (or be an existing member) - as there is no way she could possibly leave them. They would also have to accept that she has a very close relationship with her sister/mother, and that they mean the absolute world to her.

Bio:
Amur was born to a single mother, along with his sister. She demanded that her foals doted on her and absolutely adored her, but Amur often found himself much more interested in the outside world and was not content to simply bounce around behind his mother. And so, he was rather unceremoniously dumped upon his unsuspecting father, Edan, who had no idea that he even had a son up until that point.
His upbringing was quite interesting for both of them. Edan was an avid traveller, who loved to see the sights and make friends everywhere. He travelled with his close companion, Adenah, a bat who had watched over him since he was a young foal. Amur was a lively, energetic, curious and extremely stubborn foal. See that bright coloured plant over there? He was determined to eat it, much to his father's despair. Or that quicksand? He wanted to leap in just to see what it felt like. Amur has since grown, and has started to wander away from his father's side. While he isn't quite as reckless and stupid in his decisions, he still holds a foal-like curiosity for the world and loves to wander around taking it all in.
Plots:
On the Road: This plot is really pretty much anything~ Amur loves to travel and explore, much like his father. He's up for meeting all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures along the way!

Herd Role: Guardian/Warrior (in the Vitterfolk)
As A Foal: I imagine Hakkar to be a rough-and-tumble sort, constantly getting into scuffs and scrapes. He's a tough individual who makes his opinions known loud and clear, which might get him into heaps of trouble as he's growing up, not that he cares. Constantly restless and active, he loves running about and playing games all day long. Most lessons bore him, unless the topic changes to one of fighting and battles, in which case he is suddenly all ears and the most attentive pupil you will ever see. A little dare-devil, he'll get herself into tons of sticky situations that he might not be able to handle alone as a little colt.
As An Adult: Hakkar is still the fiery tempered, stubborn-a** character that he was a foal. With a snappish tongue and devil-may-care attitude to life, he has a harsh exterior that is hard to breach. On the one hand, he is incredibly fun-loving, if destructive in doing so (e.g. he gets his thrills by doing extremely dangerous things), and will readily start playfully confronting others as a quick way to make friends with them. He sees everything as a challenge that he can overcome; nothing ever gets in the way of him and his goal. Authority is a hard to swallow concept for him, he'll happily boss others around, but doesn't like to take the commands himself. I can imagine him butting heads with Malis and Sen'jin many times, and happily screaming his head off at them to blow off some steam. That said, he is loyal to a fault and would gladly die for his herd. That, no one can deny about him.
Plots:
Vitterfolk: Any and all interactions with his fellow herd members, or just branches of his family who are no longer in the herd, would be absolutely loved. It's an extensive family and I'd love for him to meet lots of members!
In Over My Head: Hakkar is massively overconfident. I'd like for him to get into some trouble, maybe take on a fight at the border that he can't quite handle - just something to rough him a little. Maybe a harpy who tries to steal him? (Though I know there is an agreement between the harpies and the Vitterfolk not to do that, but if there is a more disruptive mare who'd try to give it a go 8D). Or just a mean kalona? Or even a 'walker, though I don't want any permanent damage to Hakkar - and he must be able to eventually drive them away from the herd territory.
Mate: I do eventually want to find Hakkar a mate. She would have to be a very strong individual, someone who can take his attitude and throw it right back in his face. Maybe a fellow warrior, or just a hot-headed mare. I'd imagine they'd butt heads loads, but would be all the stronger for it. He needs someone who is his equal, not just a mare who will be 'nice' and follow him around. She'd preferably also join the Vitterfolk, but it's not required x3

