This is Halvar Eerikki Loki. He will remain a foal for a while to help facilitate this herd thing! FOALS UNITE

Ok here's the deal! Zee and I decided that our little crackship bundles of joy are going to raise themselves in a sort of lost boys-esque scenario without a peter pan. Basically a little foal community where there is no one in charge. We would LOVE if other crackships or abandoned/lost foals would come join us!

Work in progress!

Ideas from Lat!

Well largely we'll assume they're gatherer types for a second. So they can graze and likely live off of wild fruits etc. BUT they could also:
*Steal rations from the settlement (oats, hay, veggies, medicinal elements)
*Steal from solitary healer types (medicinal)
*Steal trinkets/decorative elements to adorn basecamp, create a sort of totem for the herd, create "warnings" (danger here?) type signs to hopefully drive others away from their territory
*Steal or gather horns from dead prey animals (or even sea shells) to blow through and make scary noises to drive off larger prey (bluff tactic)

So if you have some hunter types in the herd:
*Stealing kills from other predatory Soqs (too young/inexperienced to hunt successfully)
*Possibly having the herd organize a distraction to raid a Kalona/Skinwalker's "stores" of prey?

Ideas from Mind!

This could be a good place for Foals that have gotten lost or abandoned can find a home.. And since foals are only foals for about three years canonly, its possible they might have two 'camps' within their group -- The lost boys and the "Tinks": A variation/their term for 'teen-like' and older members of the herd that act as guardians but also tend to separate themselves from the other group a bit since they are more prone to roaming since they "get more controlled by emotions or desires" much like how fairies from the original book can only really feel one emotion at a time.

Those who are growing up and feeling curious about the opposite/same/any sex/feeling desires they didnt when they were a kid, might get overwhelmed by them without someone to teach them how to control or temper them. Anger, sadness, fear is all much more devistating if you were never taught how control them either, so "Tinks", with their now much more chaotic biology and physical changes, are more consumed by what they are feeling. So they'd be pretty prone of forgetting about the kids more often and letting them run loose, but still would be welcomed and help out. The Tinks could hang out "At the hallow" when not helping out, and would certainly be able to help out with raids against the 'pirates' of the outside world.

This keeps this from having the issue of the book where lost boys grew up.... And then were either killed by Peter or escaped and became pirates. Instead, "Tinks" Act like the fairies that found peter, and might even be a source of new members -- as adults they might find themselves more interested in taking baskets or foals they think are abandoned and bringing them back to keep the Lost Foals Company. Plus, since they're not really interested in RAISING kids, and "They turned out just fine", they'd just let their own kids run loose as part of the Lost foals and mostly fend for themselves.

That could keep the herd alive without depending fully on new Crackships, and allow for it to survive after the foals grow up since the Tinks would follow the tradition of how they grew up.

Name comes from the word "Tink Agers" -- likely coming from one of the foals that originally spent time with some adults before joining the lost foals, overhearing the term "teenager" for young adults.

Say hello to Frey Herlief Loki! He'll also remain a foal for awhile!

Basically, after the spirits create their crackship baskets, they get bored, and some just dump their baskets off in a hidden valley in the foothills of the mountains. Soon, a bunch of foals emerge, and, without any adult guidance, try to make sense of this new and fascinating world.

Maybe they will remain a herd once they're fully grown, or perhaps they'll separate to find their own path. Time will tell, but for now, the little valley is their Neverland.

Some "members"
Membership in the herd is very casual. Members come and go as they please.

Had a thought:

While this little herd doesn't have a Peter Pan, if someone wanted to custom in one, that'd be pretty darn cool! Maybe even an Angeni of Childhood?

(Now that I type that, I kind of want to quest for one! XD How cool would an Angeni who could revert to foal form be? And what if they could revert other Soq to foalhood?)

Oh my gosh I am all about a Lost Boys type herd. >.> Peter Pan is my JAM. No crackship yet, he/she is coming... But until then, BEHOLD MY THOUGHTS:

So ummm.. yeah?

I don't have any crack ship baskets, but....

Can my absent-minded Ellie come by and stay a while? She tends to be drifting in and out of families and doesn't really have a set place to stay, but she'd love to help out where she could for a bit! 3nodding

Also I need her to have some sort of foalhood. emotion_kirakira

Oh! And if you need a foal to "play doctor" for a while, I can see my colt Rosario wandering off from his dad's side and come in to heal any scrapes or scratches, since he's learning how to heal (with the power of magic unicorn-ness) from his dad. Again, this would have to be a temporary thing, because eventually Rosario would have to go back to his dad. sweatdrop

Zee already said yes but I wanna also say yes XDDDD TOO CUTE. This is a very temp place I think. Foals come and go as they please, some decide never to come back, some stay forever.

I don't have a crackship, but.

I'm looking to be customing an adoptive daughter for Ozzie, and while she'll love her mum very much, she'll occasionally drift off and see about finding out about her 'real' parentage.

Maybe while wandering, she comes upon these crackship foals and finds a kinship with them? Making friends with them and so on and so forth, and when the time comes that her mum becomes cursed, she comes to ask her friends if any of them know how to 'reverse' the skinwalker curse? And maybe it turns into an adventure of trying to find this 'cure'. We know exactly what does it, but I assume that not all soquili themselves will know at first.
