Yuki_Windira Queen Spazzy *sings the bumblebee song*
I know I was, indeed, that weird as a child.
Of course, I'm still a weird child despite being legally an adult. cat_razz What was your bumble song? :3
It was a song I learned in preschool.
Went something like "I caught myself a baby bumblebee, won't my mommy be so proud of me, I caught myself a baby bumblebee, ouch! It stung me!"
And it went from there to squishing up the bumblebee, then licking up the bumblebee, then puking up the bumblebee, and finally cleaning up the bumblebee.
It had motions with it, too, like the wheels on the bus song.
I loved singing that song when I was little, but it's a really weird song now that I think about it again. >>;
Though I suppose it's not quite as annoying as the bazooka bubblegum or beaver songs I learned at girl scout camp.
My troop was banned from singing the beaver song at one point because we got on our leaders' nerves so much. >>;
Unfortunately for me, the main leader was my mom. cat_xd |

The version we sing for the kids is "I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,won't my mama be so proud of me.I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee...bzzzzz -wiggles the bee puppet around kids to make them giggle-" The version you know is on a song cd we have.o.o

I can hardly believe you guys actually wanna know the beaver song. cat_xd
I think it was exclusive to my girl scout camp in NC because I've never known anyone else to know it.
Between lines there were motions to go with it and you were supposed to make a clicking sound to sound like a beaver while you did them.
Anyway, went like this.
"Beaver one, beaver one, let's all have some beaver fun! [I can't remember the motion here, so we either just clicked or made a general wiggling motion I'm guessing]
Beaver two, beaver three, let's all climb the beaver tree! [the motion here was supposed to be like climbing]
Beaver four, beaver five, let's all do the beaver dive! [a diving motion]
Beaver six, beaver seven, let's all go to beaver heaven! [like the dive motion except ascending]
Beaver eight, beaver nine, stop! It's beaver time! [this one was turning in place while moving our arms similar to the climbing motion, like a dance]
Beaver ten, beaver ten, let's all sing the song again!"
And it could go on endlessly like the song that never ends.
The 'motion' for the last line was either to sing the song again, or the leaders would yell "Stop!" at us.
So the fact that we got banned from singing it can probably tell you how long we would keep going/how often we sang it. >>; |
