Prologue

Let me tell you a story of how things came to be. Long ago magic used to be feared by many. Those who used it were rare and very powerful. Kingdoms would fight to have the most powerful Mage on their side to fight their wars for them. These Mages align to Kingdoms and fought one another to gain even more power. What is this power you ask? Well they went by another name that is now lost to us, but history calls them Relics. Relics have powerful magic that could destroy armies even the Kingdoms these Mages fought for. But after 100 years of fighting the 1st Relic wars came to a end. Kingdoms had fallen and the Relics vanished from the face of the earth. But it was not long after a man found what we now call the Rosetta Stone. With this artifact he crated what we now use for magic. The M.U.S.E or Magical Usage and Storage Electronics. But to balance the power of magic each M.U.S.E is programed with a specific function or magic it can use. Some made for normal every day tasks. And some made for battle. But even with this the Kingdoms weren't happy with just that. They wanted the Relics that held great power so that they could use them to rise to the top, like the Kingdoms before them. Now we come to where we are today. Kingdoms are now training new Mages and they are on the hunt to find Relics that had long sense been forgotten. What will become of this? Will we be able to have peace or will there be another Relic War?


Story

Its has been 1000 years sense the end of the Relic Wars and now magic is used in daily life. The world is now broken up into five Kingdoms and has been at peace for many years now. With the help of the M.U.S.E each Kingdom has jump started their own Mage programs for different reasons, some good and some bad. Our story takes place in the Kingdom of the Sun at one of the Kingdoms funded Mage Guilds Radiant Dawn.

RULES!!! MUST READ!!!


No godmodding unless you are designated as the Arc's main bad guy cause you don't beat the final boss at the beginning now do you lol.
No cybering. If you happen to get romance that far please issue a time skip.
Try not to do to many one liners. It doesn't have to be a paragraph but least put some effort into it. Save the one liners for when your character doesn't have much to do.
Don't kill off any important people unless you have permission from the person and/or myself.
Please be respectful.
And please post as much as you can. If you will be heading out for a while then let me know and I or you can put your character somewhere so we can keep the story moving. If you go off for to long beyond what you tell me I may have no choice but to either take over or kill off you character.
This rp will be running in Arcs. If you don't already know Arcs are basically like a season in a anime, where you might fight a certain person or faction or something to that effect. When a Arc is over I will make a new place for characters that carry over and new ones for who might be new or just there for the Arc itself.

Nickname:King of the Sun, The Spear of Radiance, the Light of Dawn.
Age: 59

Weapon/M.U.S.E:Tamriel his spear is embued with one of the M.U.S.E that he wields. Alone it's head has a sharpness almost unparalleled to any sword crafted in the lands while the rest of it is crafted from the strongest of metals the kingdom of sun has to offer. Like his spear only the finest metals were used to forge his armor into which his final M.U.S.E was placed within the gauntlets.
Abilities/Skills: Aside from his martial prowess at both hand to hand and combat with his spear. He wields Tamriel a spear that can channel the light thru it's tip and direct it in a blast towards where it is pointed. The M.U.S.E locked within his gauntlets summoned a shield of light on the arm that it was triggered that can be used to block attacks but can shatter when struck with enough force.
Weaknesses:His love for his Kingdom and want to see to it that no harm befalls it or it's people, Has a tendency to overly focus on the enemy at hand and can be prone to flank attacks.
Bio: One of many in the line of rulers of the Sun Kingdom. Kaelthas has ruled during his time with warmth and compassion towards any who call the Kingdom home. During his time when he was in his younger years as a ruler Kaelthas offering aid to a town on the outskirts ravaged by bandits. After cleaning the town and burying what dead they found he ran across Damion a child some how spared from death by the graces of the sun. Taking the boy under his wing he adopted him as his own and brought him back to the kingdom. Watching Damion grow along side his own son has brought pride to the king. Even during his duties he has tried to keep tabs on the two as much as he can to see their growth.

