[1v1] A Game Of Cheshire Cat & Dormouse! (Camilla vs Carlos)

It was a bright warm day with a hint of n** to the air so where was Camilla today? In the Gym of all places! The Dormouse ghoul sat off to the side contently watching other creeple battle while snacking on the lunch she had brought

Battling had been a point of curiosity for a long time with Camilla her older brother certainly could hold his own as could her parents and frankly being able to at least defend ones self when your out scaring seemed like a important thing however she just never got around to actually looking into it but after coming to Amityville Camilla realized something important... The world was dangerous for Mice... having grown up in Mouseshire where hunting mice was illegal Camilla never realized just how many creatures not only hunted mice but... ate them... just in the short amount of time the Dormouse ghoul had been at Amityville she had had SEVERAL near misses from various creatures including one that turned into a good friendship but it was only a matter of time before it wasn't a near miss...

It was with that thought in mind that Camilla had taken the how not to be seen class it was surprisingly more difficult then she thought but she had passed and greatly improved her sneaking and observing skills it also sparked a interest in how Ninja's fought however one couldn't simply hide in the shadows forever and unlike Reapers Monsters couldn't use weapons which was kinda important for Ninja so while Camilla still planed to work on Ninja skills but knew she needed something more... hand to hand like Monks in video games... however finding actual fighting Monks was harder then it sounded and she had eventually given up on that specific venture and was thinking more just general martial arts

She had yet to find a nearby class yet so the Dormouse ghoul decided to improvise which was why she was now sitting in the Gym watching creeple battle and whenever she'd see someone fighting hand to hand she'd get up and attempt to mimic them and so after a small lunch break she was doing just that punching the air and trying to mimic the tiger boil's stance she was out of the way so she wouldn't hit anybody and focusing pretty hard on making her punches match the tigers... this unfortunately meant she wasn't listening for any potential pouncers either...

After his last fight, Carlos had found himself a new place to sit and watch occasionally. He liked watching, the creeple were very interesting in their antics. they fought, wrestled and played with weapons. For him it was a bit like watching cat TV.

After his last bought with AJ, Carlos had little interest in actually fighting. He was far too lazy for that. They were just interesting because they were moving objects. He settled tucking his limbs under him as he sat in the bleachers, eyes surveying the gym.

That was... up until he spotted a person. Not jut any person, a mouse, a dor mouse. Carlos's ears perked up as he watched her mimic a tiger. Oh not bad. She looked lovely, and determined. But could she use any of that? Oh little mouse moving around twisting to and fro. Carlos's tail twitched. Mouse moving. Mouse fighting. Mouse mouse mouse.

Carlos's legs curled up under him and he moved down the bleachers, one seat at a time. He ducked down turning as invisible as he could, blue and transparent like, even though his stripes shone clearly.

It didn't mater, she wasn't paying any attention. He got down, and floated, careful not to make a sound till he was close enough to pounce and pounce he did. "Mew!"

(Holy crud! It actually worked!)

Camilla had been so busy focusing on kicking and punching like the Tiger boil (who now seemed to be showing off after he discovered he was being mimiced) she didn't hear Carlos's approach not that she would have anyway but she normally would have a least smelled him however the Dormouse ghoul had let down her guard in a place where it probably should have been up at all times and was about to regret it

She honestly hadn't known Carlos had battled eariler and was in the Gym again now if she had the pounce would have been expected but as it was it wasn't... Camilla had just completed a kinda poor attempt at a round house kick when suddenly there was Carlos on her back mewing in her ear! "Eeep!" she yelps having being taken completely unaware by the Cheshire Cat several times he had tried to pounce her and failed but this time he succeeded! It was a good thing the Dormouse ghoul hadn't yet taken any formal Martial Arts lessons yet or she might and tossed him as it was her tail puffed up and she froze in place to keep from attempting such until she identified her pouncer

The yelp actually caused a few creeple to look at them but Camilla didn't really care all she cared about in that moment was finding out what had landed on her back! Luckily the mew was a good clue and once the adrenaline wash faded a bit she was able to take in the familiar scent of a certain Cheshire Cat "H-hoh! Carlos! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" she exclaims slightly breathlessly while putting a hand to her chest last time she was pounced like that she nearly got eatten... finally after a few moments more she regained her composure and sighs a breath of relief "Phew... heh... mischievous kitten!" she laughs after a moment then reaches back to scratch a ear "What are you doing in the Gym this fine marrow? Looking for a spar maybe?!" she asks the last question might have been asked a tad bit to excitedly after seeing others fight she wanted to as well!

