[Research PRP] Dreams of Desert Adventures [Camilla & Mayaa]

It started the day before when Camilla was in the library she had been browsing around looking for a interesting book to read while running her fingers lazily over books she past when a shiver ran through her "Hm?" she says stopping and looking around 'that was curious' she thinks it wasn't any colder then usual in the library so why did she shiver so suddenly? It didn't occure to her to look at the book under her hand and after a moment she shrugged and pressed on later that night the Dormouse ghoul's sleep turned restless as a curious dream filled her sleeping mind

There was sand every! Plus it was hot and humid like no place the Dormouse ghoul had ever been! She found herself in a dark stone lined corridor that reminded her of the ones you might find in a Egyption tomb how she knew this was like humans durring the victorian period one of the things Mouseshireans were interested in was Egypt and Camilla had read many a book on the ancient kingdom though admitedly Halloween knowledge on the place might be slightly askewed... but Camilla didn't know that

In the dream she felt excited and hyper which could mean only one thing! She was on a adventure! This fact only hyped the dreaming Dormouse up further and she pressed on down the corridor she knew someone was with her but didn't know who but in that moment it didn't matter however just as she heard a distent hissing her alarm clock startles her awake

"Huh!? What!? Who!?" she says still more then half asleep with wisps of the dream still tugging at her mind strangely she found herself splayed out on her large king sized bed nearly at the edge instead of curled up in the middle a ball like she'd normally be the grumpy looks from the minis that normally slept with her told the Dormouse ghoul she'd had a restless night... but who wouldn't after having that kind of dream!

Classes and campus adventures were forsaken in favor of the library that day she found herself drawn there and spent all day looking for a book she felt drawn too alas however she didn't find it and went home troubled but eager this night's rest was equally as restless as the dream picked up where it had left off Camilla found herself deeper in it felt dangerous and exciting! she was sweaty and even more full of adrenaline then before but could place why however she felt drawn deeper in and just as she was about to enter a room that gave her a feeling of satisfaction the alarm clock goes off once more "What!? Huh!? Oh..." she says startled once more she had been so close this time... but close to what?

That was the burning question on her mind this day as she felt a even stronger pull to the library then before she now knew what section of the library the book she wanted was in but still couldn't find it! She went home empty handed but eager once more and wasted little time getting to sleep when bed time rolled around again the dream picked up where it left off she made her way through the humid mist into a room which made her stop and gaze in awe...

It was a room chock full of treasure! The excitement for the adventure practically doubled as she looked over everything it self dangerous in the room she didn't care as seven items in particular caught her attention they rested proudly on a pedestal for all to see however in actually there were nine pedestals but only seven treasures which meant two had been taken already but that mattered not to the Dormouse ghoul as the remaining seven seemed to call out to her each vying for her attention calling her to take one and just as she reached her hand out ready to take one her alarm clock went off almost startling her out of bed!

"Huh!? Wha!? Oh!" Camilla says sleepily as found herself near the edge of the bed again with her minis looking at her grumpily today she wasted no time in getting to the library going so far as to even skip breakfast! The pull was at its strongest and she knew exactly where the book she had been looking for was! quickly she rushes to the section she had wandered into days before and went straight to the book she'd touched when she shivered upon touching it again another shiver ran through her and she eagerly pulls the book off the shelf

"Artifacts and You?" she whispers as she reads over the title of the sizeable tome Camilla certainly had heard of Artifacts who hadn't? But she didn't know much about them other then they were old items with magic in them... being a hand me down sort of culture Mouseshire had plenty of low grade Artifacts however as Camilla read on she learned that there were really powerful ones and before long she came to a list of Artifact rich places

Eagerly she read over the description of the places until she came to one that made her eyes light up excitedly "The Ancient Necropolis..." she whispers her voice full of excitement it was a ancient tomb long lost buried in the sands of the desert that made up the ancient kingdom if Egypt! The Sahara! (Wow... two part post...)

The Dormouse ghoul's tail was practically thrashing with excitement which earned her a few curious looks but it didn't matter to her she was too excited and absorbed in her findings to care the description of The Ancient Necropolis was almost exactly like the place in her dreams! This must be the place she needed to go! Adventure + Treasure?! Score!! It was settled Camilla had to go to The Ancient Necropolis and after reading that portals to there sometimes showed up in the Weeping Woods she was off!

