3/23 - The poetry contest was extended over the weekend, roleplaying will reopen soon. We have a permenant player for James, and Mistril has decided to play Narcissa, YEY! There's still the weekend to write your sorting hat poems, so you should check that thread out!
3/14 - We're doing the Sorting through a poetry contest, which we'd like to hold annually every HP year we start. Because we decided to do this late, we're going to have to put the roleplaying on hold for no more than a week till we finish the contest. Sorry for the inconvenience but this won't happen next year 8F SO! Go check out the contest thread in the main forum.
I've also added an Events section to the main thread, I'd like to be holding many more contests so if you have any ideas for events please let us know! Hearts and Jrock have kindly donated their mule for our Thread to be used for donations and event funds. For information on how to donate, please see the Event section of this thread.

Description; Sirius is fifteen years old and of average height (around 5’11”). He has a lean, lithe build and a very noble presence. His shiny black hair and keen grey eyes make him the object of many girls’ fascinations. He dresses in a very fashion-forward manner, partly because he is used to being scrutinized by his family members, and partly because of his own vanity.
Personality; Sirius’ almost silly attitude belies the fact that he is actually an intellectual. Usually the one to propose a prank, Sirius doesn’t really think of the consequences of his actions. Since he was raised in nobility until the age of fifteen, he has shown some of the same prejudices and tastes of his more well-to-do peers, try though he may to hide them. Ultimately, however, Sirius’ need for the constant attention and adoration of his peers stems from his need to make them happy. His friends are the only family he has left, and any chance he gets to entertain them is one he will take, no matter the consequences.

Description; Remus has a kind of stature that reflected his humble and kind demeanor. With a mop of strewn bangs of sandy blond falling haphazardly into his amber-colored eyes, and a pale and slightly peaky complexion, he looked completely ordinary. However, old scars scratched across his soft features and hidden beneath robes hid an accident from his childhood that remained a secret except to his three closest friends and a few staff members.
Personality; Remus is kindhearted and quiet. When he is not chatting with his three best friends, he is more than likely reading or studying, which earned him his Prefect's Badge. He is a well-rounded person despite the terrors in his past; he is understanding and others before himself.

Personality;Peter is a timid boy who tags along with James, Sirius, and Remus. He aspires to be just like them. He's the oddball of the group. Everyone knows him as Remus, Sirius, and James' tag-along. Unlike his friends, Peter is rather plain looking and he is fully aware of this. It's because of this self-consciousness that Peter doesn't mingle with the other students. Peter is probably the most reliable in the group, as he'll do anything the boys ask of him.

Personality; Arthur is a lovably eccentric character. He is kind, gentle and naturally easy-going, which makes him quite amicable, even though his love for muggle items is strange. He has no problem making and keeping friends, and, indeed has a lot of them. Arthur is attracted to anything that is muggle-made, and can sometimes be caught taking to muggle-borns, discussing their daily lives out of Hogwarts.

Personality: Bluntly put, Gilderoy is very vain. He is constantly fusing about his image, often seen throwing minor tantrums when one lock of hair is out of place.

Staff position (if applicable); I haven't found any indication to support that he was ever Prefect or Head Boy so I'm going to go with 'neither'.
Description; Lucius Malfoy has extremely light blonde to white hair and a pale, pointed face with cold, grey eyes. At this particular point in time, being his seventh-year, I imagine his slender form has filled out some, leaving him, while still slender, a bit more robust than we see his son in the movies and the books. Generally seen wearing the Hogwarts Robes in the colours of his House (that being Slytherin, of course). Fanart varies on the topic of his hair, and since I've found no mention of him as a youth in the books yet, I'll go with 'long enough to be pulled back in a courtly manner, and tied with a ribbon'. Probably black. It's more neutral than the green, after all.
Personality; Appears cool, calm and collected for the most part. Is a bit spoiled and when he wants something, will want it now. He's quite good at coming up with tactics and whatnot, but works better behind the scenes than at the forefront as he tends to become annoyed when people don't do as he pleases, or things go fantastically wrong and, well, he does have a bit of a temper.
Wand; Blame iheartjrock for this one. Lucius' wand is made of Macassar Ebony, is apparently 15 1/4 inches long with the essence of unicorn. Well, just because it's unlikely doesn't mean it isn't a pimp-wand.. It might be a bit long compared to the other people's wands, though? So let me know if that needs changing.

Personality; Professor McGonagall takes charge when teaching her class and when fulfilling her duties as Deputy Headmistress. She is not one to act foolish around, for she will without a doubt take away House points or willing give out detentions, even to those in her own House. She takes her job seriously, however this hinders people's perceptions of her and most students dread going to her lessons.

His voice is low and greatly resembles a growl and he walks with a slight limp due to a bad accident in his thirties when he was run over by a pack of rampaging Hippogriffs.
Personality; While Professor Kettleburn enjoys teaching all of the little boys and girls about magical creatures, his patience is almost nonexistent and has been known to have quite the temper amongst his students and pupils. However, on a good day Professor Kettleburn does enjoy telling anyone who questions about some of his escapades abroad while studying as well as engaging in sick humor.