Carlos finally successfully pounced her!

The squeak that came from his prey was quiet satisfying.

"Carlos was creeple watching when he spotted something to hunt." Carlos licked her ear, just a little just a little. Camilla was delicious. "A cat must hunt. A cat hunts. A cat kills. A cat eats." Carlos attempted to once again use more simple language to communicate with his fellows students. "But Carlos would never kill Camillia. Camillia is friend of highest regard. A cat must hunt and keep his skills up but a friend is a friend, and it's rude to eat a friend." Very rude. Carlos was a good kitty, but he wanted Camillia to know he wouldn't hurt her. The dor mouse also was a great way for him to practice his hunt. He didn't really need to hunt but, instincts were a hard thing to ignore, even for a lazy cat.

"Spar? Carlos does not spar, Carlos hunts or does not hunt." sparing and rough housing was something his older siblings did, generally to him, not with him.

She shivers as the Cheshire Cat boil licks her ear cat tongues were something she was still getting used to and it was a good thing Carlos hadn't said she tasted delicious aloud because it might have freaked her out a bit... just a bit...

The Dormouse ghoul listens intently as Carlos explained cats and hunting even though she was a mouse herself Camilla could see the importance in keeping such skills sharp even if they weren't needed she beams happily at what he said about her being a close friend of his and that he'd never eat her she felt a small bit of worry she had for a while vanish and felt slightly more at ease around him he had said it before but after explaining the importance of hunting for cats and stating their friendship it hit home harder

"Aw thanks heh!" she says happily petting him a bit but frowns some as he explained he didn't do spars he hunted but wasn't into spars thats when Camilla's face lit up with a idea! "If you need to or want to practice hunting maybe we could play a hunting game!" she suggests excitedly "I run and such and you chase BUT!" she explains making the but stand out "In this game the prey will fight back! It would be a good test of your skills~♪" she says in a sing song voice at the end in a attempt to make it sound more appealing Camilla needed to learn how to deal with persuing predators obviously she wasn't skilled enough by example from her earlier pouncing so this seemed like a great way!

Without waiting for a response Camilla grins then quickly takes off her skullpin and stuffs it in her pocket there was two poofs of smoke one purple one seafoam green Carlos would quickly find the Dormouse he was perched on was no longer there as the first puff of smoke changed the Dormouse ghoul into her natural form and the second shrunk her to her smallest size a meer 2-3 inches! The tiny still clothed Dormouse ghoul dashes out of the quickly fading smoke on all fours she wasn't concerned about Carlos hurting himself from falling she was however concerned about being squished by a falling Cheshire Cat when she was far enough away turns to look at the now Giant sized Cheshire Cat before standing on two paws "What do you say?" she asks excitedly

The dormouse seemed to understand him. she was certainly staring at him intently enough. he wasn't sure he liked being stared at and hid slightly behind his fluffy tail, fading just a bit. his stripes still stood out against the backdrop. but all pettings were accepted. this Dormouse was his friend after all. He seemed to have done e very good job explaining something very important and she was his friend.

A hunting game?" Carlos mused that, ears drooping to the sides and one twitching back up as he thought. "Yes very good, Prey should fight back. It is for its life if fights after all, you should learn to escape in case into you run another cat. a Banderstach could be very dangerous after all." He nodded. he would play this hunting game. Yes, this hunting game was a very good idea for both. Well not for him, food was usually brought to him and could be found in plenty at the cafeteria. Usually Carlos was lazy but hunt... his instincts were screaming at him.

Carlos waited a moment to give the ghoul a sporting head start and carefully removed his own pin, tucking it into his collar. He was now a cat. It felt nice to be back in his natural form. Carlos shook himself, preparing himself and gave his fur a nice licking to relax. This was an important prey hunt. He would have to be careful.

"Go be prey, Carlos will chase, not kill, just chase, and hunt." he promised.

"Yay! Alright!" she cheers excitedly before nodding "Thanks" she says at him telling her he would not eat her before getting in what might only be described as a mouses attempt at a fighting pose... needless to say it was not intimidating...

