(Sena is a younger teenager at the canon timeline of this RP. Cameo from Kaia )

Sena’s eyes shot open with excitement, her body wiggling underneath her thick fur blanket. Today was the day! Mom was home! Mom was hommmmee!

And with mom coming home, there were always new and exciting souvenirs to enjoy hehe.

Kicking off her blanket, she struggled to lift herself up onto her shaky legs. She looked more like a newborn foal with her petite size and thin gangly legs that seemed to want to give out from under her at any moment rather than nearly the adolescent teenager that she actually was. “Ugh! This is not the day to have a bad leg day!” she thought to herself angrily.

She would not let her dumb body and its dumber problems stop her from seeing what new toys and wonders she had waiting for her!

Sucking in a deep breath Sena’s brows knitted tightly together in determination as she pushed forward one hard-earned step at a time. One hoof right in front of the other, just like that, just a little more…! Almost there!

“Mommmm? Daaaaaadddy? Sis?” She called out, peering around the brightly decorated main living area of her family’s cave home. “Anyone?” Curiously, she meeked out as she circled the large stone table that sat in the center of the room. Mom had clearly already made it back early this morning as expected. Her colorful traveling satchel was flopped onto the table, along with a number of pouches she had seen her mom strap to her legs before an expedition that were filled with various specialty tools needed for her archeological studies all of them had been deemed strictly off-limits for both of the young foals to touch because of how delicate and expensive they were to have crafted.

Huh, no one was home. Man, she must have really overslept this morning. Did they go out to get breakfast to bring back? Orrrr perhaps to go for a quick bath in the hot springs? Mom always liked taking long baths after coming back home to wash off the caked-on grime and dust from the road. Either way, it would probably be a little while before anyone was back home, leaving Sena free to explore and keep herself entertained.

Which means....

Her face twisted in an impish grin, her tail feathers fluffing out and shaking with excitement as a wicked thought crossed her mind. If no one was home to see her, she couldn’t get in trouble for playing with mom’s tools as long as she put them back before anyone got home. Right?

Letting out a soft cackle to herself, she leaned against the table, her nose poking and prodding the different satchels to open them up one by one.

A wooden pick, a brush made out of hair it looks like, some string…..BORING!

“That’s it…? We couldn’t play with any of this stuff?” Grumbling in disappointment, her blackened eyes scanned over her mischievous haul until a colorful, unopened bag caught her little eye. Mom’s backpack! Surely there’s something hidden that’s better in there! The moment her mouth wrapped around the leather bag to drag it closer to her a sharp pain stabbed her nose and lips and two cries rang out in the living room.

One, a whinny of pain from a young child.

The other a loud…meow?

“What the frick!!!” Sena cried out, lifting her front leg to rub her now bleeding nose.

Unbeknownst to her, a very spikey green feline crawled out of the bag and stared, bewildered by the cursing filly but in awe at the same time. With another small mew, the cactus cat jumped down from its perch on the table, making its way to rub painfully against Sena’s legs in an act of affection - and to get her attention!

“OW! What the- Oh. Um…hi there.” Sena blinked owlishly as she stared at the strange feline that was once again making it’s way over to her to rub itself against her legs. “Owowow. Ho-hold on! Let’s just…” Pausing a moment, she lowered her head to rub her nose against the only non-spiked part of the feline’s body by booping noses together.

A spark of affection - and mild static shock - lit between the two once their noses touched. With a high-pitched squeal of delight, Sena beamed a smile at her new friend.

“I’m Ankhesenamun! Are you coming to live with us now?” She asked excitedly, her head wings flapping in excitement. “Ohhhh! This is going to be great. We’ve never had a cactus before! Or well a cat either…though mom says big cat people are bad and she doesn’t like them. But you’re both? Neither? I dunno! But you’re neato!” Flopping down on the ground, she watched as her new friend got distracted and began playing with one of her tail feathers. “You like them, don’t you? I got lots of them! They fall off a lot so you can have them. What are we going to name you tho-”

“SENA! WE’RE HOME!”

