Gold flights. Really, what a waste of her time. While they could occasionally be of some use, get her to line up things to be in a certain area to meet a specific person, they were otherwise useless for anything but a slight chance at looking over some baubles that another rider might have. It made her all the happier to have Impressed to a little white dragon all those turns ago on the sands, one that wouldn't make her feel like she was a slave to an emotion.
That had been a joy of hers since it happened.
In fact... Aice slowly slid upward, letting the sheets bundle around her waist so that she could glance over her shoulder towards the ledge where her little white was laying, silent and almost unseen. Does this mean that you've finished up with... that? Amusement was dripping from his voice as he said it, but Finnath didn't move, his eyes whirling blues and greens as he rested on a ledge that wasn't his own. Oh just as well.
While he might have trumpeted, the little white didn't make a noise, keeping his amusement solely between his rider and himself as she stretched and shifted a bit beside her partner in the bed, blue eyes glancing down to take him in with a neutral expression on her face. A tangle of limbs was what she remembered, movements more than words and anything that could indicate what the man was like other than... well she'd had worse for certain. Thinking that Aice let out a soft chuckle and pulled the sheets back over herself once more.

Thump Scritch, scritch, scraaaaaaaatch. Detlath had not quite made the landing onto his ledge, scrambling up as he dropped the caprine he'd brought along with him down with a bit more of a splattering bounce than delightful. Breakfast!...Lunch? I brought food! the blue announced as he nudged the caprine closer to the white on his ledge, tail lashing playfully. The sound of the dragon struggling to stay on his ledge caused Syas to lurch slightly from his state of half-dozing, rubbing one hand across the back of his head. The morning had been eventful in a way that would mean a lot to the Weyr as a whole - and especially to the candidates....but he really only remembered her. She was already stirring as well, and Syas turned in his bed to look her over. She looked familiar. Hmm. "How're you feelin'?"

Quite a ruckus was happening on the ledge that he'd been occupying for most of the morning, having followed after his rider as silently but as curiously as he could. Turning nearly teal eyes of curiosity over to the side, Finnath was amused beyond words to find that it was a wingmate who's ledge he'd been occupying, one that he knew quite well from having watched though he was quite a bit more exuberant than the white was himself. Detlath had been fun to watch from afar, to see what he would get up to, though on some level he wanted to join in on the fun at times, if only to see where they lead.
So you have, but you should have more space than that on your own ledge. Finnath remarked calmly, reaching out to drag the caprine over so that the blue could settle more comfortably. Wouldn't do to have it fall and cause a fuss. From the tone of his voice, however, it was fairly clear that the little white would have quite enjoyed such a scene, if only to watch it.
Curb your enthusiasm dear, it's still too early for any of that. Aice firmed up her hold on her dragon, having let it slacken off a bit as she'd enjoyed the morning. While he didn't really need any sort of guidance or control usually, if left to his own devices, she'd found he was quite the little terror on wings. Besides, she had someone else she needed to focus her attentions on, if to repay him at the very least for how relaxed and semi-boneless she felt.
Stretching almost in an almost feline manner, Aice brought herself, sheets and all, to lay across the man's torso with a grin, pressing him gently back to the mattress. "Like liquid, always a good outcome." It wasn't entirely wrong, really, despite the fact that she so rarely participated in physical acts for her own pleasure so much as gain she could always appreciate the after glow. "Though I suppose only so well as you yourself feel, or so to say, hopefully positive." She gave a laugh as things were finally beginning to line into place in her memory at last and she pinpointed his face.
Well of course she'd caught a wingmate. Why not?

Detlath eagerly scrambled up onto the ledge, stretching his wings out to their full length for a moment before tucking them back in and sitting. The restless thumping of his tail betrayed his restlessness to all who were not privvy to the long line of questioning and prodding going on between him and Syas. I'd land just find if I'd fell! I bet I could do a cool flip before the air caught my wings - Don't you dare throw yourself off that ledge to test that, Syas likewise had to reach out to hold the blue down. Much to his chagrin. He'd been wanting to focus on the other part of his morning so far. Detlath sneezed pointedly in the direction of the bed, Boring. He didn't give Detlath the satisfaction of a response to that, instead giving Aice his only slightly-divided attention. Say what they would, nobody ever gave full attention once they were bonded with a dragon. "Good," Syas grinned - a familiar look on his face, even if it made it look like he was up to no good every time he did it - "that's the way it should be." If everybody had to shake up their morning, a good pay off was always needed. "The next question is how would you like the rest of your day to go?" Food? Getting away from him? Staying a while? He certainly could accommodate those needs.

It was to his credit that Finnath was exactly half of Detlath's length and size, he was able to duck that stretched out wing easily by simply laying down. Naturally the white's amusement didn't disappear watching his wingmate restlessly twitch and thump his tail about, nor his interesting words as the ledge wasn't quite that high off the floor of the Bowl that he for one second believed the long blue could pull such a move off. Would he encourage it if left to his own devices, oh surely, but Finnath wasn't exactly cruel either.
Hmmm, indeed so. They're quite lax in there at the moment. Though Aice's hold on him, likely the only thing keeping him from leaping from the ledge and instigating the flipping fall he himself knew he could make to try and goad Detlath into following him, Finnath was completely within himself to agree at least. Once again he pressed that he was thrilled to be a white.
His rider herself was rather glad at that he was, but in this moment she was comfortable, stretched over Syas who didn't seem to mind the presence in the moment. Her mind was still clearing from the goldflight lust that had lead to where they were now, but at least she knew she somehow smacked into the right person. Unlike some of their more perky and straight laced wingmates he had some bite to him.
Well... Many facets of that. Aice grinned back at him. "Oh why get out of bed so quickly? You're quite comfortable and the boys get along." Even if both seemed more restless, she could always shoo Finnath off to entertain himself. Or maybe they could together. She herself wasn't in a rush to skip away from Syas' company just yet. "Why I think today of all morning's we would be forgiven for a bit of... indulgence."
demon_pachabel Another that's forever late. Xx;; I'm so sorry Pach.

If Syas didn't hold onto Detlath tightly, the blue would be off in a flight of fancy before any suggestion had been completely uttered. Think anybody will get up before evening? Boring! There's nothing to do all wrapped up indoors and on ledges! He pointedly looked over the ledges where other dragons - some who had been intent to chase that pretty gold and had failed - had settled. Detlath, in general, found the lull right after a Goldflight rather boring in general, though. He'd have rather a chance to go swimming. Maybe try to catch a fish. "I am rather comfortable," Syas agreed, running a hand idly in circular pattern up and down Aice's back, "and there is only so much trouble to get in outside my weyr." Not to say that brand of mischief was boring. But all trouble took a little extra effort to get into, and he wasn't quite ready to go on the hunt for it when he had a different sort right there in his bed.

Finnath rolled the posed question around in his mind for a bit, avoiding a straight answer with the blue might be the best option, but he'd also been around for enough gold flights himself surely to know the answer. Not everyone would be down, there were still duties that had to be attended to, generally they were a little less rigid on such days though. Tilting his head to follow Detlath's line of sight, the white chuckled. They are rather boring, all cuddled up like that and just lazing around, aren't they? Since it appears the two of them have no intention of pulling apart, would you like to play tag?
Let it never be said that Finnath didn't have a bit of a fun streak in him when it came to humoring others. Or annoying his rider.
"Truly, we'd be fools not to see what trouble there is to be had here." Aice grinned and ran her fingers across his chest in lazy twists and turns. "Have anything in mind?" A wicked grin crossed her face as she laid down what could have been seen as a dare. She had things in mind.
