Wispin was going to do something very exciting today. He was going to visit a friends field where said friend grew vegetables and fruits. He was also going to visit a small bakery nearby that made bread the old way with brick ovens. It always smelled so nice in there. He was very happy to visit those places. It had been quite some time since he last had visited the place. He should probably try to visit there more often as he really liked it there. His friend wasn’t going to be there but that was okay. It was actually the reason Wispin came. He was looking after the fields a little bit while his friend was away. It was also an great excuse to visit that nearby bakery. He didn’t really needed to check anything there but he was going anyway.
He was trotting though the forest which it’s edge was his home. He knew the forest well and saw some familiar trees while moving through the forest on his way to the fields. Luckily to him his friend lived nearby so he didn’t need to go far for his check visit. He continued through the forest looking around at the trees and plants. It was beautiful there like usual in this season. It wasn’t really time for most mushrooms just yet but he saw several already. He also saw some mushrooms that caught his attention. He stopped and turned around staring at them. He tilted his head and wondered if he had seen it correctly. There were quite a lot of MUSHROOMS in the forest right now but he just noticed some he thought he hadn’t seen before. He was now sure he never saw this type before. He decided to leave them alone for now fearing they might be poisonous. Maybe he was going back later to pick some after asking his friend Healee if that was okay. Healee knew more about plants and mushrooms than he did. He continued to trot through the forest and was almost at the other end so he was close to the fields now.
As he left the forest and into the fields he started to look around again to see if anything was off. However everything looked normal and nothing strange was there to see. His friend grew corn, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables and all looked fine. There where some birds around but not really this many so he didn't really need to do anything. Nothing had really grown very big yet but that was totally normal this time of year. The fruit trees looked good as well even if they didn’t have any fruits yet. The trees looked really healthy. He spent some time at the fields and the trees just to be sure everything was really okay. But after quite some time he decided it was enough. Since he didn’t really needed to do anything on the fields right now he could go and visit the little bakery.
He was very excited to do so. It too has been a while since he had last been there. It had even been longer ago than his visit to the fields. To get there he first had to go to a little garden that was around the bakery. He walked around in the garden and saw some really beautiful flowers full in bloom. It was sure a wonderful thing to see. He hadn’t realized the garden would look this beautiful right now but it did. He suddenly heard a loud sound that startled him. It was the sound of something falling or being thrown at him close by. He quickly turned around slowly going backwards with his eyes narrowed at his ears back. What had he heard? Was someone throwing things at him? Was he in any danger? He immediately relaxed as he saw what happened. A garden gnome was on the ground and had apparently toppled over maybe by the wind? Then he noticed several lawn flamingos around each with a garden gnome on there back. Strange Who would do something like that Wispin wondered. Probably his friend. The GNOME on the ground was right next to a lawn flamingo so it must have fallen of and hadn’t like he first thought toppled over. He carefully placed it back on the back of the lawn flamingo till it stood firm. He didn’t want it to fall of again. His friend apparently wanted them like this and he respected that and kept them that way too. Now he could finally visit the bakery.
He happily went towards the bakery and got inside. It smelled really nicely of freshly baked bread just as he hoped. Someone was making a new batch to bake by hand. It was almost ready for the oven. Wispin watched as a New batch was carefully put in an oven and it was slowly closed. It was really fascinating to see. It also meant more fresh bread soon. He was going to get some bread to take with him. After he got some bread he noticed it was slowly getting late. He sadly had to head home again. With some bread with him he started to gallop home. He wanted to be home before dark. He was going to visit again soon. Hopefully when his friend was actually around so they could do things together. Not a lot had happened today but it had been a great day. END ( Words: 912)
