Son of the Court of Clouds, Caelum Volans "The Celestial Octant" had grown up in the shadows of the Star Court albeit not under their direct rule. He was familiar enough with many of the young royal stars, half-sibling to some of them due to his mother's previous relationship. Though it was not something ever brought deliberately to the Court of Night's attention, but with the way rumors and gossip went around it was unlikely to be a true secret. Still, it had been quiet enough through his life that there had been no retaliation, and he had even had the opportunity to befriend some of his half-siblings and their kin.
Knowing so many of them, it was hard to look the other way when they began to go missing.
Frequently busy with his own responsibilities for the Court of Skies, Cae is the first to admit he doesn't have a hoof on the beating heart of every Court. Still, he has eyes and ears present in each one, and when something truly notable occurs, they get him the information as fast as they can.
The disappearance of a Crown Princess surely counts as something notable.
Though he could truly only claim to knowing her predominantly from a distance, Cae would not consider Elentári a flight risk. She had always struck him as one who was grounded, down to earth. Of course, when he began to investigate and found out that something had driven first Telumendil and then Ecthelion from the Court... hearing that Elentári was now also gone was less of a shock and more of a smoke signal. All was not well with his family, and if he wanted to solve this, he would need to go on a journey of his own. Starting with finding his sister, wherever they'd sent Mensa off to live.
"First, Dear Sister, let us see what has become of you, hm?"