So where? You might think the weeping woods but no! The Dormouse ghoul rushed out of the library and stopped outside dumbfounded for a moment in her dream someone had been with her and while she didn't know who it had been in the dream she knew who she wanted to bring! Now the only problem was finding the Harpy ghoul...

The first place the Dormouse ghoul decided to look for Mayaa naturally was her room unfortunately she didn't know where the Harpy ghoul lived... However! Camilla figured she'd just wander around the vast Monster Dorms and hope she'd get lucky! It was a long shot but one she hoped would pay off

And Pay off it did! It hadn't taken her long at all to find the Harpy ghoul and saw her just as she was stepping out of her room "Mayaa!" she calls excitedly and cheerfully then waves before bouncing over to the sleepy hungry Harpy "Hi Mayaa! Would you be up for a adventure!?" she asks a tad bit too excitedly while her tail wagged a mile a minute was Camilla hyper and overly excited right now? Yes! Yes she was! And in her excitement she had yet to notice the disheveled look to Mayaa's hair or her sleepy expression...

"Huh! Eeep!" she squeeks as Camilla suddenly found herself in a Harpy... bird hug? And the pare toppled over onto the hall floor "Oof!" she says then laughs a bit guess this served her right for practically ambushing a sleepy predator!

Before long Mayaa was asking about food... The Dormouse ghoul was starting to wonder if Mayaa was always hungry... "I can bring a lunch! But... you should probably get breakfast first! The Adventure I have in mind is a Artifact hunt!" she says excitedly before trying to wriggle out of Mayaa's arms she wondered if Mayaa knew what that was and was ready to explain it to her! ...Right after she got free from the bird hug... The last time she got a bear/bird hug from Mayaa she nearly suffocated... it was not something she wanted to experience again if she could help it...

When Camilla finally got free she stands up and brushes some dust off her cloths before putting a hand to her chin in thought "Hm... well the artifact is in a desert... so we should probably bring plenty of water and wear light cloths to keep cool..." Camilla says in a thoughtful tone she honestly wasn't entirely sure what one needed for a desert adventure... she was unsure if they would have to actually be traveling through the desert or whether they would dropped be right where they needed to be by the portal...

Finally after a bit Camilla nods "Just bring water and anything you can think of that might be useful in a desert adventure!" she says cheerfully before smiling and nodding again "We should meet at the weeping forest around... Noon?" she says posing the last word as a question unsure if noon would be a good time for Maya

Camilla says excitedly she was eager to get to their adventure but as the pondering expression came over which caused the Dormouse ghoul to frown a bit as she wondered what Maya was wondering however she almost sighed in both exasperation and amusement as Maya asked if they wanted to have breakfast together almost instead she smiles and laughs "Sure! I can cook!" she says cheerfully she truthfully needed breakfast as well even if she did want to get right to the adventure

"Ever had a Full Mouseshirean Breakfast?" she asks the Harpy ghoul as she turns and starts heading for her dorm (I really need to get Camilla's Dorm Details worked out...)

(*Takes a deep long beath* Ok bare with me this description of Camilla's Dorm is going to likely be long and somewhat confusing as I'm writing it on the spot...)

"Hah hah not really! I make it all the time!" She says cheerfully as she walks along this would be her first time ever having a friend over for breakfast! And the thought put a little extra bounce in her step ...That was until she actually got to her door and had pulled her key out when a thought struck her... Maya liked Rodent minis... But not for pets... Least to Camilla's knowledge however she hadn't tried to eat her two minis at the carnival so... maybe it would be ok! Mentally nodding she incerts the key into the door and turns it

It was easy to pick out Camilla's dorm from other dorms firstly because her door was the only door along a long stretch of wall and secondly her door didn't look like other dorm doors it was much fancier! The wood was a rich brown color that was beautifully carved with filigrees and flowers some of the carvings were inlaid with glass others were painted about chest height beautiful clouded emerald colored glass allowed a shadowed peak into her room even the Door handle was fancy it was a round spring green ceramic knob with five red glass roses inlaid on it and silver fixings four of the roses circled the middle and one rose sat proudly ontop the rose ontop also happened to slide to the side to reveal a hidden Keyhole and as one might expect the key itself which the Dormouse ghoul held was fancy a Silver skeleton key type key with beautifully cut teeth and a red double sided metal rose ontop
(If you've ever played Rune Factory Frontier the doors on those houses are what I have in mind)

As the door would be opened the first thing the Harpy ghoul might notice is the plethora of Minis which came to greet them! A good fifty minis must have run up to the pare most being various mouse sized treats and other small rodent minis but some bigger additions included two large dog sized Callapis and a cat like Wishing mini "Hi guys! Heh I brought a friend over for breakfast!" she announces receiving many excited squeaks, chirps, and thumps in reply the room was dark due to the large green curtains which shut out the Pumpkin Sunlight reaching over to her left Camilla flips a switch turning on the light and revealing that her room matched the door!

