Sypher paused then "I love birds. They are so...free. No one tells them where to go or what to do. They can soar and hunt with no restraint." he was staring at the sky, his eyes strangely bright. His green eyes were usually electric but now they seemed to be glowing in themselves as he stood "I wish I were a bird..." he mumbled, his tone soft before he shook himself and started walking towards the ruins again "Foolish wish, yeah? The closest I'll ever get to flying is on one of my falcons." Sypher ducked under a fallen pillar and glanced back at Nijiro "Do you have a wish Nijiro?"

Rainbow Reaper ❡ Nijiro Hatake  space Loyal ✖ Hatake Clan ✖ Mist ✖ Medic ✖ Lazy xxxxxx❧ Nijiro listened as Sypher spoke, even catching his soft words of wishing to be a bird himself. The seventeen-year-old slowly turned, surveying the area. She started walking towards Sypher, but his question made her stop suddenly. A wish? I wish you were never born! Nijiro winced, looking away from Sypher, a look on her face as if she had just been hit; pained.
❝Yeah. I had one.❞ Nijiro spoke, looking up into the sky. ❝It wasn't to fly. Similar. But I found no solace in the sky.❞ Stilettos clicking, Nijro walked up to the pillar, gently resting a hand on top of it. She kind of felt like this pillar. Cracked and fallen, but still with a strength, a purpose. If only it could find a way to stand tall, it could do what it was meant to do once more. This is all your fault! You're the reason why this is happening!

Sypher was quiet as he watched the pain flash across her face "Haaa. Sorry. I'm prying." he turned away, moving past the older ruins and coming into sight of Raidan and Breath. Raidan gave a short shriek and flew at him, landing gracefully on his shoulder "Hello, Raidan." they were still a good ways from Breath, far out of hearing range if not sight and he looked at Nijiro again "You had a wish, a dream. Pardon me for once more forcing my opinion on you but get another one. That's the best part of dreaming and wishing. Once they're gone, you can get another one." Sypher dug in his pockets and fed Raidan an egg roll he'd picked up when they had been eating, wrapped in paper to keep it fresh "Its hard to live with regrets or pain. A dream or wish can change your entire outlook on life." he smiled carefully at her before starting for Breath again "Again, sorry to force my opinion on you."

Rainbow Reaper ❡ Nijiro Hatake space Loyal ✖ Hatake Clan ✖ Mist ✖ Medic ✖ Lazy xxxxxx❧ Nijiro remained completely silent and unmoving as she listened to Sypher speak, her eyes still on the broken pillar. Get another dream? Like what? Have lots of friends? Master the Raiton element? That all seemed rather hollow. And she wasn't interested in things like that.
❝Is it easy?❞ Nijiro asked, still looking down at the pillar. ❝To find a wish. I can't think of anything. I haven't for a long time.❞ Nijro admitted, shifting, looking at Sypher from the corner of her eyes.

"Wishes are easy. Its fulfilling them that's the hard part..." Sypher stopped again to speak, his voice heavier and darker than before "I have a real wish. Not a silly one...Though the more I see, the harder it is to follow through on my wish." he took a heavy breath, trying to lighten his chest "I want the villages to unite. To coexist as one and continue in harmony." his brow tightened as he spoke "I'm tired of watching so much pain in this damn world." Sypher looked at Nijiro carefully "You don't need to think of anything. Something will happen in your life, something that will make such a deep impression on you that it will ingrain itself in your very being. Then you'll know what your wish is. The wish to change or correct or even participate in an event that will do what you want. That will do something to the world." Raidan shuffled on his shoulder, clearly uncomfortable with this conversation and flew off once more. Sypher's eyes went to his flight immediately "If a wish were easy, it wouldn't be worth keeping, Nijiro."

Nijiro almost believed he could do it, right then and there. The teenager shifted, hands raising, touching the cloth necklaces that wrapped around her throat. She undid one, held it in her hands, toying with it lightly as she walked towards Sypher.
❝Bad things happen. And they will continue to happen, even with the villages united.❞ Nijiro spoke, her hands suddenly holding the necklace, as if about to choke someone with it. She imagined herself choking the life out of the people who hurt her teammates many times. But she needed to let go of that. Nijiro realised at least this much. Stepping up beside Sypher, she relented her grip, and let the necklace dangle in her left hand.
❝This is metal links, disguised as a cloth necklace. A gift of my aunt's to me. It can be used as a weapon. But, I think it deserves a better purpose.❞ Nijro admitted, clasping it back together and looping it once, so it would wrap around the neck twice. ❝Even if our villages do not unite, do not lose hope. Even if you have no friends in Cloud, you'll have a friend in Mist. Whether you believe in either one, however, is your choice to make.❞
Nijiro raised her hand and released the necklace above Sypher's head, the soft but strong weight of the necklace would land perfectly around the younger boy's neck. The girl looked at Sypher, eyes unreadable, smoking pipe in the corner of her mouth. ❝Don't let bad things get in the way. Didn't you say something like that?❞

