"Tears of the sun" Action/war (ish)

Bruce Willis Leads as a Man on a mission to take a scientist out of africa. But rebels persue. But As they are ready to take her away they turn back. They want to do whats right.

The actings great, action, blood, and explosions. I do like the movie. It feels a bit long but i did like it. The music suited it, a good ending. Goot shooting scenes. I liked it. Plus its tory lays true to events of today within africa.

So i do reccoment this, rent, but. Go for it. 5/5

PS3

Now i watch many of my movies on the PS3..when im not killing things in video games then yea. You can watch regular dvds on the PS3 and buy or rent movies on it too. Thats how i saw Tropic thunder......(i didnt like that movie...hmm)

Also we have a blueray player but its just confusing. Luckily the PS3 has a built-in blueray player to i just put it in and its great. The controller is the remote and its pretty simple to use.

I do like this part too, at anytime u can pause it or take it out, use it for something else. U put that dvd in days later and it wil continue right where u left off. Its great.

The PS3 dvd feature gets a 5/5

Tropic Thunder Comedy?/action?

Alright Right off the bat the movie....oh god it just sucked. It opens with a rap ad for some energy bar. And im wondering "what the hell is this crap doing here? did i accidentally get some porn or some crappy rap video?" But its an opening ad it was also introfucing a character for the movie.

The other parts was as if u was in the movies, its spoofing previed of the other cast members. But for a spoof it looked terrible like something you would find in "disaster movie" it was just so bad.

For the movie itself it had a good plot, there are some actors and they try and make a war movie, but they suck. So the director sends them to go through a jungle, BUUUT they meet with drug lors and have to fight like there in a actual war. That alone would make a comedy movie....But it failed and heres how.

Alright the directer gets killed, tom cruise is barking orders to the agents (yes hes in it, as some bald, fat, big shot p***k...and he shakes his a** to some music, something about shorty with applebottom jeans....yeah i dont get it either)

Part 2 coming in a bit

(T.T. PART 2) Alright, another picky thing is the enemy's which is a drug group run by..a kid, like i get how a kid is supposed to be funny....but seriously it was a bad move.

The main problem is the cliches, i get how for the hollywood folks they would get the joked, but to the average person...they wouldn't get it.The Apocalypse now bit i got though others didnt get it. I think the movies just tried to hard with spoofing. They tried to get every hollywood hit cliche in there. The drama actor, the action star whos low in his career. The drug addict comedian, and a rapper whos actually gay. And some random actor whos the brains of the group.

Theres also a running gag about how in a contract the main character is supposed to get a Tivo...eh. I didnt care much about that.

The only reaosn why is isnt a complete failure is the casting was right, the plot was right, the action was good..but it was done soo horribly bad. Tropic thunder gets a 2/5 if possible asdk a friend to rent it its not even worth renting from a movie store.

I think it's a sad day when people can't distinguish spoof from satire.

Tropic Thunder was intentionally made to include every cliched character you'd find in a war movie. And those ads at the beginning? They're totally deliberate.

I viewed this movie as a satire on the Hollywood studio system and the Hollywood epic. As you've probably noticed, Hollywood is churning out big-budget blockbusters at an alarming rate. This film is looking at these systems and is pointing out everything wrong with them.

EDIT: (Oh, and I tried watching Eraserhead today; I couldn't even get through it. I'm going to try again this weekend, maybe when I'm more awake. I suggest you look up some of David Lynch's other films, like Blue Velvet or Mulholland Drive; you'll find them much easier to follow, though still just as shocking as what you'd expect in a Lynch film.)

Thank you. God, I wanted to say something but I wasn't sure what I wanted to say that wasn't douchey. You succeeded in that manner.

I actually OWN Tropic Thunder and believe or not I actually found it quite funny, especially the spoof of Satan's Alley I think it was called. It was beyond stupid, yet entertaining if you can laugh at the morbidly moronic. Also, have emotional ties with the movie that makes me like it more than most. But Tom Cruise's bit was painful to watch. It actually physically hurt. He sucks.

"WALL.E" Family/adventure

Most movies dont live up to the hype. -looks at Batman Begins- -looks again at Pineapple Express- Buuuut this movies does live up to it.

This movie is beautifully dont, the background was good, the different scenes was good. The characters were nicely detailed. They even had some real life acting in this movie which was actually done nicely.

The movie stars Wall.E a robot that disposes garbage, but this robot is different as it has a actual personality. It collects things and enjoys Marry Poppins...a Disney movie in another Disney movie..interesting.

Well he has a cockroach friend which i did enjoy. And then meets EVE. The love interest of the movie, who is searching for plant life. Well she gets taken to a space ship and Wall.E goes to find her.

We meet some interesting characters like this little cleanerbot. and BURN.E. who you briefly see in the movie but has its own animated short on the DVD Theres another animated short with a rabbit and a magician on the DVD too.

Also there is a villian...ish its hard to explain without watching the movie. Also Mankind is lazy Obese people. Dont believe me? watch it yourself. They change near the end yes but its vary strange.

All and all, its a great movie, fun for the family, for a date, or for yourself. I highly recommend it. 5/5