The main body of the Dorm was one huge room! It was 50ft by 30ft with a good 20ft from floor to ceiling! Did Camilla ever tell Maya she was from a really wealthy family? If not her room pretty much did! Rich brown wood made up the floor and amazingly didn't seem to have a single scratch on it! Lighter brown wood trimmed the walls along the floor and ceiling while on the walls a beautiful and fairly detailed garden scene was painted that made one feel as if they were outside almost! With the light on one could see just how big the curtains which covered the windows were! They easily covered a good 20ft of the wall leaving around 15ft on either side the Curtains also were painted to blend in with the wall when closed

Speaking of light if the Harpy ghoul chose to look up at the ceiling she would see that it was painted to look like a sky scene and lined along the edges with crown molding painted white to mimic clouds in the very center of the ceiling Maya would find a beautiful white crown molding medal and hanging from it a exquisite chandelier clear cut crystals and glass dangled from a frame made of stirling silver while white fake candles sat proudly with flame shaped bulbs casting a warm glow that was meant to both mimic fire and the pumpkin sun with the addition of the sky scene one might be able to guess that the theme of the room was a giant garden "Come on in!" Camilla says cheerfully before moving towards the curtains

Before she could get to said curtains however she had to go around two obstacles the first was a huge table! Made of the same dark wood as the floor and door this massive 10ft by 10ft round table sat proudly in the center of the room much like the door it had beautiful filigrees and flowers carved into it with some being inlaid with glass or painted ontop of the giant table was a equally giant table cloth spring green in color with various painted flowers dotting the cloth it was arranged so that the top was covered but the legs which held most of the carvings were not set around this massive table was four matching elegant chairs and in the center of the table was a large flower arrangement made mostly of Roses There also... Happened to be a few books and what looked like homework set on one side while the other opposite side held a rather fancy looking laptop... After navigating around the large table with ease the Dormouse came to her second and most difficult obstacle to get around

If the Harpy ghoul had a good sense of smell she'd notice the room was full of wonderful scents! Flowers, Herbs, even Vegetables! and the source of these-

(Got to do this in at least two parts... Darn DS I'll lump them together one day)

-Smells would become apparent once one went around the table (Or looked under it) Along the wall spaning the same length as the window was a huge square foot garden! The box which made up the garden was 25ft give or take a few inches by 5ft leaving just enough space between the box and the table for a chair to fit in there 25 one foot by one foot squares were built into the both with wooden dividers less then a inch thick the wood which made the box was a lighter colored wood that smelled like cedar inside each square was at least one sometimes two or more thriving plants which ranged from things like lavender to mint to daisies to carrots! She had a garden in her garden themed room! The box was built to fit right against the wall which only left the Dormouse ghoul a few inches inbetween the box and the window

But that was fine with practiced ease Camilla steps through her garden over to the window then begins gathering up the curtains as she did the windows reveals themselves! They were grand floor to ceiling windows which let the early morning light pour into the room a beautiful view of the forest behind the Monster Dorms revealed that the door faced east while the windows faced west that meant that the longer part of her room faced north and south Camilla did this on purpose so that morning light wouldn't wake her up early and so she could get a good view of the forest

With more light now let in the room the Maya might start to notice the rest of the furniture tucked into the north west corner of the room was Camilla's bed a grand king sized bed which practically dwarfed the Dormouse ghoul dark wood like the table and door made up her head and foot board which like the table and door were carved and inlaided while a beautiful rose bush themed bed spread covered her bed next to her bed was a matching sidetable and at the foot of her bed a large wooden chest which could easily be mistaken for a treasure chest across from her bed along the east facing wall was a large matching Armoire next to that set midway between the armoire and the enterance was a large closet door which sat open allowing Minis to come and go freely on the other side of the armoire was two doors located on the north facing wall one set about a foot and a half from the corner seemed to lead to a closet of sorts it was made of the same dark wood as the other door but had no carvings instead had wooden slats this door also was smaller and thiner then the other doors

