Natural Ability: Bobbi can remove her face and reattach it at will. When separated by a small distance her body and face can act independently (she can carry her detached face, for example, or dangle it out a window for a better view). This process is clean and bloodless and somewhat resembles removing the faceplate from a BJD.

Personality: Although Bobbi comes across as almost hopelessly naive--a fact punctuated by her "golly gee!" vintage PSA mannerisms and Shirley Temple expressions--she is in fact much more keenly aware of what goes on around her than it seems, which can often lead to her harboring a fear of being seen as ridiculous, given that people often mock her without realizing that she is aware of it. She tries, however, to uncompromisingly be herself, even if she struggles at times with the ridicule and mockery this causes, holding a need to be true to herself above all else--a lesson instinctively born in her heart but encouraged by her mothers. Her feelings are a bit tender and easily-wounded, but she is forgiving (if not forgetful) when she needs to be. Her goody-two-shoes, suck-up-to-teacher attitude can be tiresome, but she makes up for it, or tries to, with a knack for finding wallflowers and keeping them company. She hates loneliness both in herself and others and loves gentle, chaste parties (turn on the records and let's have a sock hop!), and also enjoys sewing, especially tiny clothes for her collection of dolls.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Soon after she manifested, Bobbi was taken under the care of a couple of Stepford Wife ghosts with no scarelings of their own. After they taught her the basics of how to get around Halloween and made sure she had a safe, stable family to return to, she was enrolled in the Academy to learn her larger place in the world.

FEAR Ability: where are you?: Bobbi appears to warp and distort in space, flickering upside down and right side up and possibly flipping the way the horizon and nearby objects appear as well. This is a purely visual hallucination--nothing actually moves--but it can make targeting her very frustrating. (mechanics: The Mind)

Skin Colour: mostly dead greyish and pale, but her face is a lively pink complexion
Clothing Style/Colours: vintage 1950s, suitable for a younger teenager although she will wear nicer and older dresses for special occasions to look more her age. Always, always wears red or bright pink lipstick--what lady would be seen without it?

Much of what exists in Bobbi's dorm room came to her from her parents, who wanted her to feel comfortable in her home away from home.

To that end, in addition to the basics, she also has a small doll collection, a sewing machine, and a small stash of fabrics, as well as a record player.

She keeps her room very clean at all times, mindful, as always, of neatness and keeping up appearances.

Upside down children (more usually identified as upside down boys or upside down girls) are the ghosts of children who were, around the time of their death, more interested in assuming the identity of a person whom they intensely envied than in discovering themselves. Upside down children, prior to their deaths, tend to have no hobbies or interests of their own, instead obsessively mimicking those of more popular people around them or inventing identities that they believe will serve them better than their real personalities. They may be the victims of bullying, or they may simply be self-conscious social climbers or children desperately seeking to escape their reality.

This obsession with identity and self-image generally carries over in some way to their afterlife, although it can manifest as exactly the opposite urge--an adamant need to be oneself, even when oneself is not exactly pleasant or socially well-adapted. It can also lend itself to a talent for mimicry and impressions, and often accompanies an intense desire to be liked and have many friends.

Because of the many ways this identity conflict can contribute to the deaths of upside down children, there is no one set "route" to the afterlife for this type of ghost, although many end up the tragic victims or either bullying or depression.

Another type of upside down child is one born of a life of pretending to be someone else, who dies without ever being discovered. Bobbi was one of these--a forlorn and unhappy child who pretended to be the long-lost kidnapped daughter of a woman whose sad tale she read in the newspaper, envying what she assumed was the missing girl's superior life. The woman, quite happy to be reunited with who she fully believed was her daughter eleven years later, never did examine her story too closely, and Bobbi found herself forced into play-acting a life she had never lived, imagining interests she'd never had and pretending to enjoy food and stories she hated. It was almost a blessing, really, when she finally fell ill, and her corporeal form rests now under a headstone with someone else's name on it--and her own name, her real name, forever listed as a mysterious missing, presumed dead.

Bobbi's afterlife ended up being considerably more fortunate than her life, not that she has any frame of comparison. She was almost immediately taken in by two White Lady ghosts who had no scarelings of their own and were smitten with Bobbi's attitude and manners.


In addition to instilling her with a strong sense of self and security, her new moms--also known as the Judys--taught her how to curl her hair, use a sewing machine, and make a kickass gelatin mold. Bobbi loves her mothers dearly, and keeps a photo of them in a heart-shaped locket that she wears often, especially on exam days or other days that she needs good luck.


Despite her close relationship with her adoptive moms, Bobbi isn't so sure that domestic life is the life for her. Whether she changes her mind eventually remains to be seen.
