[PRP] Snow and Spookies! (Camilla and Mayaa)

One warm October day Camilla was busy baking spookies! Suddenly while she was mixing the ingredients together to make the dough for her second batch of spookies she hears a bird mini twittering happily outside the open kitchen window pausing in her work the Dormouse ghoul smiles then lets out a happy sigh "Ah... It's finally starting to warm up..." she says softly in a cheerful tone as warm breeze floats through the window she stops for just a moment longer to enjoy the warmth before returning to her mixing

After a moment or two as the dough starts to form Camilla lets out a light laugh she had been watching everything come together when a memory drifted into her head one about a time last year when things were still cold and she needed rescuing from a friend

(Cue Flashback!)

It was cold... And Camilla didn't like it! Being a Dormouse monster her age and going to school could really be hard sometimes! The cold forced her to either sleep through classes or miss them all together and taking part in any winter activities was impossible! Whats worse is it was almost... what was the holiday called? Ah yes! Christmas! Or well Halloween's equivalent to it creatures of all shapes and sizes were busy getting ready and a festive air seemed to fill the campus unfortunately... Camilla was having to miss out on all of it! It wasn't fair! She could stay up now but she'd still get so sleepy from the cold that she couldn't really enjoy anything!

Because of this the Dormouse ghoul was a tad bit grumpy for the past week a pout or puffed up cheeks had been Camilla's staple expression and she only got a bit fussier every time she clicked onto some holiday movie or was subjected to the endless amounts of Christmas music on the radio knowing that she was missing out on all of it... She was not a happy Dormouse by any means... Finally it was only a few days before Christmas when Camilla decided she couldn't just give up! She could have fun on Christmas! She would just throw her own party in her dormroom for her and her minis!

But to do that it meant one dreaded thing... She'd have to go out in the snow...

I think I'll let you get in a post before Camilla actually goes out into the snow I set the flashback to right before Christmas I hope thats ok!

Preparations to go out into the snow took the Dormouse ghoul a while... She had to put layer after layer on until she looked more like a Eskimouse then a Dormouse all the layers also made it hard to move and it took a while to get the bag she'd be carrying everything in on

Finally however she was ready! After taking a breath she opens the door of her nice warm dormroom and steps out closing it quickly behind her so to keep the warm in and while the hallway wasn't freezing it was still colder then she'd like however her real challenge was going out into the snow... It took her much longer then it normally would just to get to the doors because she wasn't used to the many layers of cloth and... shoes... eventually she makes it though and lingers at the door for a moment... did she really want to go out in that? They were in one of the coldest october months of the year... after looking around for a moment she finally nods as she sees all the spooky merry decorations that were put up she was not going to miss out on things just because of the cold!

With a resolute expression she opens the door and steps out! Instantly the cold humid air hits her and starts sinking through her cloths fortunately she had enough layers on that she was still nice and warm even after treking halfway to the school gate as she headed on her way she mentally kept telling herself to only get what she needed and to get back

...Unfortunately...

Anybody who knew the excitable often hyper Dormouse Ghoul and had gone on a shopping trip with her would know that only getting exactly what she needed and only spending as much time as necessary wasn't something Camilla normally did when shopping and even the threat of falling asleep then freezing to figurative death couldn't keep her from Ooing and Aweing at all the Christmas stuff the maul had out... Needless to say when she finally finished most of the layers she wore were soaked from the snow and not only was the bag she brought full (And it was enchanted with a storage spell too!) but she had several stuffed bags on her arms...

Camilla had decided why not do her monthly supply run AND her Christmas shopping together? She was already out right? So it would work perfectly! ...Only it didn't... It was midday not long after noon when the cold mostly asleep Dormouse ghoul entered the school gates and spotted a familiar rock... Last time she had gotten stuck in the snow it was because she had seen a nice warm flat rock and fell asleep on it... And it was that same rock she was now looking at sleepily "=A = Waaaarmmmm~" she mumbles sleepily as she starts heading for the rock...

Had her head not been so fogged with sleep she would have avoided that rock like the plague but unfortunately it was and all she thought about was curling up on the nice warm rock and basking in the midday pumpkin sun... Bags were dropped and before long a purple and seafoam green mass of cloth was curled up on the rock snoring lightly...

Camilla is now oblivious to the world! Have fun waking her Mayaa! : D

Camilla was completely oblivious to the frolicking Harpy nearby even all the noise the ghoul was making didn't bother the Dormouse ghoul at all she just continued to sleep on the warm rock peacefully what did bother her though was when the curious ghoul came over and tugged on her thinking her a pile of cloths but the only response it would garner from the sleeping mouse would be a sleepy tap of her tail on the rock and her curling up tighter

The Poking, nudging, and yelling however garnered more of a response not much more though... "Mmm..." she mumbles unhappily in a sleepy tone then curls up tighter while her tail tapped and twitched a bit that being the biggest response gotten though one might be hard pressed to say it was a tail due to the fact that a sock like cloth covered the furry appendage keeping it extra warm

Fortunately despite the tiny response a small trickle of consciousness was starting to surface within the sleeping Dormouse ghoul and if Mayaa played her cards right Camilla would be awake in no time! ...Maybe...