Nickname: The Desert Blade, the Sandstorm

Weapon/M.U.S.E: Kasim wields a pair of swords, each with a different M.U.S.E in them.
Abilities/Skills: Thanks to the M.U.S.Es he has, one sword can create blades of wind, while the other can create a wall of sand, usually as defense. It's by using these two abilities together that he's learned to create small small sandstorms around himself or his enemy, which is how he earned his nicknames.
Weaknesses: Kasim has a soft spot for his family, and even the family of others. If you tell him a good enough sob story about the plight of a relative, it's easy to sway him to your side. Even past that though, he's a truly good man at heart and has a hard time telling people no.
Bio: Kasim came from a far off and distant country, and once upon a time his family was living relatively comfortably. As a young boy, he and his younger brother lived with their parents in the palace. They weren't royalty, but their father held a high rank in the palace guard while their mother was one of the servant girls. Life was good and Kasim trained under his father, until he was killed in the line of duty during an assassination attempt on the emperor. From there it only went downhill when the emperor forced Kasim's mother to sleep with him. When Kasim's mother was revealed to be pregnant, they were all thrown out of the palace and forced to live in the slums to prevent a scandal with the emperor. Now with three younger brothers, a younger sister, as well as his mother to look after, Kasim has come far to use his combat skills in a way that could support his family. He's secured a good standing in the Sun King's guard, and any pay he gets is sent home to his family.
Crush: The only women he sees are the servant girls and cooks in the castle, and he barely has time to socialize with them, so no one is on his mind right now.

Radiant Dawn

Name:Damion Lockheart
Nickname:Master Lockheart(to his guild, and The Inquisitor(To the rest of the world.)
Age: 30

Faction: Radiant Dawn Guild Master
Weapon/M.U.S.E:He has many different things that he uses but his main MUSE is a pair of gloves. But he also has a mysterious book that he always keeps on his person that no one knows what it is or does.
Abilities/Skills: His Gloves have the ability to weave together the elements of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. A MUSE normally don't have this many abilities but his was made special while he served under the King. He is also skilled in many strategies of battle.
Weaknesses:His love for his Guild is something that he would do anything to protect. And that could very well be his downfall.
Bio:Damion was born on the outskirts of the kingdom. One day his town was attacked by bandit mage's and they killed everyone. When the King and his knights came to help they found Damion, and the King decided to take him in when he found out that he could use a MUSE he was sent to the Mage Academy. There he learned how to use Magic and was the top of his class and soon enough he ended joining the military where he soon because well known as The Inquisitor of the King. After fighting for a while he decided he wanted to help rid the world of Black Mages by creating Radiant Dawn where he now is happy and trains the next generation of mages.
Crush: Not that I know of atm.

Name:Jacob Sutherland
Nickname:The Tide-caller
Age: 26

Faction: Radiant Dawn
Weapon/M.U.S.E:Archus, his staff is his main weapon. It helps Jacob to manipulate water magic greatly. His right glove contains a MUSE for a lighting bolt spell many times used in conjunction with his staff after soaking a target.
Abilities/Skills: A water mage of significant skill whether offensively or defensively he is proud to say that only a master could top him in aptitude for the element.
Weaknesses:Physically weak, Close combat his strongest spell has a chance to hit him as well so he tends to not cast it, Not a melee style fighter so keeps bruisers in front of himself usually.
Bio:A rather hard headed and proud mage. Jacob learned early the ways of controlling water magics. When he finally came of age his first decision was to join the Radiant Dawn to help in any way he could. Since then his skills have improved greatly under many of the stronger mages tutelage. Eventually he hopes to be skilled enough to become one of the Masters of the guild underneath Damion.

Name: Chancy Bel
Nicknames: Chance, Star
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
Faction: Radiant Dawn
Weapon/M.U.S.E: Chancy is a bit of a traditionalist at heart, so naturally, her muse is a broom. It is embued with the ability to manipulate the winds around her - which she usually uses to fly. Tied to her broom with superior knot-work is her second muse, a charm which is shaped like the moon. She has other ordinary charms with it to maintain the appearance of being merely cosmetic. Said moon charm allows her to become invisible, an ability she uses sparingly so as to catch her enemies - and fellow students - off guard at the most opprotune of times.
Abilities/Skills: Chancy is a talented, up and coming wind magician. She is also surprisingly graceful and nimble in movement, allowing her to move quickly and fluidly to wherever she needs to go. Her magical abilities leave her best suited for scouting or spying type endeavors.
Weaknesses: Miss Bel has a weaker constitution than she lets on, and since she has no real battle skill - magical or otherwise, she is a very poor choice for combat situations. On a more personal note, she can be quite stubborn and prideful, often at the cost of everything else.
Bio: Chancy is one of the many skilled apprentices serving under the tutelage of the Radiant Dawn. She works hard and takes pride in her accomplishments, but unfortunately for her, she is often handled with 'kiddie gloves' by her peers due to her naturally weak constitution. Feeling that she has something to prove to the world, she rushes at every opprotunity to show her worth - only to end up in some form of trouble due to her impatience and recklessness.
Crush: PFFT, NO.
Other: Chancy is rather sensitive about her physical endowments, or lack thereof to be more accurate. She feels that her baby face and lack of curves add to the child's treatment she already gets from people.

