How a Candidate managed to get into her bed, Hestina had no idea. How she had allowed an eighteen Turn old Candidate into her bed, Hestina really didn't know. What crazed Flight impulse had sent her on this tumble absolutely escaped her. Flights. Ugh. Why did it always have to be Flights? At least her current companion seemed a little more amiable than a certain Queenrider. That never seemed to end well, and Hestina had long since given up the hope that there might be hope down that road.
No, the only thing that Elysia wanted with her was to get rid of her. Hestina rolled over. ... Or rather, tried to roll over. She found her motion stopped by an arm around her waist. Faranth help her, the memories were foggy at best, but she had a sneaking suspicion that she knew how the Flight had gone. Which only left one question.
Who was the young woman in her bed? And why did Hestina remember the girl's age but not her name? Odd. Hestina lay still, trying to think of the best way to gracefully extricate herself from this situation, especially as the weyr they were occupying was her own. Shaffit.

Hestina's movements caused the young woman to stir in her sleep... but only caused her arm to grip ever more tightly to the warmth she held. As cozy and content as she was, something . . . wasn't . . . right. The sounds of the weyr were different; she didn't hear people snoring, didn't hear snickers, and giggles, and murmured conversation; people weren't walking past her cot at all odd hours. In fact, it was the relative quiet that suddenly caused the girl to wake, because there was no way she was in the Candidate Barracks.
Her hazel eyes opened, and she realized she was staring at dark skin Her arm was not thrown around blankets, no, but a body; a woman's body. And the bed she was in was probably four times as large as her own. Where....what....
Hestina.
Kiri's brain slowly caught up with the situation, and the flight induced passion that had so gripped her the night before started to come back. It was a bit hazy; she remembered sneaking out with some of the Candidates, in part to enjoy the rain, and the other part to find a little company. While not all the Candidates had been affected by the queen's desire, Kiri had ran with it. She was a passionate woman in her own right, and had never been coy in getting what she wanted. But her fellow Candidates hadn't interested her. She hadn't wanted just some boy or girl... She wanted a man or woman.
And the impetuous creature had certainly found quite the woman, indeed.
Though her grip on Hestina loosened, she realized now that maybe she'd been a bit too forward the night previous. There was no denying that the Weyrwoman was attractive.... but how was she going to feel when she woke up to a Candidate? Well. There was only one way to find out.
"Good morning," she spoke sleepily, contentedly, if a touch lazily. She wasn't lazy, but it was early, and the bed was awfully comfortable. She loosened her arm completely from the other's waist, instead, giving a catlike stretch of her long limbs. If nothing else, it meant Hestina could escape if she felt the need to move away. Kiri wasn't embarrassed or ashamed; it had been a damn fine night.

The emptiness that threaded through Hestina's awareness made her press her lips together, squeezing her eyes shut. Shaffit, it didn't make sense to cling to an impossibility. She'd had a good time, whether or not her current companion happened to fit a certain mold. The Weyrwoman was not shy about taking lovers. No matter how her heart wanted to ache, she knew that nothing would change. Besides which, most likely it was simply her dragon's emotions getting the best of her. Sheyoth and Treth were a pair, and a more besotted pair Hestina had never before seen.
"Good morning," she repeated back to the young woman, quite aware of the rather large gap between their ages. Still, she didn't move. Was not, perhaps, ready to move. Where to take the conversation from here? Inane questions such as 'did you sleep well' just struck her as a waste of time. And time was precious beyond measure. "You're an ambitious one," she remarked, a certain droll humor making its way into her voice.

The girl smiled at the dark skinned woman, in no hurry to move or roll out of the Weyrwoman's bed. It was comfortable, and though it was perhaps cheeky of her, she also noticed that Hestina didn't seem too quick on rolling her out of there, either. Honestly, Kiri couldn't help herself -- she felt great. If that's what flights were like, she'd more than happily experience it again.
Though Hestina was far older than she, and their ranks could hardly be farther apart, Kiri wasn't intimidated. Why should she be? They were both adults, and they had certainly quite the time of it, hadn't they? Kiri didn't think she was a slouch in the looks department, and Hestina certainly was good looking, and fierce. "You don't seem to mind," she added with a smile, though her words practically came out a purr.
She let herself stretch in a feline manner, but she wasn't quite ready to take her eyes off the Weyrwoman. "I'm Kiri," she decided to introduce herself, certain the woman probably had no idea who she was. She wouldn't expect her to know, at any rate, given the running of a Weyr probably meant she had little time to know every face. "If I didn't know you were the Weyrwoman, I might've pegged your name as Amazing," she added with another cheeky laugh. Honestly, she was shameless.
"I hope you had a nice time." She wanted to be certain, at least, that the older woman was satisfied. If she wasn't, well, maybe she could make up for it....
