Citadel to the Gods

Every Elf has a right to pray to the gods and goddess every now and again.
The citadel is located just east of the forest and was built out of a small moution. Here you will find every type of elven god to pray to.

Carroe was glad to finally be back at the temple again. As they walked up the steps, a horn sounded, and guards with spears lined up, and saluted them on their way to the gate. Then, the gate opened, and people started pointing at him, and cheering. Some who still knew it, chanted the prayer to him, "Praise be to Carroe the Drow, who helped our father and was welcomed for ever more." He waved at people, and smiled as they entered the courtyard, and were greeted by the father. he couldn't believe he was still here. Carroe walked up to him, and they hugged. "It's good to see you old friend. May my friends and I get something to eat? We had a long travel, and are hungry." The father nodded, still smiling, and herded them inside, and to the dining room.

Astrid and amity looked at Each other then around a little confused at what was going on and how so many people knew Carroe. They both cursed when the father came forward and spoke. "No need me and my Daughter just wish to pray to the gods have a room to rest before we carry on" Astrid said. What was between him and Carroe where not her and Amity's business. "Also may I speak with one of your High priestess?" amity asked.

Carroe smiled at Amity and Astrid, and then looked to the father. He smiled brightly at Carroe, then motioned, and an escort came for Astrid and Amity right away, out of the crowed. "Ge ahead, and follow Miss Nicole, and she will lead you where you want to be. When you want to get to the room, she will lead you all the way up to the top floor to it." He smiled, bowed, and everyone around them bowed with him to Amity and Astrid, then he and the father stepped into the dining room where a feast was already being brought out.

Astrid and Amity cursted to them both before they followed Nicole to where they could pray. The prayed and showed respect to the gods before Astrid went to the room to rest and amity went to talk to the high priestesses. They talked as they walked around the the priestesses was very shock that some one so young knew so much about all the types of elves and there langue. She told Amity that is she wanted to could stay at the temple and learn to be a high priestess. That made amity happy but she said she would think about it. Nodding the priestess let her head off to her room.

"I could be here and helping but that means leaving mother and the inn"amity said as she got to the room. Opening it she found her mother sitting at a table sipping tea and writing a letter. "How was your talk sweet pea" Astrid asked. "I have some things to think about" Amity said going to join her for tea, "Writing Maefrost? " Astrid just nodded and sipped some more tea.

Carroe walked in just then, and smiled brightly at them as he closed the door, and the roar of talk and cheers was closed out. He made his way over to the huge table, and sat beside Amity. "Geeze, with the way they treat me, praise me, and feed me, you would think they look at me as if I am one of their gods." Then, he sighed as Lillianna hoped from his right shoulder to Amity's left shoulder. This made him smile again. "She really likes you. I can't say I don't agree with her though. You should check out the pool in the other room, with the hot tub. Their both huge, and feel amazing. I'm going to jump in the hot tub myself, and relax." He stood, and as he made his way to the room, pulled a bottle of red wine of the bar before the doors. Then, with his other hand, he opened the double doors, and walked into the room.

Amity smiled at him then Lillianna. Breaking a cookie in two she gave a piece to Lillianna before going back to listening to Carroe. she just smiled and giggled as her mother sipped her tea. "Enjoy your self" Amity and Astrid said. They where not ones for hot water they could handle warm and that was it. "His a odd Drow that is for sure" Amity said getting to her feet. "amity" Astrid said looking at her. "what its true but he is nice and fun to talk too" amity said. Going to her mother she gave her a kiss on the head before going out on the balcony to look out over the land. She enjoyed the sight as she rufffed Lillianna's feather. "dose you master ..know any one?" she asked. she felt odd asking the bird but she did not know any one else that knew him.

Carroe had pulled his cloak off, and got into the hot tub in his shorts. He sat down, then lay his head back and relaxed. This was just what he needed. After a few minutes, he got out, and dove into the huge, ice cold pool, and began swimming laps.
Lillianna looked into Amity's eyes, and then spoke in a soft, gentle, and sweet female voice. "Carroe knows lots of people. There's just not many he's close to. The only person he talks about usually is his sister Nialla. He loves her dearly, and feels like she's the only Drow he can truely trust, even out of his large family." Then, Lillianna looked up at the stars and ruffled her wings.

Amity epped and tripped over her feet and fall to the ground with a owww. "You can talk?" Amity said looking up at Lillianna. She had read that some animals and great beast had the power to talk but she never thought she would have meet one right away. She did not knew what to say or do but to just star at her. By the time she got to her feet her mother had gone to her room and Amity was smiling. "How old are you? Do you know of other that can talk like you?" she asked. she had total forget about her question about Carroe for now.

Carroe was still swimming laps.
Lillianna cawed as Amity fell, but then looked her in the eyes again. "Yes, there are quite a few of us, but we can only attach ourselves to a Drow. I'm what you would call a spirit guide. The Drow are lucky enough that they can take their spirit guide wherever they want, and keep them with them. Other races can only call on theirs when they need them the most. We spirit guides of the Drow are lucky enough to have enough magical ability around us that we pick up language. Sorry for frightening you. Oh, and please don't let Carroe know I told you about his sister, and family. It's hard being a high born... oops... I said too much now."

Amity could not believe it her she was talking to a real spirit guide and she was so over willmed. There was so much she wanted to ask and now but when she brought up Carroe amity nodded. "I swear on the goddess her self I will not say a word." she said smiling, "but thank you for telling me..I was worried that he was all alone, but now I know he has you and family." She gave Lillianna another half of the cookie before heading back in. Looking around it seemed her mother headed to her room all read. Going to her's she change in to gift from her anut which was a white seal skin swim suit. Headin to the pool she blushed as she saw Carroe doing laps and slipped in to the nice cool water.

Lillianna jumped from her shoulder as she stepped into the pool, and flew over and perched on a table beside the hot tub. Carroe finished his lap, and looked over at Amity and smiled as he moved toward her. "I swear you are the most beutifull girl i've ever met. You are just as beutiful as my sister Nialla." Then, he realized he told her about his sister, and frowned. But couldn't keep the frown on his face when he looked into her eyes. "i really miss her, but i couldn't stay at home. It's too dangerous there, and she's the only one I trust." His muscles were all toned and cut, and weren't so tense anymore.

Amity blushed more and looked away. she never thought of her self as beautiful. she was normal ...though the scar over her eye made her think less. "Thank you for saying so but I am not" she said in a modest voice as she began to swim away from him, "I am sure your sister misses you greatly and I am sure she is thinking about you like you are here." She had promised Lillianna that she was not going to say anything and she was going to let Carroe tell her about his family when he was ready. For now she was just going to enjoy swimming. she was a great swimmer thanks to leaving on the island.

Carroe caught up with her, and swam beside her. "That's not true. You are exquisitely beutiful." Then, he made a choice he didn't like, but did it anyway to prove it to her. "Amity, back home, I am of noble blood. That's why it's dangerous for me. People there want to be in my family position, and would kill my family to do it. But what I wanted to point out is that me being of noble blood, I have been given many offers of girls at home to marry, but none of them interested, or were beutifull to me. They were all plain." Then, he looked her in the eyes. "You, on the other hand, are the most beutifull girl I have ever seen, and you remind me a little of my sister with how sweet, and beutifull you are. I wish you could meet her."