Name: Natas Damion Roll
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Faction: Radiant Dawn
Weapon/M.U.S.E:Uses a one- handed heavy sword and a dagger for closer range, he has two M.U.S.E.s that are attached as gauntlets, one fire and the other lighting.
Abilities/Skills: With his M.U.S.E.s Natas can absorb heat and expel it as a blast of flames(yes one spell where the absorbing of heat causes an almost ice like affect. i.e freezing) With his Lighting M.U.S.E. he can generate strong electrical shocks which can be channeled through either weapon.
Weaknesses: Cute girls, and the rain.
Bio: Natas was born to a military family, he was the only child in his family which meant he was to carry on the military right of his family. Natas didn't like this, fact being he wanted nothing to do with the military and would rather be in the mage guild. His father died when he was 15 as a war causality leaving Natas his gauntlets, his mother ended up grieving her self to an early grave and left him with a strange necklace. Natas grew up causing trouble after his parents death. Before finally enlisting into the Mage academy and being assigned to Radiant dawn. Not much is known about him since he's still new.

Name: Circe Briarheart
Nickname: Bandit Queen, Man Eater, Heart Stealer, That Damned Mage, Cold-Hearted b***h
Age: 33
Gender: Female
Faction: Bandit Guild
Weapon/M.U.S.E: The Obsidian Staff is Circe's primary weapon, whether it be for hand to hand combat or the magic that lays dormant within. It holds the ability to manipulate ice magic. Otherwise, if unable or unwilling to use her beloved staff, Circe has a habit of keeping at least two blades on her person at all times - usually a sword and a dagger. If she feels that her magic isn't up to the challenge, she might opt to bring a crossbow instead of the Obsidian Staff.
Abilities/Skills: Circe is an ice mage of great skill, a fact that brings her no small amount of pride and satisfaction. However, she realizes that magic isn't the answer to everything - so she has made absolutely sure to keep her body fit and her fighting skills strong. As will be detailed below, despite her skill, she is no warrior. If matters can be settled with magic, persuasion, or poison - she will opt for one or more of the previously mentioned three methods instead. After all, she is a mage and a leader - not some brutish thug.
Weaknesses: Circe is no warrior, and does not have the same pain tolerance or physical strength of your typical knight. If one were to outmaneuver her or breach her defences, she would be an easy target. So, naturally, she often opts to keep several bulky minion meat shields with her at all times - and if she can avoid hand to hand combat whenever possible, she will do so.
Bio: Circe is a deviously clever woman who has somehow managed to form and maintain control of an organized group of cutthroats and villains from all across the lands. Not much is known about her otherwise, other than the fact that she is a powerful mage and not to be trusted.
Crush: The Heart of Her Enemies, for that's all they're for. Otherwise, as of now Circe has no time nor interest for love.
Other: Circe has quite a fascination for history, lore, and politics. Also, a strong love for irony - especially when it comes to vengeance.

Name: Jin Fey
Nickname: Monkey Boy, The Monkey
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Faction: Bandit Guild
Weapon/M.U.S.E: No weapons per se, but he does have a pair of gloves that are his M.U.S.Es. One glove allows him to turn invisible, while the other lets him make up to five duplicates of himself for a distraction.
Abilities/Skills: Acrobatic, skilled in the martial arts, and quick on his feet.
Weaknesses: Jin rarely takes things seriously and would much rather skate through life having a good time. He hates having responsibility and is more likely to turn tail and run when he doesn't think he can get out of a given situation with words or punches alone.
Bio: Jin was always something of a street rat, growing up poor and turning to thievery to survive. Your typical Aladdin backstory really. While a simple thief may not normally get his hands on a M.U.S.E, he plucked his off a guard that attempted to catch him. As he grew up and managed to get away with more thefts with less trouble, the Bandit Guild welcomed him into the fold, an offer he greatly accepted if only for the warm bed he was given.
Crush: The only lady he really knows is Circe, and she scares him more than anything.
Other: Jin loves food and tends to go a little klepto when he sees anything valuable and shiny.

