โจโพโจThe Death Room is the room in which the Shinigami, Death, often resides in. It is a separate space from the world. It is assumed to have been created due to Death's capabilities in Shinigami Magic. A portal to the space is located within the Death Weapon Meister Academy. The entrance to the Death Room is located at the end of one of the passageways in Shibusen, indicated by a large door marked with a skull and the plate, 'Death Room.' However, although from the outside, the door is firmly placed on a wall, when one walks inside the Death Room when looking at the door from inside the Death Room, the door seems to be standing on its own with no wall behind it, implying that it might be some sort of different dimension.

โจโพโจ Death looked through his mirror with dismay at the sight of the moon. "That seems unorthodox," His Death Scythe commented. Death looked to them and back to the mirror, brow furrowing. This would need immediate attention before Death City became overwhelmed with insanity. He began the broadcast to all members of the DWMA, visible in most reflective surfaces or through the academy intercom. "Heya, everybody!" He waved a large hand in front of the mirror. "There's some suspicious activity at City Hall. It looks like Madness is spreading from an unusual source. I hope you will all respond in a timely manner to cull the Madness and the Kishin Eggs spreading there. Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work!" His tone and mannerisms were overwhelmingly peppy for someone expressing the precarious, dire situation in Death City. There was a pause as if he was going to say more, but then the communication ended.

โจโพโจRogue hurriedly moved up the steps of the DWMA. He was worried that hundreds of students would come flooding back to speak with Lord Death. Rogue was impatient and not interested in waiting in some long line to talk to the principal. Rogue would lead chance down the halls before stepping through the mirror. This portal transported him to Death's office which was the odd pocket dimension of blue skies and fluffy clouds. "So what the Hell was that? What're we s'posed to do now?" Rogue glared at Death as he continued to feel his seething frustration. He had yet to go on a mission that was quite so horrific and difficult. Watching so many people lose the freedom of their own mental autonomy on top of all of the needless death was so wasteful and avoidable.

โจโพโจJoan would lead her Meister to the DWMA and through the mirror to see Lord Death. When she stepped into the realm she stood close to Rhett and quietly waited to hear from Lord Death. Rogue seemed upset and it caused some anxiety to well up in Joan. What would happen after talking to Death like that? She looked over nervously and awaited what would happen next. She began feeling anxious and instinctively grabbed Rhett's hand to calm herself down. She did not put much thought into it. They were always touching when she was being wielded. This was pretty much the same thing, right?

Rhett and Joan would gaze up at the entrance to Lord Death's world, stepping through alongside the small group of other meisters and weapons as the DWMA students would give their reports on what had happened at Death City. Everyone seemed most confused at what had transpired and for the cause of such alteration of the moon above. Rhett himself would remain awful silent with a concerned look on his brow. Rogue himself was a bit heated and for good reason. A lot of people were likely lost that had no direct interference with anyone's plan. Even the man that had come to attack him had likely been among those few innocents. His hand felt something entangle itself in them as he gave it a soft squeeze out of habit. His eyes guided him to who had done so, seeing Joan's hand inside. A blush hit his face as he'd try and avoid eye contact to keep from her making fun of him for it. But still, she looked a little worried.
"Hey." Rhett whispered to her, trying to lift her mood. "It'll be okay. We'll find out who's responsible and make them pay." He said, hoping their minds were on the same thing.
The DWMA was in shambles - emotionally speaking, of course - as many students hurried through the halls freaking out about what had just occurred. "Ah geez," Chance said as he looked through a classroom door just as someone's shaky hands dropped all of their books and papers on the floor. He continued to follow Rogue, who moved with absolute purpose. "Maybe we shoulda stuck 'round tah see if everyone in town was awright." He felt an unstable mix of emotions on the aftermath of the Madness, a mix of uncertainty, guilt, anxiety, and residual confusion over how he felt about Rogue.
They busted into the Death Room through a mirror before Chance could talk Rogue out of the rude entrance. Rogue immediately asked his questions, without so much as a greeting or apology to Lord Death or his Death Scythe, which made Chance feel even worse. He barely felt like he belonged at the DWMA and he didn't want a reputation for being a trouble-maker. "I ain't ever seen so much magic before," Chance added after Rogue finished speaking. "Yew reckon one of them was up t' it?"

