Well to be a good anime or manga you need good art, and there are alot of good ones out there, but if you had to choose one to be the best what would it be?
Specify the details: Title, Why you like it, why its good, genre.
*example*
Title: Ruroni Kenshin
Why I like it: The story line never strays, historical, different yet great characters.
Why its good: The illustrations are filled with very fine detail, and had great effort put into it, and the anatomy and clothes are properly displayed.
Genre: Action/Historic
Then go on saying good things about it.....

Title:Fruits Basket
Why I like it: It's a cute romance, and it's very complicated in a good way. it keeps you reading.
Why it's good:the characters are well drawn, well explained over a long period of time, and the storyline is well planned.
Genre:Romance/Comedy
I really like it, and i've been reading it for awhile. I'm now awaiting book 17 of it.

Title: Demon diary
Why I like it: It shows the battles to become something you may not be from the start, and the quick changing of personalities...and the learning to adapt to new things
Why its good: its very very skilled...and pretty, but because the artists change in the middle of the series you can see how one can conponsate to make it even better ^^
Genre: fantasy

To tell the truth, I can't really say. Though my personal favs. seem to be Naruto and Fruits Basket.
Naruto cause:
*The story line is AWESOME and is really deep
*The characters are almost life-like with theyr own personalities and histories.
*The art ROCKS!
Fruits Basket:
*Cool Art
*Cute, romantic, but funny plot
*Complicated in a good way to keep you wanting to see what happens net.
I also am a fan of Suzuka, it's so cute and also has great art.

i .like to pay attention to both because story lines are great...they help me try to figure out how to transition into different chapters when attempting to write my own story...and the art inspires me to draw better

Why I like it: Because they all have some funny things in them. All of them have depressing parts and sometimes depressing endings.
Why its good: The art is the best I've ever seen. The plots are great. I can always say good things about Yuu Watase mangas.
Genre: Mostly romance, some action, but mostly romance.

Why I like it: It's got awesome characters and is really cool
Why it's good:It's decently drawn and has a neat storyline and it's funny(lately most of the manga I've been reading has crossdressers in it... why is that? lol)
