This RP is only for Kesmi and me. Please, do not post unless given permission.
June Prompt The Setting/Build Up: You are enjoying an exploring walk with a friend (who either cannot have wings or cannot carry something large) while you are enjoying the spectacular view from the top of a mountain or cliff. You are being careful, but sometimes things still happen. One moment you're walking by the side of your friend a few feet from the edge when the ground crumbles beneath you. When you come to, you hear your friend yelling your name. If you have wings, they are too damaged to fly. You're very disoriented, but you finally hear that your friend is yelling for you not to move. Then you see why. Somehow on your tumble down the cliff, you've been stopped (quite violenty) by a protruding tree or some shrubbery. How it's supporting you at all, is anyone's guess. If you move very much though it's not going to hold and you will fall to your death. The Prompt: Write an RP for the benchmark you are going for that explains your situation. You're there for hours. How hard is it not to move? How do you keep from moving? Does the branch start to give? What are you thinking about? How do you pass the time? Or (if you're the friend) what do you do when you see your friend has fallen and by some miracle they still live. What do you do? What do you have to go through to get help? How far do you have to go? What do you come up with? Your rp can use one or both of these prompts. Each RP should also conclude with how the soquili who's fallen is rescued. (Remember,if you have wings, they are out of commission. Your friend can't support your weight. It's going to take either a group to rescue you or some kind of inspired rescue by one or two friends. May the odds be ever in your favor.

As the sun began to rise, two lovers set out on a journey. Packing no more than their love, they moved onward through the forest towards the path that would take them upward to view the stars. As the sun warmed the ground, the dew glistened on the sleeping plants as they reached their leaves and blossomed upward. Birds began to sing as the world unfolded into an orchestra of sound and impeccable beauty before the stallion and mare. Kimimela or Kimi as she liked to be called, grew excited as she moved alongside her mate as he kept her safe under his wing. Journies were always her favorite as they led you to so many amazing things woven by nature. The mare had never witnessed falling stars, if only in her dreams that other strangers were murmuring about. Even as a filly, the mare had never gotten to see the spectacular sky throw diamonds to the ground below. It sounded magical to a creature born in the far-off jungles of the South Islands. As each hoof pressed into the ground composed of soft mosses and tall grasses. Occasionally, the mare would partake of sweet untouched grasses quenching her thirst in nearby trickling streams. Once they exited the forest revealing a vast mountain before them, Kimi's unique orange eyes widened. The Mountains were incredible in size and visual masterpieces. In comparison to the stone giants, both Kimi and her mate Andre would seem about the sizes of some peculiar ants to these massive lords touching the sky. Kimi pondered if they'd be able to touch the falling star diamonds being this high off the ground. The thought amused her as she turned to her mate, "Andre? The star diamonds catch we will up there high?" She couldn't help but be giddy dreaming of sitting on her haunches as the diamond stars would fall into her hooves as they turned upward to capture them. Perhaps, they could have a necklace made of them or even bracelets. Then her eyes widened excitedly, "Glowing the diamonds will make us shimmer, yes? Pretty, oh so they will be". WC: 354

Andre had seen a few star showers in his time, mostly when he was younger. His siblings and himself would try and chase them, when their wings could support them. The last one was when his sister, now tormentor, Neva was a foal and he chased the stars with her and his two younger brothers. Now he was headed for the mountain top to watch another with his own star that blazed brightly in his own darkness. "The stars will light up the sky as they glide across it." He nodded as they walked, his own gaze looking upward. "I am not so sure if catching them is possible, my siblings and I tried when we were younger. Always out raced us back them." There was a chuckle as he looked back towards Kimi. He had fallen for the mare when he was at his lowest. He was ready to leap off a cliff and let himself fall to the ground below. His family had been at odds with his sister that had let herself become a creature of darkness. Something that had preyed on their sympathies. Then Kimi had come along, showing him that there was still something to live for. Sure her means of speech would frustrate any other stallion, but he found it one of her charms. Sometimes he simply said nothing and just let her talk, to hear her talk. She was brighter this night than any other sky diamond or star shower. "Come on, race you to the top." He nudged her a bit, his wings pressed to his sides as he went. His rabbit familiar, who was following behind shook her head. "Oh come on Andre, really?" She protested before bounding forward behind him. "Not everyone has the greatest of stamina!"[[ wc: 297 ]]

