With no enemies in sight, Crimson wondered if the haunted house was really just fake. A spooky story. It was however, like magic of a sort. Being so lacking in an enemies that a strong one might appear. Crimson bit back the irony threatening to bubble up in their throat. What a day.
What a glorious day.
If not to see the blood of an enemy?
Then at least they would get to see their own blood. Something that never ceased to delight and utterly captivate the reaper.
Red rolling down ashen skin, soaking cloth and past leather. Filling shoes and gloves in quickly cooling pools that would begin to coagulate, harden and darken. Blood was so wonderful and today? Today they would see so much of it, they were certain! Subjects of unknown origin were abound here the reaper had been told, and gathering samples would be a pinch! Provided of course, that Crimson survived the encounters, something that their familiar doubted.
The buck had seen his fair share of Crimson's fight from childhood until that moment and was fully expecting the reaper to get their a** handed to them as the saying went.

As far as the reaper could tell, this part of the house had long fallen into a state of disuse, walls crumbling,. mists swirling around their feet and an eerie sense of something tickling the back of their spine. Unnerving, is what their master might say. 'Boring' is what they could imagine their familiar would be saying- if they ever chose to give the immortal and ever bleeding fallow buck a chance to speak at all. Unnamed, unable to speak. Crimson was contracted yet just hadn't found the fight name for their companion, steward, and keeper.
Yet said steward was more than hoping their ward would tire of this place and go. They had no reason to linger here none-
And yet as soon as the thoughts were directed at his reaper, the buck was shocked for find the mage sent flying into a wall by a thing that was most certainly not friendly.
"Ow." Grunting as they got up, Crimson smile, noting that their arm was now blooding. It was such a lovely shade in this drab light. A bright smile filled Crimson's features, a fire glowing in their black and red eyes, pupils dialating as they watched droplets of their own life force trickle down and gather in the fabric of their previously pristine white and black cloak.
"Beautiful. Simply Beautiful." Turning to face the large beast, the reaper, flung a few drops at it their grin widening as it hissed, burning away a small portion of fear. How curious, their blood didn't do that very often. This warranted further study!

By now, Gabby had begun actively hunting for the strange foglike spots in the haunted house. This was quickly becoming one of his favorite games, and he would go home today with stories of how he'd jumped into portals and utterly destroyed evil monsters that were lurking in them. Efflo would be swooning by the time he was done, he was sure of it. The one thing he was adamant about was retaining souvenirs, and a few of his battles had left him with nothing but a gooey mess to speak of it. When he jumped into the fog to find another bat monster, just like the first one he'd fought on his own, he turned completely to ice and summoned his Fear around him very carefully. This time, he wanted it to be a targetted attack. He charged at it with a vicious, echoing roar, and slammed his head into the stomach of the bat monster. It exploded on contact, leaving him to stumble forward until he caught himself. Had it all been too much? Would he leave with no token, no trophy?! Was he just too good at this?! One thing was for sure, he was not too humble for it. Quote: HP: 45 Damage: wtf Boss HP: ded

The reaper had taken just one second. A single second to look at their still bleeding wound.
Yet as they looked up, The bat weilding thing they had been fighting was just up and gone. Had the sight of blood driven them away? Was it their blood being odd in reaction that had killed it? The blood mage was at a loss. Big hulking beasts did not simply vanish into thin air! "........." Looking to their bleeding buck, the deer was not paying much attention and obviously going to be of no aid. It was CRIMSON who'd wanted to come here, not his.
Looking at what he guessed was another student, the blood mage just wandered further down the halls, wondering where their specimen had run off to. It just couldn't have vanished. It was utterly confusing, and- no. The student couldn't possibly have chased of a creature of that size all by themselves. It was not possible. As such, Crimson kept looking for their mysteriously vanished target.

Was that -
Did the student he'd basically just saved run off without a single word?
Gabby tried not to look shunned, but let's face it. He was a little shunned.
Still, when he checked the body he found that there was at least one token left to take back with him, and he cheered up immensely. He was going to exaggerate the story of these fights so much when he got home to Efflo..
