Opted Out Exams
xxAstronomy:
Wendy never had much interest or use for astronomy and only her mediocre study habits in this exam showed only giving her an A in her exam.
xxDefense Against the Dark Arts:
Wendy did quite well on the Defense Against the Dark Arts exam until it came to the boggart. While she was eventually able to dispel it's presence with a small chuckle, she not being the type quick to humor struggled to find something humorous enough to actually produce more than a mere small smile. As a result she received an E instead of an O on this exam.
xxHerbology:
Due to Wendy's interests in potions, herbology, or at least the concept of herbology came quite easy to her. However she never had a natural green thumb. She did quite excellent on the exam but hardly did an outstanding job like some of her more talented peers had.
xxHistory Of Magic:
Wendy only had a passing interest in history of magic and while the subject related to old pureblood families had been drilled into her, her skewed view of issues such as Voldemort hurt her as did her lack of investment in studying much for what she saw as a useless exam.
xxAlchemy:
While Wendy has always been a talented alchemist her more material ambitions always held her back from being a true master of this art. As a result she got a solid E in this exam.
xxMuggle Music:
Wendy struggled with more current muggle music knowledge but her knowledge of the more historical and classical artists and composers (including muggle) earned her an E instead of a lower grade in this class.
xxMuggle Studies:
Wendy scraped by in this class due to her cousin's Cathaline's notes, though it was a struggle to say the least growing up in a very old pureblood home and family. Her determination not to fail any course is what guaranteed her as high as she did in this course.
xxMusic:
Though, Wendy had been trained in both the harp and viola from an early age and supposedly was the daughter of a borderline music prodigy (not that Wendy actually could confirm or deny this about her mother), she had spent most of her fifth year focusing on studying for other exams which cut into her usual musical practice which was now restricted to her time in the music club which was far from her first priority. Her neglect to study for this exam caused her to receive an E instead of the O one might have expected from her.
