Domacridhan Strong felt uneasy just thinking about the events that occurred on Halloween. It had been several weeks, but still...it, no they made his blood run cold. "You see," he spoke slowly and deliberately. "That was the night I met the Casquette's among others. I had gotten lost and been lost for awhile when I came across this graveyard..."
He had gotten off-course on his pilgramage to the Sushi Clan's private little beach. Way off course, because now he was in the middle of a large patch of trees. He just needed to make it clear to try to figure out where he was. When the trees finally broke though there was a large sprawling cemetary.
The trees around it were bare, but those in the graveyard were vibrant and green with life. They must get good nutrients...He paused in that thought, not wanting to think on what the trees and such might be feeding on.
There was a large wrought iron arch with the name of the place. Bonaventure. He'd never heard of it before. He walked in and looked around until he came across the masoleum. The big granite door was open. Taking a deep breath he stepped into the darkness only to discover a room filled with lights. Before he'd had time to call out to see if anyone was there, she had appeared. Blue with bone markings and pink hair. She had a long curving tail and a large horn. There was something eerie about her smile to him before she spoke. It was all teeth.

Bastianna Casquette du Cimetière was surprised to have a visitor. Usually, anyone that came by had an appointment or at least a certain look to them. This one did not. He looked too... She smiled, showing all her teeth as she spoke. "Mon chéri, what good fortunes bring you here today. Using her horn, she summoned a lantern to from across the room to sit beside her on the floor.
Her words seem to make him uneasy. He mumbled quite a bit before he finally got out that he was lost. So, just another fool on the wrong path. Outside the heavens opened up and poured forth rain as thunder rolled. The crack of lightning in the air was a tangible, almost a metalic taste on the tongue. "You will, of course, stay the night mon chéri? We cannot allow you back out on a night like this." She smiled a bit more. To have him stay was an inconvience, but to put him out in weather like this would be suspect. And their bussiness was run on being somewhat unknown and very discreet.
The stallion tried to make his apologies for barging, saying that he would leave. But no, that would not do. "It is no trouble at all," she lied. It was actually the height of trouble seeiing as how they were dealng with a very special client indeed."Sabine!" She called out to her sister. "My sister should be able to show you to a room then later Kirke will bring you some food. "Sabine, the nice gentleman, needs to stay the night. We are to give him a restful night sleep before he is on his way, no?" She smiled at them both as she herded him along.
(291) Sabine, Kirke, Marcellus at night, accidental blood taking, something weird happening, did you find out?

Sabine Casquette de Déluge looked at her sster Bastianna a thogh she had lost her mind completely. "Tonight? Quiet night, tonight?" Of course Bastianna had just smiled at her and told her not to be silly. As if having company tonight was a good idea. How were they ever-
She came back to the present and grumbled a bit aas she moved her way down the halls of the masoleum. THey had been carefully planning tonight's events for weeks, only for this fool to stumble upon them at the last minute? Fate could be wretched when she wanted to be.
Opening the door to the room, she showed Domicridhan in. "Sorry that it's not better equiped, we don't usually have vistors. Except," she took sudden inspiration. If it would keep him in his room it would serve well and if not, it would be funny as hell. "Well, we do have visitors, but not the kind that reqquire rooms, mon ami. The spirits like to come alive at night and have their say, even we they don't particularly have anything to say. I guess, it is just the way of it. Restless souls and all that."
She could see him paling at what she said. Good, it was rude to interupt carefully laid plans of others. "I will leave you to get comfortable, Kirke will bring you anything else you need. Good night," she made a little bow then exited. For a few minutes, she waited outside of the room to make sure that he didn't leave to go wandering.