As Kimimela walked alongside Andre, she felt warmth and protection. Of everyone, her heart might have settled for it was this particular stallion. Each hoofprint molding within the sandy terrain settled nicely with Andre's prints. As Kimimela began feeling her age, she'd seek younger behavior such as Andre listening to her social temperment. Kimi loved nothing more than to chat daily about everything around her. He out of her past loves was the only one to accept her speech, showing interest in everything. Not once had he ever corrected her in bouts of joy and chatter. Gazing upward she grew excited, still believing she could capture one as a prize. Andre's invitation to race sounded exciting as both mare and stallion would use their older legs, which mostly stuck to walking. Flicking her striped tail, Kimi began dancing in place as she grinned, hooves moving around him, "To the top, race we must. Beat you, Kimi must, thinks she does". Nuzzling Andre, she grinned, orange orbs glowing as the sun was setting, She spoke, "Go, Ready, Set. At the top, There I'll see you" she mused then took off in a brisk trot, canter, then a full out gallop. It had been ages since she and Glory had raced, she missed this energy. This gave her the heartfelt aura to keep going as the scenery passed her by. As her feet pounded into the ground, she couldn't help but turn her head to peek behind her to see how close her mate was behind her, WC: 255

Andre chuckled as his mate spoke of the race that was to be had. Shaking his head as he did, Andre commented, "To the top, we see shall." This was all in a teasing fashion as he set her get a bit of a head start. "Here I come!" Andre gave a shout before quickening his pace. He started at a mere trot, letting the wind flow through his feathers and mane. Tail flicking slightly, he quickened to a canter. His legs reaching as far as they could with each step. "Come on Scratch, we can't let her win."Bounding beside the stallion to the best of her ability, Catscratch huffed as as she wasn't as fast as the stallion or the mare. Glancing at the stallion with her solitary good eye, the other had been branded shut with three jagged scars. "You two are going to give me a heart attack." She rasped before leaping the best she could onto his back. "I swear, never a dull moment with you."Andre chuckled before his pace until he was galloping behind Kimi. It had been a bit since Andre had been running this much. Perhaps it hadn't been since he was younger, mated to another who simply vanished from the plains. There were times he wondered how his children were doing, they had stopped talking to him and seem to have lives of their own. Shaking the thoughts from his mind, he focused on Kimi who was a distance before him. He would catch up to her eventually.. [[ WC: 268 ]]

Kimimela noted she carried an impressive distance between Scratch and Andre. Considering this thought, Kimilmela still kept her speed as she continued around the corner. The finish line was viewed as a reward along with seeing diamonds falling from the sky. She was so enthralled with such an idea that Kimimela didn't notice the scattered rocks that appeared beneath her hooves. The moment was within her grasp when her weight caused her to stumble, followed by her falling over the side of the mountain. All she could sense was sliding as her eyes gazed into nothingness frosted with an eerie fog or mist. Kimimela's heart beating uncontrollably nearly escaped her chest. Suddenly, the sliding ceased as she felt her legs somehow straddled on a branch, tree, or log. She pondered that it had leaves, perhaps it was a tree? Kimimela had clenched her eyes shut after seeing her fate rush toward her. Now she slowly opened them, her right left leg was burning from the fall. Kimimela dared not move for fear of falling to her death. Perhaps this was a scary dream where she was curled next to Andre in the security of love and warmth. Then her right leg began stinging snapping her into reality, as she gazed downward. Her view was darkness with mist as once before. It was difficult to tell how far that drop descended. Kimi uttered a small cry feeling dread as she couldn't shift into a more comfortable position. This thought was terrifying, remembering the flood in her homeland as her troupe made their way into the trees. Most had drowned as they fell into the watery abyss except her brother. He was the reason that Kimimela survived, yet he was swept away in the water currents later on. The biggest thing she remembered was a phrase he had uttered when she was placed out of harm's way. "Believe in yourself" he spoke as he disappeared from her life forever. Now, Kimimela looked up toward the edge she had fallen from. Andre, Now she grew worried for her mate as he might not have the same fate of being saved by whatever was holding her weight. Immediately, Kimimela started calling out, just enough to be heard. If she thrashed about, Kimimela would surely slip into the raging waters below. Once again she called out, letting her voice rise enough to be heard, "Fallen Kimi has! Slow down, Andre and Scratch, you must! Come down here you can't!"WC: 414

