The shadows of the forest were doing a good job of keeping her cool. Her black color made it hard for her to enjoy nice warm days. She loved the warmth of the sun but it over heated her so quickly. She looked up at the sky through the branches stretched above her. She let out a sad sigh as she continued to walk. She could rest under a nice shade tree but she was feeling energetic. What good would it do to just sit in the shade? Her ears perked up as she heard a strange noise coming from in front of her. She squinted her eyes to try and see if there was potential danger. She halted in her steps and got ready to run for it if needed. The noises grew in volume and she became curious. She slowly took a few more steps to the source of the sound. There was a section of large rocks ahead of her to the left. Her eyes carefully scanned the area around her for any tracks that could belong to shifters. The tension eased a bit when she didn't spot any in the immediate area. This just made her all the more curious as to what could be making the sounds. She continued cautiously to approach the sounds coming from the rocks. Her eyes went wide with shock when she discovered it was a stallion that was covered in blood. She blinked slowly as she stopped a few feet from him. She could tell he was supposed to be white in color but was red with shades of pink darkening his body. It was stupid to ask if he was okay because it was clear that he wasn't. She opened her mouth to speak but quickly shut it. What was she supposed to do? She looked around her to see if there was anything else she needed to know about. It seemed to just be him that was there. "How bad is it?" She didn't know the appropriate thing to do in the situation but she could try and be helpful. As she waited for his answer, she tried to think of a way to get water to him. She needed to be able to see the damage and that was only going to happen if she rinsed away the colors.

Zamael’s eyes fluttered open, and the dim, shadowed forest blurred in his vision. His body felt heavy, almost numb, but the throbbing pain in his side and the scent cold blood that had already dried against his skin reminded him that he was very much still alive—and very much still in trouble. He inhaled sharply, wincing at the tightness in his chest. There was an ache that didn’t come from that monster’s wounds strewn across his side. That... was a familiar sensation. His body had been through worse, but he hadn’t been this vulnerable in a long time. The cold earth beneath him, the sharp scent of blood, and the eerie stillness of the forest set his teeth on edge.
Then, the voice cut through the fog of his fading consciousness. "How bad is it?"
He blinked slowly, forcing his eyes to focus on the figure standing over him. A Mare—blood red hair, dark fur which made her blend in with the shadows behind her . She didn’t look like a threat. Still, there was something in the way she held herself, like she wasn’t sure whether to help or run. Zamael’s lips curled into a faint, grim smile. He tried to get up, but the effort left him gasping, and he had to settle back into the dirt, biting back a groan. The pain in his ribs flared like wildfire. He didn’t have the strength to keep his head up for long, so he let it drop back onto the ground with a heavy exhale. It was then that he noticed the blood on him wasn’t just his own. There was more of it—dark, sticky streaks on his skin. The beast's blood. “Bad enough...” His voice rasped, rough from the dry air and the toll the battle had taken on him. His eyes flickered up to her again. “Not dead yet. That’s something, I suppose.” He had endured worse pain in the form of Annabell, physical was nothing at this point.
There was something in the mare’s gaze—a hesitation, maybe pity, or maybe just uncertainty. Either way, Zamael didn’t have the energy for it. He turned his head slightly, his face tightening as he worked to push himself up again, his legs trembling faintly as they braced his weight. “Water,” he said hoarsely. “If you’ve got any. Don’t need your sympathy, but... I could use a drink.” His body wanted to shut down, but he fought it. The mare seemed kind enough, but that didn’t mean she was trustworthy. He’d been caught off guard before, and he wasn’t keen on making that mistake again. He was too exhausted to do more than meet her gaze for a moment. He didn’t trust her, not yet. But she hadn’t lunged at his throat while he was down, so that was something.

She winced as she watched him try to get up. She had no idea the extent of the damage but he was clearly in a lot of pain. "You are really hurt, please save your strength and lay back down." She pleaded and stepped closer to him to try and urge him back down. "I don't think you should move a lot.."" It would be easier if he could move to a water source but she would have to figure out how to bring it to him. "I can get you water but please lay back down." She looked at him with concern and hoped he would understand it was the better option. "Your not in danger..uh from me anyway...." She took a look around as she spoke because she wasn't sure if he was truly safe here. "Um..is it safe for me to help you?" She didn't want to risk her hide to help him if whatever hurt him was coming back for him. "I just don't wanna die trying to help you.." She stuttered out nervously but didn't move away from him. "Er that is to say I mean not that your probably not worth it or anything but your really hurt and it looks extremely painful and I'd just rather not....go through what you are..going through right now..." She paused while hurriedly and nervously speaking to breathe before finishing.
