Aylin: She nodded her head as she listened to Valtiel, "Then you are an explorer, as we are." she paused for a moment, taking a look around.
She spied a white stallion in the distance that looked a bit... confused to say the least. "I wouldn't suggest that, Stallion..." she gave the wandering stallion a stern warning. "The sisters will not appreciate it if you try to flee..."
She turned her attention back to Valtiel, "Do you have a name, or shall I just continue to refer to you as Stallion?"

Valtiel: He dips his head in acquiescence, his eerie pupil-less eyes never meeting the Oracle's. "I am Valtiel, if it pleases you," he answered simply.
He agreed with her astute observation; both he and the Harpies were explorers, of sorts. He was reluctant to continue the conversation on their similarities, however, and remained silent.

Aylin: She watched as the stallion refused to look at her, at least he had manners. Much less of a hassle than some stallions that her sisters had brought home in the past. "Valtiel," she let his name roll off of her lips. "Valtiel pleases me more than 'Stallion'," she offered him a smile though he would not see it.
"Well, Valtiel, You will find that not all of the sisters are as brash as some I'm sure you have encountered thus far. With the recent move from our home, the nerves of many have worn thin."

Valtiel: While he wasn't looking at her face, Valtiel was inspecting Aylin's claws and ankle-wing... things. Her massive talons were impressive. The repressed violent streak within the stallion reared up momentarily, and he had to wonder what it felt like to sink the claws into something living. Her ankle wings were impressive- but not in the same way his own full, thick wings were.
At least he could fly with them- if they weren't clipped.
"I am happy to hear it pleases you, Oracle," he addressed her by her title within the flock, hoping she found it as a matter of respect rather than rebellion.

Aylin: She noted the stallion studying her talons, she flexed them slightly into the dirt. "They work well in the hunt," she said in a passive manner.
She listened as he spoke, she quite liked the mannerisms of this stallion, "If you keep it up, Valtiel, I may claim you as my own," she offered a soft laugh.
She was learning to deal with many types of soquili as others had been coming to visit her in recent weeks. She had never been an over calus mare, but her recent activities were helping her along.

Valtiel: With a daring glance up at the Oracle, Valtiel surprised himself by suddenly realizing he would not at all be disappointed or upset at being claimed by the Harpy mare. As well as be pleasant to look upon, Aylin treated Valtiel with just a bit of dignity and respect- something the other harpies had not yet shown the stallion.
He couldn't help but allow the smallest hint of a smile to cross his lips, betraying his pleasure at her comment. "I can imagine that they are quite the aid in bringing down prey, mistress," he admitted with a bob of his head in the direction of her talons. "They are impressive," he said simply.

Aylin: Her bright eyes looked over to him as he glanced up at her, "It's okay to gaze upon me, it helps me to connect to the spirits that guide your destiny.... However, for your safety, refrain from ever...-ever- looking at the Queen. Her face is not for Stallions to enjoy." she offered the stallion a bit of advice. For a stallion to look the Queen in the eye would surely be death by many of sisters.
"The smile suits you, Valtiel. You will find that once you have learned our ways, it will cross your face more often. While you are not our equals, we do need you and your brethren..."

Valtiel: The sister who had captured Valtiel had made it clear that he was not the equal of any sister, therefore he should never look at one as such. Looking at Aylin felt good- it felt like he was breaking some rule, doing something taboo! But she then proceeded to permit him to look upon her; Valtiel chose not to. He did not want to find himself at the wrong end of those talons. But her advice about the Queen received a quick bob of the head in agreement.
"She is much too beautiful for anyone like myself to understand. I am not worthy of looking upon such grace," he said quietly, in reference to the Harpy Queen.
The way Aylin spoke of males within the Harpy society struck Valtiel as almost treacherous. They were needed? He was tempted to snort indignantly; if they were needed, then why were they treated so harshly? He refrained, however, and simply nodded in placid agreement.

Aylin: She looked at him for a moment longer as he turned his gaze away from her. Aylin was one of the few that permitted the males to look at them, she hoped he would heed her advice about this when approached by other sisters.
"By far, our Queen outshines us all. Her happiness is the happiness of the herd," she smiled as she spoke of her Queen and friend.
The oracle caught the thought of the male and laughed, "We can not bear offspring alone, you know..." she leaned over and whispered to him. "If we were able, we'd have no need for your life or the life of your brethren here." She straightened herself after sharing her 'secret' with him.

*ponders* Would you be looking for, maybe down the road a ways, a failed capture? I've got a male...*points at her sig*...But I can't see him being easily taken down...he's big and heavy and armored. I'd be happy to offer him as a potential plot device. If you don't want any bungled catches I understand though! Just thought I'd offer, seeing as all the captures have/will go well so far.
