Prompt
The Setting/Build Up:

You are enjoying an exploring walk with a friend (who either cannot have wings or cannot carry something large) while you are enjoying the spectacular view from the top of a mountain or cliff. You are being careful, but sometimes things still happen. One moment you're walking by the side of your friend a few feet from the edge when the ground crumbles beneath you. When you come to, you hear your friend yelling your name. If you have wings, they are too damaged to fly. You're very disoriented, but you finally hear that your friend is yelling for you not to move. Then you see why. Somehow on your tumble down the cliff, you've been stopped (quite violenty) by a protruding tree or some shrubbery. How it's supporting you at all, is anyone's guess. If you move very much though it's not going to hold and you will fall to your death.

The Prompt:

Write an RP for the benchmark you are going for that explains your situation. You're there for hours. How hard is it not to move? How do you keep from moving? Does the branch start to give? What are you thinking about? How do you pass the time?

Or (if you're the friend) what do you do when you see your friend has fallen and by some miracle they still live. What do you do? What do you have to go through to get help? How far do you have to go? What do you come up with?

Your rp can use one or both of these prompts. Each RP should also conclude with how the soquili who's fallen is rescued. (Remember,if you have wings, they are out of commission. Your friend can't support your weight. It's going to take either a group to rescue you or some kind of inspired rescue by one or two friends.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

Healee and Wispin were walking through the woods together on their way to a spot where they hopefully could find some healthy mushrooms. It was always a guess if they were going to find any but the trip to the spot to maybe find them was nice and worth it. Even if they didn’t find any it would have been fun. It looked really nice in the woods this time of year and it was good these two friend were able to do some things together again. They had both been very busy and hadn’t seen each other in a while. Healee had been busy with medicine and collecting things rather far away and Wispin stayed here while mainly looking over the garden and fields. It was strange to not see each other for week as the used to be together a lot. Friends that were really hard to part and loved each other company. Today they had each company again and it was a beautiful and fun day.

Absolutely nothing could possibly go wrong today. Wispin ran a little forward with Healee following him. “Look” he said “There is a little edge there where you can look at the field futher away” it was a little steep there but he sure wasn’t going to close. He ran over and looked down. Okay he was going to say away from the edge as is was very deep there. “Wow, look at the view from here. Isn’t is just beautiful?” he asked Healee.

“Yes it is very beautiful down there” he replied while staying a little in the distance. He wasn’t afraid of hights and didn’t really know how deep it was as only Wispin had seen that be he didn’t trust the egde. He had a very strange and bad feeling about it. “The trees and field look great from here but please don’t go near the egde to much. The view is nice but it feels dangerous…” He nerviously blinked and swatted his ears walking a little back. Something just felt wrong somehow.

Wispin just laughed and answered “I won’t come to close I promise! Just enjoying the view and move on. We still need to get those mushrooms.” He happily trotted forward only thinking about finding the mushrooms and not thinking about the view or the egde anymore.

They both were walking pretty close to the egde now without realizing because they weren’t really paying much attention anymore. They followed it a whole while until the came at a part that seemed even deeper and Healee noticed that and quickly jumped back. This felt dangerous.

Wispin stared at this friend eyes wide with surprise. What had just happened? “Are – are you okay?” he asked a little concerned. Did something bite or sting him? He walked a little back while looking at this friend still surprised when he felt movement. What was going on? The realized really quickly that it was the ground that moved but before he could react everything felt strange and it all turned to black.

After a while he opened his eyes again and was very confused where was he? Did he fall asleep and was it all a dream. Why did everything hurt? Just as Wispin wondered where Healee was he heard a familiar voice shoot “DON”T MOVE! REALLY REALLY DON’T MOVE! PLEASE!!” Healee sounded scared and stressed and it al sounded very alarming. He then suddenly realized he was hanging from a tiny branch so tiny it shouldn’t be able to hold him. The was nothing under him but a really dark ravine and he probably wouldn’t survive falling in. He tried to hold as still as possible even trying to hold his breath for a while but that didn’t last long. He could feel the branch move. It would be long before he was going to fall down and Wispin wanted to panic but he also wanted to hold as still as possible.