It was a fairly short trip back towards the DWMA, as Evelyn would still have the kid in tow she had picked up from Death City. She wasn't aware of a proper person who might be in charge of her given the circumstances after the madness event had started there, but Evelyn was at least glad that they had a decent resonance together so she wouldn't be shocked every time their arms touched. After getting to the meeting spot, Evelyn would breathe a sigh of relief and look back at the girl riding on her back. "We're here now. Don't worry." she'd smile before feeling her move around a little and proclaim that she wished to be put down. Evelyn was of two minds about the ordeal. For one, it was pretty taxing carrying her around like that, although that older sister instinct of hers kicked in. But she would help the girl be gently lowered back down onto the floor below. The cleric had a few inches on the girl and would at least feeling her cling to her robes as the small party present would present themselves to Lord Death. She walked slow enough for the smaller weapon to not have her grasp be let go. Compared to mostly everyone else, even Alistair who was shadowing behind them being his usual grumpy self, Evelyn was incredibly patient with the girl, moreso than normal.

โจโพโจ"Who raised you?" Wren asked Rogue as the student broke into the Death Room. The Death Scythe towered over the students filling into the room with an unpleasant scowl on their face. "You should never enter through a mirror without explicit invitation, let alone doing so and immediately interrogating Lord Death Himself."
"Heya, relax there! Rogue is very, uh, spirited." Lord Death held up his large hands placatingly towards his Death Scythe before turning to his students. "We need to roll up our sleeves and investigate, kiddos! There is no clear cause of the Madness that shook Death City tonight."
"We cannot deduce if it was a magical source that inflicted the Madness, yet. These things take time. You cannot just barge in and expect results to fall into your lap. If you are familiar with studying, maybe you should try reading a few books or doing some detective work yourself." Wren crossed their arms unhappily, though their gaze fell on Lord Death and they sighed instead, tucking their hands into their pants pockets. "It will take time to get to the bottom of this. Your time is best served investigating firsthand or researching lunar Madness events and related mythos. When we know something, we will share."
Li had been with his new partner and the two who helped him for a while, They had all returned to the DWMA at the same time after a bit of talking. Some basic friendly conversation on the way to the DWMA. It seemed that Sarah had something to do before heading to Death's Room for a debrief, she had offered for them to join her. Kasumi took her up on the offer at the time, however Li let them know that he would meet them at Death's Room. Just in case they missed out on anything important that Lord Death might have said, he could fill them in if they ended up showing up too late to the debrief sort of meaning. When he showed up, there were others already here. A white haired man who looked rather outraged at the situation towards Lord Death. He supposed that was a reasonable response for some. Confusion was founded, of course in such a situation. His partner looked a bit distraught? For lack of a better fitting word for how it seemed to Li. Another pair that didn't stand out much to him at first glance, it took a moment for him to realize that the girl was almost as tall as the male of the pair. Having not realized at first cause she looked normal otherwise. Where girls from around here just that tall? It was fine. And another girl who seemed to be dressed in almost if not confirmed nun-like attire. Li himself just waited, not saying anything yet. He figured his questions may be answered at some point and if they weren't then he would ask them after.
Currently, Kasumi is strolling aside her new partner through the pathway of a vass "artifact" open space, graves of preserve kishin-eggs surrounded the platform as it stood in the middle, after an returning order were announced. From there, they were welcomed by two students as well as offering to join them towards the head-honcho's room. However, they had to make a detour to the library so, the latter decided to wait for them here. At this point in, the brunette had mix feelings; one felt relieved that it's over with, met new people AND a new weapon partner! ....On the other hand; this unsettling feeling crept up, the damaged, and Death knows how many bystanders lost their life. Too busy deep in mind, silently cursing, she accidently bumped into Li's back catching her foot before rubbing her back head while flustered, drawing her attention to the commotion. This place is... lively. A silver haired sounded angry at what happen in City Hall in return the Shinigami reacted in annoyance-- either from the approach or how the boy entered, his... partner in hat looks distress probably trying to ease the tension down: hazel orbs shifting to another pair; a red haired and a blue haired... whos taller than him? Interesting, and lastly, looks like students in priests attire; Her answer? Nuns. A lively bunch. So, while waiting for someone else to speak up, Kasumi decided to take this time to do some quick reps in pushing away those worries, focusing on the bigger issue.
"We're here now. Don't worry." Those words meant to reassure only made Lily grab onto Eve even tighter. Before Eve could simply dump her somewhere, Lily jostled and asked, "Down... Please put me down," before getting exactly as she requested. She was put down... only to clutch tightly onto the other, bigger girl's skirt. Lily really wanted to just hug Evelyn tight, but she had calmed down since eating the soul. Her appetite, now whetted, craved more, but she had regained at least enough clarity of mind to act with restraint. Eve barely knew Lily, so if Lily wanted to stay with Eve, she needed to be on her best behavior and show the bigger girl that she would be a good girl who won't get in the way.
In fact, that is exactly what Lily declared. While her little steps plodded along besides Eve, the gentle girl's guidance letting Lily walk at a comfortable pace without having to speed up to catch up, Lily shyly mumbled, "I-I'll be a good girl, so can you please keep me? I promise I won't get in the w-way, and I'll go in the box whenever I'm told to." Frightened of rejection, she didn't dare to even look up at Evelyn to see the other girl's reaction. Nonetheless, if not through her eyes, her sincerity could be seen in how tightly she maintained the grip on Evelyn.

