Local Book Store owner was thinking opening up his shop in a city where he don't know anyone was a bad thing still he heard the sounds of something moving in the back ally and opened it to see a lose dog with no home for it. now he is trying to bed friend a dog that may think he is a threat like the other humans inside of this city to starry dogs

Annabelle, a purebred Border Collie, who had recently ran away from her abusive home, was rummaging through Johnny's trash in the back of the store, looking for food. She was still a puppy, around 6 months old. Though there was a problem. She didn't trust humans because of her last owner. She was blind in her left eye due to a cataract in that eye from the abuse. It could be removed but her last owner didn't care at all to do so. So for now, she'd be blind in her left eye. Sometiems though she ran into things that were in front of her left eye, which was a problem whenever she needed to cross a road. She couldn't see to her left and as a result, she's almost gotten hit a few times. To her the world around her was scary and she wasn't too fond of it.

Johnny step outside of his store. looking around to see a dog that look lost and he walked back inside grabbing some food from the top floor of the store and putting it down onto the ground. looking at her with a smile. " hay...you look like need something to eat?" he asked her with a smile. not knowing the background with the this dog. deep down he felt like something was wrong with this dog

Annabelle started growling as Johnny came close to her with the food and looked at her. She backed up from him, since she didn't trust humans. She wasn't too fond of them because she'd been abused her entire life. She wasn't about to trust anyone since she thought all humans of any kind were the same.

Johnny grab the food off the ground and walked over to Annabelle. he looked down at her before kneeing down. smiling at her "someone must had hurt you bad to act like this around another living thing. we are all children of god. no matter if you walk on all fours or on two..." he held out the food to her. it was a piece of cook pork " For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity....bite me if you want. I show you mercy " he reaching his hand out to her in a open palm with the meat sitting in the middle of his hand

Annabelle growled at johnny. That is, until he spoke. She listened before she cautiously came up to him, sniffed his hand, and ate the meat that was in his hand with her ears back and tail tucked against her stomach in fear. Poor thing was shaking as the rain from the night before had soaked her long fur and the cold air wasn't helping.

Johnnu looked at her again and stood up walking over to the door of his shop and stand at the side wanting her to go inside to get warm up by the heater inside of his shop " come inside. it will be fine" he said feeling bad for that dog. he keep thinking to why would anyone do this to a dog like her

Annabelle cautiously went up to the door, unsure if she should go inside. Though she was cold, she didn't know if he'd actually help her, or abuse her like her last owner, or even start out nice and then start treating her badly. She whimpered a bit as she went inside, slowly before she hid behind the couch where there was a vent with heat coming out. She laid down on it too scared to do much else.

Johnny close the door and walked around to find a bowl and pour some water into it and setting it down onto the ground in front of where she is hiding at. he keep thinking about what could had made this dog not wanting to be around humans. he sat down. waiting for people too come into and buy books. so far it been a slow day

Annabelle came out of hiding after she took a small nap. She drank the water before she cautiously started looking around the shop but stayed close to the couch and a few other spaces she was able to fit into, just in case someone tried to go near her. She even attracted some customers who wanted to meet her but she wouldn't go near them. They did buy stuff they liked though after they noticed that things were slow for Johnny. Annabelle kept her tail tucked against her stomach tightly. Currently she was sniffing some stuff behind the counter but was ready to run if she needed to. Sure it was warm in the shop, but she didn't know what to do around humans.

Johnny grab one of the books and looked inside of it to find what breed of dog Anabelle was and looked to see what's wrong with her. he then put away and knee down holding out his hand to her " everything will be fine" he was waiting on a few rare books to be drop off at the shop " lucky they pay. if not getting those books here are pain in the neck" he sighed at how many nights he taking him to find them

Annabelle started shaking a bit as Johnny knelt down and reached out to her. She then sniffed at his hand from a distance but didn't go near him. She then went behind another couch before she laid down underneath it and curled up in a tight ball. Poor thing was so scared that she wasn't willing to even go near a human of any kind. She then watched Johnny for a while before she fell asleep from the warmth of the building.

it was around closing time and the last person was getting a book. he thought it was odd. how the person was looking and moving around timid . he sighed to himself and got a bad feeling " my hair is standing on the back of my neck" he said in a low voice before seeing the person is getting a book on the paranormal and never looked him in the eyes "hi...yeah never read them. hope it's to your liking" he felt to creepy out as the person walked out and only to look back at him. sending a chill down his spine .after that was over. he started to close up " okay...why is so cold in here. also she look like someone...can't be"

Annabelle eventually came out after the customer left the shop. She then started looking around, having taken a nap for a bit. She stayed cautious not wanting to be taken by surprise or anything. She then found Johnny before she cautiously went up to him, shaking before she sniffed at his pant leg.

Johnny knee down and pet her head. he smiled at her petting her ears' what's wrong girl." he said and then opened the door leading to the upper part of the building to his home " care to come or go outside to use the bathroom?" he asked unsure if she is willing to come back if he let her out
