For all you people who don't know what Dia de los Muerto's means, I'll tell you.

It means: Day of the Dead. It is close to the Mexican holiday. It will be from Oct. 29 - Nov. 1 Has anyone besides me actually ever even heard of this holiday?

It's not really about that. It's about honoring the dead people's lives.

Yes, I've heard about that holiday before. I watched a video about it in my spanish class last year. Family members usually go to the graves and decorate them and then stay around to bless them.

They also make an alter in their house and put a wide variety of food around it. It is belived that the dead come back to eat the food in spirit. They also place memorable photos and many flowers around it. 3nodding

I'd like to see what people do on these days. My teacher said that it was a celebration of peoples lives. But there is probably a lot of drunk people there too. But hey, it is a holiday.

well, here in L.A. people will celebrate the hoilday with parties and parades. there will be lots of food and activities for the kids. there will also be bands playing on the streets. it'll be like a block party for the community where everyone will come down to celebrate.

my mom she likes to put up her altar for all our relatives that have passed away. she'll put food and candy and drinks. all kinds of stuff. sometimes she'll have the family come over and they'll pray and do rosaries. stuff like that.
