Now this one, the fourth of the challengers...had an unmistakable familiarity. It didn't take a genius to recognise the markings upon her face and guess that perhaps, the young lioness was from a certain line that remained prominent (for now) within the Stormborn.
Her expression was unreadable on this occasion, her lips pursed as she regarded Hila and considered how the Stormborn might be performing in the face of a series of unrelenting battles. She hadn't been raised with a sense of courtesy to others but she did understand the concept and she could acknowledge that anyone would be tired... Hila was effectively tag-teaming without support!
Nevertheless the blonde lioness afforded her a bow of respect after a moment and pursed her lips. She supposed that on this occasion she would follow Proserpina's example and offer her the opportunity to rest, if only briefly.
"Are you in need of respite?" she asked after a moment and shook her head.
"Otherwise, we might continue with this challenge," she added, unaware that Hila's challenge and her overall performance had now begun to receive the attention of some individuals of significance (well, to Hila at least)...

Frustration at her own disappointing performance had a snarl twisting Hila's maw as she dragged herself back to her feet, even as she tried to shake it off; struggling for some semblance of control, if only so that she could try to turn this trend around. While she wasn't thinking of it, one major trait that she'd never really had the opportunity to show before this was that she wasn't one to give up, even when faced with a series of disappointments, and more difficulties on the horizon.
As she approached her next opponent, though, she hesitated - this lioness had a facial marking that was familiar in her own pride, declaring her family line boldly to anyone who'd come across it previously. Shaking her head to herself, she pushed the thought away, not wanting to distract herself from the fight ahead of her.
Surprised by the repeated offers of a rest between fights, she forced herself to incline her own head, again, in this one's direction before straightening, posture determined. She took a brief stock of her own physical state, barely holding back a grimace. She was bruised, battered, and a steady trickle of blood dripped down one foreleg; at the rate she was going, she'd need to be paying a visit to a certain long-time friend to avoid being so stiff as to be useless in the days to follow. And so...she pushed forward, giving her head a small shake, again. Any hesitation on her part now was just going to give her injuries time to catch up with her, and she was tired enough that even her breathing was getting harder to get under control.
"I'm ready when you are." she said simply, the repeated losses, if nothing else, leaving her more serious, and less inclined to waste time on meaningless boasts.

Hila's arrogance had left her and it was clear that while she might not have won most of her duels this day, she might have learned some form of lesson. How valuable that was remained to be seen, but with the young lioness determined to fight on, Tomsnii did as intended and strode forward. She knew this was the home of her fabled sire and though she had never met him, Hila's hesitance wasn't lost on her.
...Unlike Amtat, Tomsnii possessed the very distinct markings of her sire. In some manner of speaking there was every possibility Hila might suspect something in regards to who and what she was.
"Come then, let us dance," she offered gently and raised a paw. She would circle for now, her movements deliberate as she regarded the darker lioness. However on this occasion she was not the first to attack, it seemed she was granting Hila the opportunity to make a move before she did. It was only fair, particularly given the black lioness now had several handicaps.
Although there was no guarantee Hila would appreciate the sentiment, even Tomsnii knew it might rile her up personally if it was done to her!
The blonde lioness didn't do pity.