Nickname:The Alchemic Pyro

Faction: Bandit Guild.
Weapon/M.U.S.E:He has two gloves that are both MUSEs and he has vials of highly explosive liquids.
Abilities/Skills: His gloves are your basic fire type MUSE. One speeds up the molecules in the air to make fire and the other one heats things up. But what makes him even more dangerous is his vials he carries with him at all times and that they contain very condensed and unstable oils that make a giant explosion when heated.
Weaknesses:He doesn't have unlimited vials. He can only hold 7 at a time and once they are gone then so are his big attacks until he makes more.
Bio:Tyler was always fascinated with the science behind magic and he eventually dived into learning the alchemy part of it. When he was five he made a bomb that took out his entire village and soon after he was on the run from the knights. But he found out how to survive and has been doing it sense. Three years ago he met the Bandit Queen and decided to join up with her to gain the ability and resources to make even more powerful things and that's where he learned to make his vials of unstable oils.

Nickname: Avi, Chuckles, "You damn thief!"
Age: 20

Faction: Bandit Guild
Weapon/M.U.S.E: Avi carries around her trusty sword and a ring. Both are M.U.S.E's named Eclipse and Archon respectively.
Abilities/Skills: Avi is a skilled swordsman, better than most who have received "proper" training. She is nimble and acrobatic. She is somewhat skilled in hand-to-hand combat, but she feels much better with a sword in her hand. What she lacks in raw strength she makes up for with agility, reflexes, and quick improvisation. Eclipse allows her to cloak her self for short periods of time, while her ring Archon contains a very powerful and destructive lightning spell.
Weaknesses: She lacks raw strength and has a lower pain tolerance than your average combatant. If she were to ever be pinned down, outmaneuvered, or overpowered then that's it for her.
Bio: Avice is very practical, not allowing much room for attachment or emotions. That said, she's a shameless flirt and enjoys the "company" of both men and women alike. And while she does not allow herself to get attached, she loves to have a drink and share a laugh with her fellow bandits. Better to be on good terms with the people she works with, and she's had enough of being alone from her days as a street urchin. Growing up as an orphan on the street she has learned to fend for herself.
Crush: None as of right now. She won't allow herself to become emotionally attached to someone else.
Other: Avice enjoys learning new things and making money. Ever since she's joined with the bandits she's been living a relatively "comfortable" life compared to her orphan days. Growing up poor, hungry, and homeless has given Avi a greater appreciation for the smaller things in life. Things like regular meals, decent shelter, or even a heist well done. Initially developed as a survival mechanism, she tends to get an addictive 'high' from stealing. As a result, she's never quite managed to drop the habit.

Abilities/Skills: Thievery: Leon's talents all revolve around stealing from his surroundings for his benefit. Whether it be mundane or arcane in nature, Leon is almost always capable of taking something from it to aid him, power, gold, even the enemy's attacks aren't safe from his thieving grasp. That being said, Leon is also adept in stealth, capable of sneaking through an entire castle to reach his mark.
Weaknesses: Treasures, Pretty Ladies, SHINY THINGS!
Bio: Leon takes great pains not to divulge his personal history and when asked he often fabricates absurd stories. The only truth he tells about himself is that at a young age he started stealing to survive, offering his services as a Thief or Covert Operative to the one willing to pay the most for his services.

ARC 1

The Man with The Legendary Sword

Damion was sitting in the balcony in the guild hall, looking down on all the members as they talked, drank, studied, ate, slept, and even fought. Seeing all of them always put a smile on his face, for he loved them all as if they were his own. To him they were family and he would do anything to keep it that way. Then he looked back to his book that he always carried on him no matter what and his smile faded. "I guess things are going to get a little crazy huh?" He asked as if someone was next to him but he was all alone up there.

On the outskirts of the Sun Kingdom in a town known as Tian a young man walked up the street. As he did so the people of the town began to look at him and he seemed to them he seemed to be a mage. On his back was something which seemed like a sword but it was wrapped in cloth and on his wrist was a chain bracelet that glimmered white every once in a while.

Levi yawned as he continued down the street and he noticed people staring at him. "Gosh you'd think they have never seen a mage before." He said to himself under his breath so no one would hear. "But I guess with the rise of the dark guilds lately and the other kingdoms looking for relics I guess it can't be helped." He said and then his stomach began to growl. "Well I guess I best look for some food I am really hungry." He said as he looked around and soon his eyes took notice of a bar. "I am sure they serve food. I guess it don't hurt to ask." He said and then began to walk towards it.