tab'Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear.' Scurrying his way through the twisting hallways of the DWMA, Finnwick was clearly in a hurry to reach his destination. Naturally an anxious person, his nerves had only been heightened by his current tardiness. Granted, the delay in his schedule couldn't be helped. After the events that had occurred at city hall, he had been made to spend some time in the school's infirmary to fully recover from all that had transpired. Still, even with a valid excuse, the thought of causing even the slightest inconvenience for anyone else filled the young meister with dread. Hence his haste in reaching Lord Death's chambers as quickly as possible.
tab Finally arriving at his destination, Finnwick paused outside the door. Was it really alright for him to enter? What if the people inside were having an important discussion? He'd hate to cause a disturbance. Still, it was important that he speak with Lord Death. The visions of madness from the moon still lingered in his mind and after witnessing all the suffering that had occurred, he was desperate to get to the bottom of things. And so, taking in a deep, calming breath, he summoned his courage and took hold of the door's handle.
tab Opening the door just enough for him to slide through, Finnwick quietly slipped into the room. It seemed that quite a crowd had already gathered, mostly comprised of what seemed to be pairs of older students. No doubt they too were here to discuss matters pertaining to the moon's strange transformation, many of them probably having also been on the ground during the altercation. Thus, rather than inserting himself into the conversation, he instead remained behind the group, silently listening as the others carried on.

โจโพโจRogue scowled at the Death Scythe who proceeded to lecture him for his completely justified breach of bureaucratic protocol. "Oh I'm sorry, ah should remember to knock after the Moon spits an ocean of madness on the planet Earth!" Rogue snapped rebelliously at the death scythe with a foolhardy and self-righteous lack of fear of authority. "Uh huh, I'm sure it'd be real convenient for ya if we all just fell in line like a buncha mindless drones. Real people died today or lost their sanity. The very basis of their freedom, gone. It's y'all's job to figure these things out." Rogue asserted himself without attacking the Death Scythe personally. "Go ahead and give me detention if that's what yer gonna do. I don't care. But if y'all need me to help then I need more thoughts. Why was there an image of a man's face at the end? Do y'all think that was an illusion or the man responsible for this? Did he look familiar to ya, Lord Death?" He started to calm down as he focused on getting to the bottom of this. He was stubborn but he understood that they needed to put their heads together, in the end, to stop this from happening and keep more people from getting hurt.
Chance was petrified at the Death Scythe's anger, but Rogue's response was only fuel to the fire. "Rogue!" He squeaked, face warming in embarrassment and fear for the two of them. "No, no, there ain't no need fah detention or nothin'!" He held his hands up with his palms out in a sign of placation as he physically got between Rogue and the Death Scythe. "We wan' tuh work wit y'all on thuh mystery. We git that y'all don' have all thuh answers yet, but we wanna help y'all wit it. I reckon that's what my pardner Rogue means.' He hoped the other students in the room didn't feel like the two of them were abrasive; Chance wanted to make friends at the DWMA, not get excommunicated from it so early into his admission as a student.