Andre was a few paces behind Kimi, aiming to let her win so that she could be the first to witness the star shower that was sure to be tonight. He had hopes that he would be able to gift her something, but as he watched the ground became rough beneath their hooves. Andre, with the use of his wings managed to keep his footing, while they weren't flight worthy anymore they were enough to keep him from taking a tumble as well. Stepping carefully he looked down over the stones, small grits of dirt falling as he did. "Kimi! Are you alright?" He yelled down the cliff face wishing he hadn't let his abilities of flight go. These things would make all this much easier! "Hold tight, we'll find a way to get you back up here."Turning around he glanced at the stones and dirt that laid around. They weren't too far from some trees that looked like they were entangled in vines. Those would work, right? "What do you think Scratch, would those vines help bring her back up?"The rabble hopped down from his back and headed towards the trees were the vines grew. She inspected them and they were much too thin on their own, but she figured if she would weave though together they just might work. "Take a little time, but I think if I can weave enough together we can make a rope and pull her back up." The rabbit shouted back as she started tugging on the vines with her paws. As she worked, other woodland critters started to appear and look on curiously. There was a soft chattering as it seemed that they were starting to gossip and wonder what was going on. The rabbit chattered back through bared teeth and other critters became alarmed. Scurrying about they too started pulling the vines from trees and weaving them over and under each other to make a lone coil of improvised rope. [[ wc: 331 ]]

Kimimela could barely lift her head as the tree holding her weight threatened to drop her into the nothingness. Kimimela made a long sorrowful sound in despair. This was just like the flood when she was but a foal as the watery abyss threatened to carry her away forever. Though Kimi was terrified, she had to be brave, for Andre. Her ears could pick up on faint rustling and chatter high above. Andre's voice was hurried, if not concerned trying to discover a remedy to get Kimimela back on track to seeing the falling stars. As the thought was comforting, the sky was darkening with the stars as they started to twinkle. Kimimela sighed for she might miss those falling diamonds. Still, she held hope that her fear wouldn't come true. If Andre had anything to do with it, she refused to believe the misty flood would swallow her whole. Trying to crane her neck upward curiously, she wondered what the commotion was high above her. As she tried not to shift a branch dug deeper into her rump that it stung even more now. similar to a bee. Kimi's eyes were watering so much now that she forgot not to shift. As she moved a tiny bit, her weight caused the tree to creak as if it was breaking. Kimi whined again refusing to move anymore. The darkness was setting in making it more difficult to stay positive. She just needed to Believe in herself and Andre so that she wouldn't fall into the abyss. WC: 256

The vine rope was growing in length, though it wasn't clear as to how much it would hold. When the rope was a good few feet long, a couple of birds took one end and flew it down towards the tree that was clinging to the cliffside. Andre glanced down as the birds looped the rope around the branch to help hold it in place. While the critters started weaving another to try and help Kimi back up to them. Andre turned towards Scratch and asked her to head back the way they had come to try and find someone that could help them pull her up. The Rabbit dashed off into the brush as the sky was getting ever darker. Andre still wished that he hadn't let his wings weaken to the point that they had. He could have flown down and helped her off the branch, or at least been more comforting. "Hang in there Kimi, Help is coming." He yelled down, hoping that he could be heard. [[ WC: 172 ]]