Lasciate Ogni Sperenza Kirkegård was excited! It was so rare to have anyone over. It felt a little like a sleep over. But then she quicily lost her enthusiam when she realized that because of the thing that was happening that she wouldn't be able to show off her lovely gardens. Bastianna was adamant that he hed to be kept from leaving his room until morning. They didn't need the attention it would gather if he went off spouting his mouth about things that did not concern him.
When she found him, the chamber door was open and he was pushing some hay closer together to make a more domfrotable bed. "Hey, I'm Kirke is there anything that you might need? Of course he said not, trying to be polite. "Really it's no trouble," she said. Again he told her that he really didn't need anything. "I am sure there is something you need mon cheri. You have just come in from the cold and wet. You did not look as though you had prepared for a long journey. I do not think you intended to wind up in a graveyard, did you?" He did finally agree that he could use some food.
Leaving the room, she went down to her gardens to pick out some fresh food for their visitor He seemed the curious sort, which was not good. She loved her family- Bastianna had taken her in as a foal and raised her. The Casquette's were her family. She loved them dearly, but sometimes she did not love what they did in the dark. Kirke knew in her heart that what they did was probably not considered good, but they had always been good to her. She had never been treated different. She was one of them, she just usually minded her own busissness. But when Bastianna had asked her to help feed the stranger and help to keep him from wandering she had jumped at it. She did not want him to see the things they did or think any lesser of them or her. It would be best that he stayed in his room.
Her iittle raccoon familiar handed her the herbs she asked for. Carefully she steeped the chamoile and valerian root into the tea. It should be strong enough to help him sleep and keep him out of trouble.
She went back to the room and gave him his food while her familiar brough in the cup. "Here, mon cher, to help warm you up. It will did you a world of good."
Kirke watched the stallion as he drank the brew down, and then carried on a conversation wth him until he began to nod off as he spoke. She wished him a silent good night and closed the door.

Marcellus Casquette du Sang was not happy with his sister Bastianna's choice to let the stranger stay the night. There was too much that could go wrong. He could see something that he was not supposed to and then...well he could not, He had warned Bastianna what they might have to do but she had asssured him that even if he left his room he would not be a problem. The problem was that he was here.
But then it had occurred to him that the stranger could be of some use. He needed some fresh blood for his rituals. With whatever brew Kirke had been told to give him, he knew that the stranger would not mind a little blood donation. But perhaps, it would be better not to ask him and just take it. How was it said? Better to beg for forgiveness than ask for forgiveness? Yes, that was it. He needed to get a sign of that and adopt it as his own personal motto.
Marcellus laughed at his own clever joke before getting his kit together. Carefully, he left his subterrianian room and made his way up the stairs and down the long hall until he reached the visitor's room. He could hear him snoring from out here. It would only take a moment to ease the door open then use his lancet to get blood. The stallion would never know.
It would just be a small donation to mix with mortal remains of the last client they were given. Then without telling Kirke he would sneak into one of her little gardens and add the potent compost. It would help her plants that he needed to be more effective, especially in the little rituals he planned. What she did not know would not hurt her.
The door slid open silently and he took his little lancet out to take the blood from the stallion. Unconsciously, he must have said something about bodies or blood or buried that made the stallion startle awake. For a moment they looked each other in the eye and then hte stallion snored again before his eyes had even closed.
Good. He stoppered the vial of blood and went back to his domain.

Edumun'ds eyes went round with shock as Domicridhan finished his story. "Are you sure you heard him say corpse?" It was a fantastical story, but Dom never lied so it had to be true. Dom had then told him how the next time he'd woken up, he'd stumbled down the halls until he found an entrande. Then he had gone through the woods in a semi-lucid state of horror.
Edmund shivered when Dom told him that's all he could remember, that not even the location would come to mind.
"Dom, I think they were going to kill you," Edmund said seriously. Dom had just given him a deapand stare. Okay. well to be fair Dom had probably figured that part out and he didn't have to say it.
For awhile longer they sat around the fire, the cold wind blowing the leaves around them into a chaotic dance. Edmund shivered again but it was not entirely from the cold. Something bothered him about the story, ssomething more than the ordinary. It niggled at his mind. Going to bed, he tossed and turned for hours. Then just as he was about to fall asleep, he remembered. His breathing stilled for a moment, then his body started to shake all over as he woke Dom up. "Dom, Dom! When did you say this all happened?"
Dom hadn't been happy to wake up, but Edmund kept prodding him. "Dom, it's important. I need to know when." It was like he was trying to pull Dom's teeth but he finally got the date from him.
"I know what happened," Edmund whispered ominously. Dom had jsut rolled his eyes at first until he heard the rest. "Remeber that kalona Xaxier? The one from the herd over west of here?" Dom had kind of nodded, but as Edmund spoke the last words he woke all the way up. "The night you were there, that's when that kalona went missing. Do you think....that's the body he meant?"
It became impossible to sleep again.