Yelping in surprise, Sena jumped to her feet before immediately flopping back to the ground her legs giving out from under her.

OHNOOHNOOHNO!!! They were back so much quicker than she expected! Mom’s tools!! She had gotten so distracted with the cat that she had forgotten to put them back! Ahhhhh!

“Kitty help meeeee!” She pleaded as she tried desperately to lift herself back up to hide her crimes.

“Help you with what…?” A soft, tender voice rang out from the entrance of the room. Her mother, stood tall and amused with a cocked eyebrow as she took in the scene before her. “Getting yourself out of trouble missy? I’m afraid they’re not going to be able to help with the grounding you’re going to have once you clean all of this mess up and eat your breakfast.”

Sigh. Busted. There was no escape now.

Sena might have earned herself a punishment that day, but she also earned herself a lifelong friend and one who would be able to keep her company through her hardships ahead.

It was the start of one beautiful - albeit prickly - friendship.

Ah, what another glorious morning in an undiscovered tomb. On the horizon was a day full of discovery and excitement of finding new artifacts, mapping out the elaborate maze of passages and tunnels, and cataloging the various paintings and carvings decorating the walls. And of course, a quick lunch break for herself. It might be a very sand and dust-filled lunch, but it would give her the carbohydrates to continue working late into the night until her candles could burn no longer!

Truly, there was nothing better than being knee-deep in the mystery of a long-lost tomb and being the first to painstakingly unravel all of its secrets to share them with the world finally. Yep, her luck had been going fantastic so far, with very few booby traps and collapsed passages. Kaia could even dare to say that this expedition was going…smoothly! Now, packed up with her gear and supplies she was ready to jump into another exciting day of discovery.

Alas, she put her hoof in her mouth with the “smooth” bit.

Kaia’s guard had lowered after she had had such a challenge-free time in the tomb so far. She had failed to notice the crack in the stone slabs that had formed overnight just a few feet away from the entrance. Stepping right on the crack, all she had time to do to react to the stone crumbling beneath her body was swivel her ears forward and let out a yelp as she went tumbling into the darkness below.

Ow…owwwwww..owwwwwwowowow. Yeeeesssh! Okay sound off, post-fall health check!

Bones? Well, none felt broken at least. Teeth? Still in place? She didn’t feel like she was bleeding anywhere sooo…good. Okay good, she was still left mostly intact - if not just for wounded pride. Time to see exactly what she had fallen into! Shaking off the dust from her mane Kaia groaned as she curiously peered around the room. immediately, her eyes widened, and a slow ear-to-ear grin formed on her face at the wondrous sight before her.

Oh…my…gods….JACKPOT!

Kaia had fallen smack dab into an archeologist’s wet dream with a completely untouched treasure death hoard. Golden spears, dinnerwear, chests, gems, statues, coins, urns, glass vases, and even perfectly preserved pelts of large cats hanging on the wall. In the center lay a giant elaborately decorated coffin for what she would assume was a two-legger.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! She couldn’t believe her eyes. This was so much more than she could ever imagine lying inside this tomb! Previously, her colleagues had logged most of the passages and rooms, but…this still had even the original seal left on the doors! She was the first one in who knows how long to feast her eyes on this wondrous hoard of knowledge and lost culture. It would take her and her team weeks to excavate and log all of the treasure here!

Well, they now had a lot of work ahead of them, and there was no time like the present. Consider this expedition EXTENDED!

One last one let's gooo

Bam's Dagger

If you roll a 1: The curse winds up being more of you cursing at whoever did this to you. You can't do anything right. Everything you try to do goes wrong, often in hilarious ways.
If you roll a 2: The curse is deadly. You have to find a way to neutralize the dagger. How?
If you roll a 3: The dagger is actually a draining dagger, which means your breed gifts are slowly being nullified (a flutter would be unable to shrink, a unicorn to heal). Only an unselfish act can neutralize it.
