If there was one thing Willow loved it was animals! Everyday she spent taking care of the forest critters. There was much to do! She had to help the bunnies with their new litter of children, assist a sick deer, and tend to the injured bear by the giant oak tree. Her day was packed with activities. However, not all of them were for the animals of the forest she loved so much. No. One event in particular was just for Willow, and she was nervous.
She had met a male pixie named Whimsical a month or so ago and he had stopped by here and there when he could. He was... a very odd fox. Oh, that wasn't to say she didn't enjoy his company! She actually loved his comapny – even if he was a bit flirty! He was just the first modifox she had ever met. Willow had been raised in this forest by the other animals, and not a single modifox had helped. She honestly couldn't help how fast her heart hammered whenever he stopped by, or how red she turned when he sent a sweet compliment her way. It also didn't help he was really sweet, either! All of this combined just left her in a tizzy!
The day passed without a hitch. Willow was, as always, a mess by the time the sun had begun its descent. All that work often left her fur a bit wild and hair a tad muddy, but a dip in the river would fix that. She just needed to get there before Whimsical dropped by.... She would be absolutely horrified if he saw her in this state. Luckily for her, the river was just a few minutes from her little den. Picking herself off the ground, the little pixie began to head over to the river, tail wagging absently behind her.

She heard his voice, ears flicking up in greeting. Wagging her tail, the small vixen padded through the underbrush before appearing in sight, nodding towards the male.
"I am." Her gentle voice raised barely above a whisper as she settled on her haunches and offered a delicate smile. "You came," She noted, tone holding a soft surprise to it. Suddenly, she remembered something very important; her fur was a mess and so was her hair! Flushing, the pixie's wings buzzed as she looked down, paws crossing together.
"Oh, I- I was on my way to wash up, I'm sorry for looking this way."