Despite being deep asleep the Harpy ghoul's yell was definitely enough! Camilla jumps and her eyes snap open then with eyes wide she shoots up into a sitting position while looking around wildly "oAo?! Who what where when how!?!" she says quickly while still looking around wildly her newly formed that year predator instincts plus the adrenaline that now coursed through her had every hair standing on end while her heart beat like crazy

Finally after a minute or so when her heart stopped trying to beat out of her chest she puts a hand to her chest and sighs before looks at the offending yeller "M-Mayaa???" she says in confusion for a long moment she just blinked owlishly at the Harpy ghoul until the adrenaline started to wear off as it does her eyes start to lid as sleep starts to fog her head up once more...

To some it might have been obvious why she was yelled at but to Camilla who went from deep sleep to full wakefulness then back to half asleepness in meer minutes it hadn't yet clicked... "What... was... all the... yelling... for...?" she asks in a drowsy tone

Well! You got her awake! But you better hurry and get her inside before she falls asleep again and has to be carried in!

"Sleeeeping......?" she says drowsily the word was drawn out and spoken slowly while tinted with confusion she had been sleeping? wait... After a moment of drowsy confused blinking her mind came together enough to really proccess Mayaa's words the shaking also helped to wake her up and clear her thoughts a bit

Finally Camilla looks around at the still warm rock she was sitting on at the bags stuffed full scattered around the rock and finally a Mayaa with a pout before letting out a drowsy almost squeaky whine "Awwwwww.... I knewww..... this would.... happppeeennn!" she whines sleepily before forcing her cold tired self to start moving "I... need... to get... back to..... my... dorm... and... warm... up!" she said as urgently as she could though the slow speech and drowsy tone reduced the sound of it's importance a bit

Slowly the normally hyper excitable Dormouse ghoul gets up and starts grabbing her bags moving at a pace more akin to a sloth then to a Dormouse she didn't expect Mayaa to help her the Harpy ghoul had done enough just by waking her up but deep down Camilla was hoping she would because the chances of her getting back to her dorm by herself in this state were slim at best...

It took the sleepy Dormouse ghoul's mind a while to actually comprehend just what Mayaa said and by that time the Harpy ghoul had already shifted her arms into wings! It became clear well... kinda clear to Camilla what Mayaa was up to when she felt one Talon dig into her coat and the other snatch her bags up! She was about to thank her when they both ended up flopping in the snow! When the Harpy ghoul actually gets them airborne it takes Camilla a few seconds to get her head together before she can look up at Mayaa and give a drowsy smile "Thanks... For... The help...!" she says sleepily before watching the ground float by in a haze...

When the pare finally reach the Monster Dorms Camilla reclaims her bags and upon being released shuffles as quickly as possibly into the common room! Once inside she lets out a deep happy sigh as she feels the warmth of the fire sink right into her rather wet clothes! Eventually her mind prompts her to move and she soon finds herself with her bags piled around her toasting her hands infront of the fire... "Ahhhhh...." she says dreamily as her tail begins to sway a bit... for a long moment she actually forgot Mayaa was there... She was too busy soaking in the warmth and trying to get her head to clear...

Ahhhhh warm~* Lol Mayaa saved the day with hovering harpy power! XD

Hm... A Humming Bird Harpy is a interesting idea...

As the snow induced fog in her head finally cleared up Camilla remembers her savior and turns to smile warmly at the Harpy ghoul! "Thanks Mayaa!" she chirps happily before turning back to the fire as a slightly more serious expression crosses her face...

"You really saved me out there..." she says seriously yet gently then pauses a moment "At... My age Dormouse Monsters are very prone to the cold... We have to hibernate as scarelings when it gets cold but when we reach scareenhood(Teenhood) we can stay up... Though barely..." she says with first a frown then a pout... "It's effected by temperature and pretty much nothing else... I got careless letting myself fall asleep on that rock... again..." she says solemnly before whispering the last bit... She was upset with herself for falling asleep on that rock again! Bartholomew saved her the first time and Mayaa shouldn't have had to save her a second time...

Still Mayaa had and now as a musing expression crosses her face Camilla tried to think of how she could repay the Harpy ghoul...

Camilla can be pretty hard on herself sometimes especially about something like this!

For a long moment she was silent as she stares at the flames... she tried to think how she could repay Mayaa but wasn't having much luck... Scaremas was coming up... She could buy Mayaa something... Or hm... Well Mayaa liked food! Maybe she could make her something! Hm... No that was so temporary... Finally Camilla was drawn from her musing thoughts by the Harpy ghoul's voice

"Hm? Oh! Yes I'm fine... Just thinking!" she assures her before finishing in a semi cheerful tone the smile that had formed fades however to a contemplative frown as she looks away again... No good deed should go unthanked for was one of Camilla's mottos but what was the right thanks... As she mused her eyes would eventually drift to her bags of scaremus stuff... For a long moment she just stared at it as she had the flames until a slight lull in her thoughts allowed her to register what she was seeing!

'Wait! The Scaremus stuff! Did I ever teach Mayaa to make spookies?!' she thinks quickly before searching her memory and drawing a blank! That was it! She'd teach Mayaa how to make Holiday Spookies! A sudden excited smile crosses the Dormouse ghoul's face before she turns back to the Harpy ghoul! "Hey Mayaa! As thanks for saving me would you like me to teach you how to make Holiday Spookies?" she asks excitedly as her sock covered tail begins to sway happily

Hopefully Mayaa won't burn down her kitchen hah hah... hah...