Kimimela took another breath as she heard sounds coming towards her. This time it was birds as they were bringing down some sort of rope. Possibly a vine? Curiously, she kept trying to keep an eye on them till the tree creaked, Then she halted quickly, eyes closing. The darker hues of the evening were starting to engross the light around her. This thought process of being swallowed by nothingness was downright terrifying in a nutshell. Still, she was trying to believe in those trying to help her escape this nightmare. But, mostly, her patience in staying positive had to prevail. ~*`*~ Meanwhile, not too far from the harrowing rescue, there approached a set of siblings. Both were hued in the golden kiss of the sun as their manes resembled the white fluffy clouds. A bit ago they had heard some sound of distress echoing from the top of the mountain. Darkness was setting in rather splendidly as the stars emerged from their sleepy hiding places Still the first one showing concern was the mare adorned in beautiful roses, "Thorleif, I sense distress. I thought it was only the nature around us, but, something is wrong."The other walking beside the mare carried paws instead of hooves, his coat was lighter than the mare's and seemed like creamy caramel compared to his sister who was the contrast of honey essence. Nodding, his voice released like smooth yet strong ambrosia, "I've been hearing crying within the breeze as it carried downward, Angelica. We are not the only ones heading to the viewing area."The mare nodded in agreement before noticing an odd black and white rabbit heading toward them, "They look frantic. Something is wrong!" Taking the initiative, the mare galloped, wings spread wide like a beacon, "Over here! Are you looking for help?"The stallion let his sister take the lead since she was way more empathetic than him. He had his thoughts surrounding him and the dreams of the icy mare that plagued him. He had to find this dream-filled state wondering if she was seeking him. It was frivolous currently worrying about his dreams, while another creature could be in severe trouble right now, Immediately, he moved up beside Angelica raising his wings so their presence could both be seen. Catscratch dashed and darted through the bushes back down the trail that the lovers had taken. Muttering beneath her breath as she did, her singular eye looking around as she did. Stopping a moment, her ears twitching as she listened, weren't there anyone out at this time? Were all the rest of Soquili kind that much of a stickler to going to bed early? Rubbing her face with her paws in frustration the sounds of someone... No two, reached her ears with the soft uttering of them talking. "Hello?" Scratch called before she dashed forward once again nearly running face first into the legs of the large many winged mare. "Trouble up a head, my bond and his mate were racing. Mate tumbled over the side of the cliff. Blanch not going to last much longer." She tries to explain breathlessly. Turning around she headed back up the trail, "This way!" She didn't wait to even see if this pair would even come to help. She only hoped that they would, the mare seemed like the type to help. Catscratch wasn't too sure about the stallion... Then again, she had other things on her mind then how others looked. [[ WC: 205 ]]

The mare watched as the rabbit approached her. It seemed panicked with good reason. It appeared they bonded and his mate had raced, then tragedy struck. It sounded unreal about the branch, but Angelica perceived a sneaking suspicion this was a dire rescue.was in order. Angelica and her older brother were capable of saving his mate and her love out of peril. Without a word, the multiple-winged mare took off after the fleeing rabbit toward the mountain's viewing area. As she took off into a gallop, she used her wings to gather speed. She knew Thorleif would follow on his terms. His words weren't spoken more than needed as lately, the stallion was plagued with taking a quest. Angelica skidded to a halt just missing the pebbles. The first thing she noticed were creatures weaving vines as they extended it over the cliff. Angelica moved slowly toward the edge, carefully looking downwards. Between the middle of the mountain and the deep bottom, there was an ominous fog that appeared like a river. Settled above the fog was a solitary tree growing from the mountain's side. Then she gasped as a thin yet good-sized mare was hanging on for dear somehow. The tree wouldn't hold forever which set the Angeni mare into action. "I'm here to help as will my brother when he gets up here". Quickly, she grabbed the vine as it was being constructed even longer now. Angelica could tell the mate of the mare was panicking yet the rescue wasn't in his hooves. Angelica extended her wings as she carried the vines strongly in her mouth. Immediately, she took off flying over the edge, her wings moving in sync as she glided down in front of the terrified creature with watery orange eyes. "Shh don't stress. Stay positive. We won't let you fall" Angelica spoke to the frightened lemur mare. Kimimela blinked as she felt a breeze overtake her. As she focused, the lemur mare noticed there was a larger mare golden as the sun, with multiple wings of an angel. She noticed the mare was wrapping the vine around her securely. "Kimi not falling see Will? See again Andre and Scratch Kimi will. Has to Kimi must!"Angelica tilted her head, such an interesting set of speech this mare had. "You will see him again" She responded, "Hang tight. If the tree does let go, this should hold you. Believe in yourself Kimi".WC: 406