Camilla had absolutely no idea how she could fight not only in her natural form but at this size... biting wasn't her thing sure there were Dormouse Monsters with the jaw strength to rend bone and chew threw rock but Camilla was not one of these Dormice and she never planned to be either however a trademark weapon of mice were their teeth which meant the Dormouse ghoul would just have to get creative! The round house kick from before came to mind and she decided she'd try that

"Ok here I come!" she announces excitedly which probably wasn't the wises thing to do but she did it anyway the tiny Dormouse ran at the much larger Cheshire Cat and 'attempted' a round house kick... which looked more like a odd dance step and probably felt more like a light tap then a kick "Oh dear..." she says softly quickly realizing her situation "And here I go!" she announces then without warning jumps away and lands on all fours before taking off to weave in and out between creeples feet confident Carlos would be hot on her tail any second now

Camilla surprised him when she ran, not away, but up to him. Carlos started at her, in her natural form and sort of turned a little intangible on her when she tried to kick him. He was a ghost after all. Her attempt was... amusing to say the least.

And then she tried to run. Finally instincts kicked in. Hunt, chase hunt! Carlos was off running between and through people's feet at he turned partially intangible through one ceeper's leg.

His tail straightened and his legs coiled as he sprung through the air and landed on the mouse with one paw. She might have gotten a little squished under it. "Camilla?" he picked up the paw looking under it, making sure she was ok, snapping out of his hunting induced haze.

The pare zipped through dodging attacks zipping around legs before long some creeple had even sat down on the bleachers to watch the spectacle Camilla was actually having fun zig zagging and barely dodging away it was like a really thrilling game of tag! Until she got 'tagged'...

All the thrill from the chase had made Camilla semi forget just what was chasing her and why they were playing this game in the first place however she was reminded the hard way as she stole a glance back at Carlos only to see him not there realizing moments too late where he was "Oof!" she says as a paw smashed her to the ground with most of the Cheshire Cat's weight behind it! Luckily his claws seemed to be in and the most it seemed to do was knock the wind from her

When he lifted his paw and said her name questioningly she coughs and waves a paw "Fine! I'm fine!" she says breathlessly before getting up and shaking herself a bit "Phew going to have to watch out for that!" she says surprisingly cheerfully considering she just nearly got squished by a Cheshire Cat before dusting herself off then taking off again on all fours determined to pay better attention this time

"Oh oh good. yes, very good." Carlos gave the mouse a bit of a head start once again.

Carlos waited an appropriate amount of time before taking off after her again, not minding the creeple, he just zipped around a student's leg nearly causing them to fall.

She let the chase continue for a while as she tried to think of a way to fight in this form eventually however she finally came to the conclusion that her current form wasn't good for battle it was good for sneaking and such but not for battle after a near miss which only happened because she swerved around someone's leg at just the right second much to their displeasure

It was with that thought in mind that Camilla suddenly dashed for a more open part of the gym leaving the relative safety of legs and bleachers once in a open spot and clear of any other battlers she suddenly jumps into the air and theres a puff of seafoam green smoke out of the smoke flies a much larger Dormouse! Now at her natural height of 2ft she lands then whirls around before charging at Carlos in a attempt to tackle him

Carlos was hot on the mouse's heel's when suddenly there was a puff of smoke and his prey was as big as he was. she charged him but he took it head on claws extended, jaws hungry and open.

He took Camilla in the chest falling over but went for her ear biting whatever he could reach.

Carlos seemed to hit Camilla with almost as much force as she hit him with however that wasn't the problem he had claws which seemed to come out as they collided she felt sharp stings as the claws dug through her shirt and into her chest while the pare went tumbling

For a moment they were just a rolling ball of blue striped fur and chocolately brown fur until they came to rest Camilla saw Carlos going for her ear just in time to jerk her head away as the fangs started to close in causing a scratch along the bottom of her left ear but otherwise missing the Dormouse ghoul knew she had to get him off so she attempted to get her back paws on his belly and shove him off but it wasn't easy when she was trying to keep his teeth away from her ear

Carlos was defeated, as he attempted again and again to go for the ear. He just wanted a little nibble. "stay put." he tried to at least pin the ghoul, but was having no luck with the slippery mouse.
