Leah Jane Fox had slipped out of her father's Atelier, looking for something more fun to do. Sure, he was interesting to watch sometimes, and his art was definitely neat but... The little Goo Girl got bored. He did not allow her to... ingest... anything but food in the studio, and she got tired of not being able to absorb interesting things, like she did out here in the greater world.
She never absorbed anything living, of course, though perhaps if she had to save herself from something she might. For now... For now she wanted to explore and play. It was a beautiful night, perhaps a bit cool and crisp, but the stars were shining and the moon was full and round, glowing a silvery color that quite complimented Leah's fur... Not that she knew that.
What she knew was that the pretty light made for interesting patterns on the ground, and there were rocks and leaves she could absorb as she practiced shifting to help her. It was all a delight to the innocent, bored girl's senss.
She darted... Well, at least first she darted, but then her feet melted into goo and she more flowed than ran... towards a grove of trees that made for the most delightfully dappled patterns on the ground. When she reached the edge of the grove, she made a happy face, and a soft sound of delight, then she shifted fully to goop, absorbing any leaf litter and rocks underneath, but leaving the living grass alone. There was a moment when all the was visible was bubbling goo, then she spread herself out, and began to make ghosts 'float' up and down out of her, dancing through the dappling light. A bubbling giggle sound might be heard, as she played.

The little sheet ghost may have gotten herself a little bit lost. At least, she was not sure, exactly, where she was and nothing about this place seemed familiar. It even smelled different than the types of places that she'd grown used to. Less death and violence and blood. It was something more crisp and earthy and almost welcoming. So yes. Lost. That is most definitely what she was. Through the trees the little ghost swayed, flitting here and there, sometimes twirling round and round a few times with her head tilted back and her face towards the sky, letting out a little giggle. She thought she might actually like it here. It was different, but not in a way that made her feel like she was in danger, though she would need to figure out her way home at some point, or at least, a safe place to get out of the sun when the time came. Eventually, she came to the edge of the grove of trees, her erratic 'floating' about leaving her slightly disoriented and not at all paying attention to her surroundings. But then she heard something and she stopped, her head slowly turning. Were those...were those other little ghosts like her??There was a delighted sound from behind the sheet as she lowered herself to the ground and began to stalk forward on all fours, the ghost sheet seeming to flatten out against the ground. When she was close enough, she tried to pounce on one of the little ghost shapes.

Leah paused in her play-practice, hearing a sound she did not recognize somewhere nearby. All of the little ghost shapes turned, trying to spot what had made the sound... Chiaroscuro had warned her, once or twice, that the night might contain dangers to her, dangers she did not understand or something to that effect. She still was not sure what he meant...
She could absorb anything she covered with her goop, after all...
But still, he could not bear the thought of his daughter hurt, so she tried to be sure that she was always aware of what was going on around her. As such, when a strange shape came hurtling out of the shadows towards her, Lean made a surprised sound and all of her goop suddenly pulled back, withdrawing into a single pile and forming into one, singular ghost-like version of her normal self. She stared at the person and then her eyes went wide with fasciation.
Another ghost-person? Who were they? Were they like her, able to change shapes? Or was it some sort of outfit? She stared in curiosity, shifting fully to her normal self, down even to the little ghosts around her. She moved... Slowly and carefully... Towards the other girl. There was moment of silence, then she said one word. "Play?"

Drat! The little sheet ghost had come up empty-pawed, grasping at nothing but dirt and dead leaves on the ground instead of capturing herself a cute little ghostling. She huffed out a disappointed sigh and straightened. Only to see a much larger ghostly figure staring back at her. Gremlin went stone still, almost eerily so. When one did not require breath, it was a fairly easy thing to do. She stared and stared, not willing to be the first one to say anything or move, but when the entity finally did move, shifting into a new form, the sheet ghost finally blinked, and sat back on her heels, but did not stop staring, as she waited to see what would happen next. The girl moved toward her, and Gremlin slowly leaned back, though did not move away more than that. A sign that she was, at least, curious enough about this girl to not run away from her just yet. And then that single word was spoken, and Gremlin settled back down, and even leaned forward a little, her face splitting into a grin that the other girl could not see. She nodded her head enthusiastically. 'Play' sounded like a wonderful idea.

Leah waited, silently, not moving closer when she noticed the other ghost leaning back from her. The sudden leaning forwards, the nod... All of this led to Leah beaming in happiness because play was ever so exciting, and a new playmate was all she had been hoping for. She wiggled happily and then considered the shape of the glade they were in for a long moment, her two-tone eyes glittering in the moonlight.
Finally, she said "One Moment. I shift, and you will see."
She fell back into that thin goop puddle she had been before being startled, but this time, the way she spread out was in an arc around Gremlin for the moment... She had considered a circle, but being fully behind her new playmate seemed unfair when Gremlin did not know what the other could do.
She went still for a moment, not even shimmering, then began to have the ghosts float again, up and down, trying to make a random pattern for the other to play with.