(Kes, won't be able to post, So I finished the RP)
Thorleif finally closed the chapter in his mind placing priority on the pair in trouble. He decided to take the long route as his wings extended, Paws pulsating his gallop into a rush of air. Gliding along the air, strong wings curved him upward along the curve of the mountain. Keen ears caught sounds of creatures struggling, yet pushing to save the Soquili in distress, Pulling out further from the cliff, he saw the distressed mare. The stallion had to stare a bit to realize a mare was somehow being saved by a tree extending from the mountain. His sister had already tied a vine around the mare in case the tree was to plummet into the sea of fog below. Bringing himself around, Thorleif flew inward till he kept himself stationary in front of the mare. Then he carefully checked the vines noting her thoughts were bleeding from a stray branch. A strange crack could be heard as the mare shifted. The stallion immediately sprung into action, "This is going to get a little frightening. Have faith in Angelica's hope" he spoke as the branch creaked more.
How long was she suspended there, the lemur-colored mare pondered. This tree wasn't going to stay like this forever! Before she knew it, the mare had flown back to the mountain. Now, a lighter-colored pawed angeni stallion was hovering next to her. He was checking the braided vine when Kimi felt her inner leg start bleeding. Now she shifted from the pain, and not soon after there was an incredible blood-curdling sound that caused her heart to sink. As the tree began peeling out of the mountain, Kimimela felt her body grow heavy as she lost her grip on the tree.
Angelica immediately took the lead in the rescue party as she positioned each of the creatures to grab the vine. Moving to the edge she saw her brother had finally arrived, securing the vines, "Alright everyone. Hold onto the vine as your lives depend on it!" She shouted as the tree finally started pulling out of the mountain.
Kimi was panicking as the tree chacked finally from her weight, "Nooooooooooooo" she cried as her body began releasing into the misty fog below. "Kimi believed she tried. Sorry so Sorry Kimi is, Everyone... Andre". Then she felt something beneath her as she heard several wings around her. Her eyes opened wide she wondered what was going on.
Thorleif saw the tree breaking as its long-lived roots detached. Immediately, he moved in a swoosh of feathers to catch her as her hooves touched the mist. The strong stallion then called upward to the ones on safer solid ground. "Angelica! Pull her up. I need a little less gravity right now!"
Angelica nodded, "Got it!" as she, the wildlife, and Andre pulled on that vine pulling Kimimela up as Thorleif pushed her up with his strength till the Lemur mare was safe on the ground.
Kimimela's legs hurt being there for hours, straddled on the tree. She sighed happily though as Thorleif walked her up to the viewing area. As she was lowered to the ground, Her form leaned heavily into her mate. It was over, she had wanted to give up yet she must have believed she'd be back with her family again. Then she heard a noise as the diamonds whizzed past the mountain. The stars were indeed falling as everyone gazed in adoration at them. Even the winged siblings were there to witness such a memory with the lemur mare. For a moment, Kimi smiled happily then she returned to watch the stars once again.