“I’ll get help” Healee shouted “I’ll be back as quickly as possible.” He had a friend living nearby and he hoped to find him. With his help he would surely be able to save Wispin somehow. Healee panicked and cried and galloped away as fast as he could. He had never been this fast before. Not even when a shifter had chased him. He needed to help his friend and that branch could litaraly break andy second now and he would lose his best friend. "Please hold Please hold" he repeatedly cried to himself about the tiny branch. He wanted his friend back alive!

Wispin was still hanging on the tiny branch to scared to do anything. He didn’t know where Healee went but he was going to get help which was good but the branch wasn’t going to hold him for very long and that was not good. There was a big possibility that Healee wasn’t going to make in in time… Wispin stared down feeling sad. He really hoped it wasn’t going to end like that. At least Healee would remember his as a great friend. Right? One that didn’t always listen and went to close to an egde even after several warnings. Healee was right about being scared. He looked down again but this time he felt the branch move. So he held still again and didn’t feel anything now. At least not the branch moving but he realized now that he was in quite some pain. His legs and neck hurt and an spot on his back hurt too. He was lucky that he wasn’t hanging upside down. That would have made it move difficult not to move.

Healee was now really close to where he hoped to find his friend Bon-Bonne a friendly bunny looking horse he befriended some time ago. Bon-Bonne was lost and new and Healee had helped him and shown him around. He really hoped his newer friend would be able to help him back now. He as first was disappointed that he couldn’t see him anywhere and he needed him right NOW. But he soon heard a voice behind him say “Hey Healee, thank you for visiting. What brings you here today?”

Bon-Bonne nodded friendly and walked over to his friend. “Want some tea or something” he asked.

“No time for that” Healee said quickly “I really need help and please come with me now! We need to move. My friend Wispin is in very serious trouble”

Bon-Bonne was a little startled and Healee’s panicked reaction but understood immediately that this was about something dire. “Oh no! What happened? You told me about your friend Wispin before. Is he injured?” he wanted to help but he also wanted to know what happened.

My friend Wispin in hanging on a tiny branch above a huge ravine and he is going to fall all the way down if we don’t act fast! Healee started to panic again. What if he was already to late?

I have a rope we can use a really long one Bon-Bonne said. I’ll take this rock with me show me the way we are leaving now.

Healee galloped back at full speed where he had last seen his friend with Bon-Bonne following him as fast the other could. It took a while about half an hour and they reached the egde. Healee saw Wispin still hanging on the branch and was relieved.

Bon-Bonne looked down in shock as that did look very very dangerous and he realized the other down there must be very scared. The ground didn’t feel stable so they shouldn’t get to close to the egde themselves.

Wispin was starting to give up and felt him sliding away. He was not going to survive he thought when he heard movement above him. “I’m back with a friend he heard Healee shout. Try to grab the rope!” He felt the rope and tried to grab it and sort of tried to wrap it around him. He was going to be saved! After hours of waiting and thinking all was lost for him he was actually going to be saved. It hurt when he felt being lifted but he didn’t really mind. Anything was better than to keep hanging here. With the both of them Bon-Bonne and Healee the rock and the rope they managed to get him back to the ground above the egde.

Bon-Bonne carefully carried him a little futher away from the egde just to be save.

All three sighed of relieve as the one hanging from the branch was now save. "Hi, I’m Bon-Bonne a new friend of you best friend Healee and I’m happy I was able to save to. Pleased to meet you. I hoped to meet you in another way but I’m afraid this is it." Bon-Bonne said to introduce himself.

The only thing Wispin could say was thank you thank you! And you too Healee. You both saved my life today. From now on we will be 3 best friends! And I promise for real this time to never ever come close to an egde like that ever again. With that the three of them went to Bon-Bonne’s home as it was the closest and Wispin needed to rest. They all trotted away with Wispin being a bit slower as he was still sore but also happy to still be there. He had been stupid and never found that mushroom he wanted but he had found a new friend and was save again. END