Sypher closed one eye as the necklace slipped over his neck, examining it with a raised eyebrow "You use my words against me? That's loooow, Nijiro." he smiled at her, his tone slightly teasing but "Thanks. Hopefully I can come visit that strange thing called a 'friend' sometime in the future." he said then gave her a short bow, something he rarely did for people he had only met. A respectful bow that accepted everything Nijiro had said "Hope, I have. Faith is the hardest thing to keep." Sypher threw his hands up in the air slightly after that "But we're getting into depressing waters! And I will not allow you to have a depressing time while you're here. Not while I'm in charge of showing you around! Come! Let's get over to Breath." he smiled and turned but dropped down into a runner's stance "Race? Yes, though you will beat me in those majors heels, I will do my best!" he pushed off and began running, jumping easily over the fallen stones and pillars.

She pulled the smoking pipe from her mouth and tucked it away safely into the back of her obi. She readied her stance to run by stretching out one foot slightly ahead of her.
❝Heh.❞ Nijiro took off the moment Sypher did, her steps almost silent now as she did not let the heels touch the ground, her body forward, weight in her toes. While Sypher leaped over ruins, Nijiro ran up and pushed off from them, giving just the little extra boost.

((Well... if Ryo isn't going to show up, I suppose we'll just have to run with it. Waiting patiently didn't exactly work as intended.))
Breath heard out the call of "RAIDAN", and was a little confused when Raidan did a large swoop in the air, but didn't ask. He assumed that Raidan was marking their position. But the fact that Sypher was back only made Breath more aware of how much time had passed. Breath had waited patiently here, but Ryo had never arrived. Breath paced a bit, trying to think of what had happened, but then he got annoyed that he was pacing. He sat down, trying to relax, while also trying to think of where Ryo would be.

Sypher skidded to a stop by Breath, Raidan settling on Breath's shoulder with a cackle "Hey, Breath. How's it going?" he said, breathing hard as he settled his hands on his knees. Nijiro's necklace was heavy on his neck and he tucked it into his shirt to keep it from bouncing around too much "Raidan didn't mess with you did he? Not too much at least?" he ducked as Raidan took off again and tried to swipe at him with his talons.

Gamakichi entered as a tiny toad from a smoke puff as he found Sypher,"Sypher, glad I found you I need a favor, its...." He looked away as he grew to his normal size about two heads taller than Sypher,"Its.... Howaido-san...." Hopefully Sypher would care and the name would strike a bell, he knew Sypher was the only other person Howaido could consider a friend and now Howaido was counting on him being his only foreign ally in the battle for his life.

Breath began to answer Sypher, saying "Nah, we just talked." He was about to go on more about how Raidan was so easily offended but it was all in good fun, when someone else arrived- Err... something. Though he had learned to be careful around talking animals. The small toad talked to Sypher, while Breath could only think Is this guy some kind of Forest Druid or something?

Sypher jumped back from the toad, staring at it blankly as it began to grow "What the heck? What are you? Raidan demanded, immediately going on defense as he swooped down to land sharply on Sypher's shoulder. Sypher put a hand up to stop the falcon from getting any more malicious "Howaido-san...from the chunnin exams." he mused slightly then addressed the frog "I'll need permission from my Kage to go anywhere. And I still have a duty to perform here with these Mist ninja. My advice, Mister Frog, is to go to Kage-dono's office and ask for me. Seek her permission for me to leave. As soon as you have it, return for me. I'll go with you at that time." he replied carefully, wanting to cover all the bases before he took off on his own "I can tell you're in a hurry so I will stay here for you. I can't leave without my kage's permission lest I risk her rage..." Sypher nodded then flicked a glance at Breath "What's with that look?" he frowned at the boy as he slipped his hands in his pockets.

"No no you miss understand, I merely seek your knowledge, you must help me to locate another Hatake to challenge master Howaidos mind. He was put under a horrible Jashin curse that spread an infection through out his body. The disease was cured but his mind cannot heal unless he plays an opponent of equal strength in mind games such as Chess or Shogi. I as well as most of the Suna villagers are ill equipped and he can beat them even in his confused and emotionally unstable state of mind. Even you wouldnt be able to beat him at a game like that, only another Hatake may be able to push him hard enough that he regains mental stability. If you havent one in the village do you have one of them among the Kiri shinobi you are with, a female might prove more useful than another male in this case?" He dismissed all the toad was obviously worried and flustered no doubt.

Sypher blinked then looked over his shoulder and then back at the toad "Over there?" he pointed back slightly at Nijiro, an eyebrow raised at the toad "Nijiro is the only female shinobi from Mist that I currently know." he smiled slightly, glad that he wouldn't have to go to visit the Kage again "Obviously, she's female."
