In the center of the graveyard there is a neatly placed circle of crypts that appear to be little houses. There are twelve of these, each with a heavy metal door that faces the center of the circle, the pavement of which is covered in special stone carvings perhaps a centimeter deep. This is well known as the Mayfair Clock.

Vampires don't sleep in this cemetery, save for Sleet's coven in a crypt on the edge of the graveyard(special circumstances). If anyone feels compelled to make one that the other vampires reside in feel free to do so, but no vampire can sleep on the ground that witches are buried in, especially the Mayfair witches.

As the night fog rolled in on the dead grass that scattered the graveyard, a dark figure appeared as a swarm of bats passed though. The dark figure seemed to only be half a man but the bats circled around and formed the rest of him. His eyes glistened in the moonlight and his fangs where well hidden but ether way his presence as a vampire was still known to all.

Antha and Malakai Mayfair stood in the center of the graveyard, surrounded by a neatly placed circle of crypts that appeared to be morbid little houses. There were twelve of these, each with a heavy and very ornate metal door that faced the center of the circle, the pavement of which was covered in special stone carvings perhaps a centimeter deep. They stood before the one positioned where the 5 would be on a clock, the tomb their mother's remains were laid to rest in.

As Sanoske smelled the air around him, he seemed to smell a scent that reminded him of something long forgotten he shruged it off and headed towards it with his hands in his pockets and his head slightly tilted down. His feet could not be heard but instead the flaping of small wings, for his feet moved as to walk but never touched the floor for he had sprouted small wings to hold him up.

With a slight shiver Malakai looked to the bare trees and the crows nested in them. He didn't like the feel of a graveyard at night.
"Antha, can't we go home now?" he asked softly, tugging on her arm slightly. But Antha, always the occultist witch, was busy lighting incense and setting a goblet before the crude metal door. She pulled from hr pocket a folded piece of paper and quickly flattened it out against the ground before sliding it under the goblet and lighting it at all four corners. Whatever it was, it burned slowly. And as Malakai looked at this he felt the urge to look into the goblet, seeing only a dark, thick liquid in it that he didn't even want to know the identity of.

volusia fished in her purse for a small gold coin, and with a triumphant smile she drew it out. it was well handled. it glinted in the pale moonlight. she pulled the end of a long black ribbon through a tiny hole in the center. looking at the coin closely she shifted the placement of the ribbon. satisfied, she tied a small knot and slid it into her pocket. volusia could see the headstones in the distance, moolight glinting off of them like waves in the ocean.

Antha laughed lightly at Malakai's revulsion, but never did she take her eyes off of the goblet and the flames. And from her stocking suddenly she drew a razor. "Give me yor hand," she said to Malakai, a flat out demand rather than a plea for permission. He was slow to offer it, but she paid no mind, only grabbe dat his wrist and quickly slashed the palm of his hand so that a bood x formed there. She let this blood drop into the goblet, scorching his hand almost, adn then repeated this process with her own hand. It seemed it didn't take another second for the fire to engulf the goblet, tarnishing the metal so that it was merely a dull black thing sitting amid dancing flames with a slight glint of metallic color washing down from the rim of the cup.

"ah, but isn't meeting bittersweet?" she muttered to herself. volusia recognised antha through the crypts, but not the man with her. rolling her eyes, volusia headed to a seporate end of the graveyard. under a bare tree there was a small square headstone. climbing on top of it, she looked around and closed her eyes. the air had an almost tangeable feel to it, not wholly unfirmilliar. volusia crossed her legs and pushed her hair out of her face. the gold coin was still centered perfectly on the ribbon. she held the end of the ribbon out at arms lengthand begun to spin it slowly with her fingertips. she focused on her breathing pattern complementing the spinning of the coin. the figure on the coin began to become more distinct as she focused harder.

Malakai gently rubbed the back of his arms, glad for the flames but mentally chilled by them. His eyes darted around in a paranoid fashion, much as if he sensed something near to them that shouldn't be. Meanwhile, Antha laughed wickedly as she stared at the flames, the perfect witch's laughter. Quickly he squeezed her shoulder to silence her, but it was a slow process for her.

volusia focused on the coin more closely. the odd quality of the air kept itself at the back of her mind, gently nagging at her attention. she tried to wave the thought away, but it was of little use. the coin had little to nothing important to say tonight, and she could hear antha in the distance. she closed her eyes and murmered into the wind. the air seemed thicker than ever when she opened her eyes. scowling, she bounced off of her headstone and stuck the coin and ribbon in her little purse. glancing at the pocket watch it read fairl early in the evening for her, she sighed and walked torwards the gate of the graveyard.

When the flames had collapsd upon themselves adn al that was left was teh tarnished goblet and gleaming dark substance, Antha gently lifted it and held it up as if in ofering to the moon. A thin smile was on her lips, the one that always struck fear in Mlakai's heart. "Rest well, mother," she said softly, speaking to the goblet it seemed, "For the ritual is done." With that she put the goblet ot he lips and let the liquid flood into her mouth. She drank heavily for a few long moments and then handed it to Malakai, her blood stained lips still smiling.

reaching the gothic, wrought iron gate, she turned and smiled up at the moon. her hand slid around one of the bars and she leaned on it. volusia just clung to the pole, gazing up at the moon, her big eyes glassy. the light reflected off of her eyes like mirrors.

Sanoske had been watching the ritual unfold. He grinned lightly as he saw the blood being drank, he wondered what kind of blood it was. Was it human, witch, or vampire. He had pulled the small wings that propelled him forward into his body when he got in the tree to watch.

Malakai went rigid as the blood spilled into his mouth, but for the sake of tradition and superstition, he didn't draw away or throw the piece of metal to the ground as he would have liked to. Antha let forth another little stream of mad laughter then genially toook the goblet form him when he pushed it towards her.
"We're being watched," he said softly to her as if he had only just realized it.
Antha laughed the slightest bit at this and leaned in so that her forehead almost touched his. "Oh, I feel them ducky. There are two of them, you know. And if one saw anything, you'll have to go home and deal with the fear of it leaking out frrom her mouth, right there under your own roof!" Again she laughed, though Malakai was rigid with fear. Things as this were not held with such high regard as they had been in the past.

volusia resisted the urge to howl at the moon. she laughed gayly and sat on the ground. no, she wouldn't go home immediatly tonight. she'd go and run around the fields, terrorizing the livestock. but the air still clung to her, and her mood darkened, if only very slightly. so she grinned at the moon and purred.