Next to the storage closet door was another door this one just like the entrance door however it lacked the carving or glass of the entrance door and the knob was a simply green ceramic with no roses directly across from this door on the south facing wall was a twin door exact in every way to it's north facing twin on that side of the east facing wall Maya might have noticed a long ornate table right next to the entrance where Camilla threw her door key however for the most part there was little else along that wall save for some pillows tucked messily in the southeast corner plus a tall lamp that corner often served as a reading knook for the Dormouse ghoul along the south facing wall however was a lot her entertaining area of sorts was located in the southwest corner

In the 10ft between the garden and the wall was a large elegant couch (Think Victorian/Edwardian style) which faced the south wall with dark brown wood and covered in a spring green fabric across from the couch was a large dresser and ontop of that was a rather large flat screen SkreeVee (Tv) tucked into the corner along the west facing wall was a large bookcase filled with books of all shapes and sizes finally next to the bookcase was a small wastebasket which filled in the remaining space between the garden and the bookcase nicely

This was Camilla's Dorm and they hadn't even gotten into the bathroom or kitchen yet! (Have to imagine what her room at home is like!)

When the curtains were opened Camilla happily motions to one of the chairs located around the table "Feel free to have a seat!" she says happily before moving to the south door and stopping "We're making a full Mouseshire breakfast today guys! So I need-" she says then begins listing off names as she did minis began gathering around her till all were present "Alright! Time to make breakfast!" she announces cheerfully then opens the door yes even making meals hyped up the Dormouse ghoul

As Camilla held the door open for her minis Maya if she looked might get a peak of the Dormouse ghoul's kitchen before she slides through the door herself and lets it shut

*Flails* Sorry for the epically long and likely very confusion description of Camilla's room! There's still the Kitchen and bathroom to describe too! Hah hah... But I felt I should give you a chance to post! ^^;

After Camilla entered the kitchen most of the minis that hadn't been called in returned to what they were doing unbothered by the Harpy ghoul's presence a small hoard of Blossilia along with various insect minis tended the garden while a myriad of treats did everything from playing tag to listing to music in the Dormouse ghoul's reading nook the glowing orbs of starrat and (incert dragon rat mini whos name I can't remember off hand) glinted from out under the bed and from the slightly open closet door one could hear bat like squeeks however... a small handful of minis kept a close eye on Mayaa...

And Finally theh made their presence know to her! First was a pare of Key Treats a Divine Rose and Rumbling Rose Key Treat respectively the pare float (Yes float I imagine treats to be small mouse sized fairy like minis that can fly and float like a fairy lol) right up the Harpy ghoul's face till they were eye level the female Divine Rose treat smiles cheerfully and waves at Mayaa only to be blocked by a protective male Rumbling Rose Treat he looks into the ghouls eyes seriously as if trying to gadge her intent however he didn't have long to stare because the Divine Rose treat soon shoves him out of the way in annoyance and before long the pare were fussing mid air! The next minis to check out Mayaa were a pare of large Callapis one a dapple the other a spore both were as big as minis get at 3ft and outsized Camilla in her natural form even! Both Callapis give the Harpy ghoul a suspicious look before fake yawning to show off their long sharp canines as if to say Try something... I dare you!

The next mini to come see the monster was a teleport warning Starrat at first he was watching the ghoul calmly from under the bed until there suddenly was a puff of smoke from under the bed then a puff of smoke on the table when the smoke cleared the mini was on the table looking cooly at the Harpy ghoul after that THREE Fawn Child came up to Mayaa each hitting the 3ft mark the leader of the group crosses his arms and watches the ghoul calmly not long after the Starrat a large cat like Wishing Crown jumps on the table and crouches next to the starrat then stares unblinkingly at Mayaa... and stares... and stares...

Finally the last two minis that came up to 'greet' the Harpy ghoul were a pare of Miced Tea a cream colored one and a guardian the ghoul might remember the two mice from Camilla's both game! It was Sugar and Shiroi! After carefully climbing up onto the table the two mice start squeaking at the other minis when they do all the other minis look at the pare even the squabbling Key Treats then after a moment all of the minis in essence shrug and move off to go about their business and with good timing too because shortly after Camilla pokes her head out of the kitchen "Mayaa! Do you want Tea or Coffee? And would you like Milk or Juice too?" she asks cheerfully

With the door open the smells of bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, and even... beans? came wafting out of the kitchen

Sorry for the delay lol I think I'll save the kitchen description for our other rp Mayaa is going to be in Camilla's kitchen to bake spookies anyway and the bathroom description can wait too she's no reason to go in there currently