Bio:
There are three main things to know about Caius:
One, he is a complete and utter womaniser. His first words to almost any mare will be some sort of flirtatious compliment, accompanied by his most charming grin. Over the years, he has mastered the art of romance and seduction. Top that off with his adventurous spark and the fact that he almost exudes confidence, it leads to a potent mixture. It would take someone very special to hold his eye for very long, so I doubt he would settle down within anyone for quite a while (if at all). That said, he doesn't deceive people, he makes it clear he isn't in things for the long run from the outset.
Two, he is incredibly vain. His cave is dotted around with mirrors and his curls are most precious to him. Every morning when he wakes up, he will spend hours making sure he looks his best before he ventures outside. But despite this, he is not afraid to get down and dirty. If there's a fight to be had, he'll be in the midst of it. He has a strong sense of honour and duty to the herd, so if anyone is around who he deems to be threatening, he won't be afraid to waltz up to them, suggest they leave and if that doesn't work will get physical. Of course, he'll make a big show about how his curls are ruined afterwards.
Three, apart from all that he's a pretty decent guy. He won't force himself on anyone. He's fun and loves to enjoy life. He refuses to dwell on the bad things for long, preferring to live in the moment and just relax. Oh, and he loves to dance (especially with the ladies).
Plots:
TREASURE: Caius is quite a seasoned member of the Grail herd (aka Maho's pirate colony). Any treasure gathering, opportunities for trade or ANYTHING to do with that, would be amazing.
Four of You?!?: That's right, Caius is a quadruplet. Would love to have some RP interaction with his brothers!
Womaniser: Caius will flirt the socks off of any mare he finds pretty. It's not something he deliberately does (at least not all the time), he just naturally oozes charm and compliments. This could lead to all sorts of fun RP - even if it's just casual flirting during a conversation, to reciprocated flirting, to mares (or their partners) getting awfully unhappy at him for it!
Seductress: If Caius is to tie himself down with any one female - it's got to be someone special. She would have to catch his eye and know how to hold it. He would need to chase after her, like an elaborate game of cat-and-mouse. I'm not saying she has to have edits or match him or anything - honestly it's more of a personality thing. So long as she can hold his interest, usually by being very self-confident and denying him exactly what he wants, then they're good to go. Even if it doesn't ultimately work out it could be fun. They could taunt each other by flirting with others or whatever - depends on their personal dynamics!

Bio:
He's a bit of a traveller, and a smooth talker. Quite charming. Easy to laugh. Enjoys life. So on and so forth.
I think for his backstory, he'll have been young when the storm dropped and the Hippogryphs were freed from the desert/Ulun'suti oppression. He grew up idolising the strong hippogryphs that saved them from living in dust and servitude for the rest of their lives. His parents, used to the desert ways, chose to stay and live there, but he always had an adventurous streak and wanted to break free of his heritage. He grew up to be an independent and confident stallion, and set out to see the rest of the world. He's gotten more used to the Kawani lands now, and spends his time trying to see as much as he can.
(Kinda brief, still workings out the kinks xD)
Plots:
On My Travels: Just seeing the world is good for Alaka'i. He's very familiar with deserts, so anything else is all a bit new to him - especially the other types of Soq. Any interactions with others is loved! Good, bad, anything~
Best Friend: Being on the road by yourself is quite lonely, I'd love for him to make a best friend. Maybe a fellow traveller he meets on the road, or even a fellow hippogryph who was friends way back before the storm even fell (when they were still trapped in the desert serving the 'suti).

I'm very interested in Timbira. I've got Lockes who could be included in the "Darker Encounters". She is generally a pleasant Soquili to be around, but she's hardcore perfectionist. If everything in the world isn't exactly how she wants it to be, she switches to a more psychotic personality. If the imperfection was brought on by another Soquili... Well, bloodshed occurs, and survival of her opponent is rare. Lockes never remembers how she got so much blood on her hooves, and has learned not to question it when it happens. To give Timbira a bit of a scare, I thought a scenario where she could come upon Lockes a few moments after Lockes has dealt with some imperfection. Lockes could be still standing in a bloodied clearing, or if she's washing off her hooves in a shallow stream. If this is enough to scare Timbira off, that's fine, or if you wanted to continue the scenario, Lockes could notice her, and apologize for looking like such a mess. Honestly, she can't remember how all this blood suddenly appeared. She was walking down a pathway, and then she saw a Soquili with some dirt on their pelt, and she tried to wipe it off for them, but they pushed her away and yelled something about who she was touching them like that, but she'd only wanted to help- mind her, and then there was all of that blood on the path, and the Soquili was no where to be found, so she came to the stream to wash up. So that's a pretty dark encounter to consider. Or, if you're looking for a brighter roleplay, my other Soquili Tenzin is much more Soquili-friendly and more of a protecting type. However, he lives solely in the Western Region, while Lockes is a traveler, so if you wanted to interact with him, it would have to be somewhere towards the West, or the Western borders. A scenario with him could include him showing Timbira around the Western Forests, where he grew up, or taking her to the Hot Springs, to relax and unwind from any stress she could've been carrying on her shoulders. Are you interested in either of these ideas?
