Nicholas opened the piano and played a few notes with a smile. "Would you like to play anything? There are many instruments you can try out if you'd like." He asked her.

Leila smiled and picked up the guitar she'd tuned the last time they'd been in the music room. "I'm comfortable with my flute and this guitar," she said. "Are there any songs you'd like for me to play?"

"Play whatever you want. I don't care what it is." He said, trying to play a song he read about, but was failing terribly.

"Perhaps you should use the music if you want to play a specific piece, Master," Leila suggested, smiling. "What are you trying to play?"

"I don't know how much it would help. I still don't know how to read music so well." He said to her, grabbing the book that he found the song from. "It's Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I was reading about Beethoven's music career and this song interested me." He said with a smile.

Leila raised an eyebrow. She'd heard that piece a lot with her old master. "Maybe you should start with one of his easier pieces first, Master. Work your way up."

Nicholas looked at the book, then back at Leila. "Do you have any suggestions?" He asked, not having a clue on what to choose.

"What about 'Ode to Joy'?" Leila asked, playing the first phrase on her guitar. "It's an easy enough piece, and I think I see the music right there on the piano."

Nicholas heard her play and try to imitate it, but came out sour. He then looked around and did find the music sheet for the song. He tried to play, but it still came out sour. "Umm, can you help me please Leila?" He asked her, still having trouble playing.

Leila smiled. "I'll try, Master, but I've already told you I can't read music." Even so, she set the guitar down and walked over to the piano to see what she could do to help. She struck one of the keys, guessing at whether it was the right note. It was, but it was greatly out of key, and she winced, her ears flicking back against her skull. "Maybe you should get someone to tune the piano first."

Nicholas winced as well. "But I don't know anyone who can tune a piano, and I'm still really scared about going outside..." He said, not wanting to remember what happened yesterday.

Leila thought for a moment. "Maybe one of the servants knows how to tune a piano," she suggested. "And if not, I think we passed a music shop on the way to the park. I doubt whoever shot at us will try that again so soon."

Nicholas just shook his head. "None of the servants know how to play piano. I know one can play guitar and another is an avid drummer, but no piano skills at all." He said. The idea of leaving the house still really scared him, but he wanted to learn how to play piano really badly. "Can, can I hold your arm if we go? You make me me safe when your with me." He asked, asking to hold her arm instead of he hand because that might be weird.

Leila chuckled. "How about I hold your arm instead of the other way around, Master? We don't want anyone thinking you're effeminate."

"Would you rather have it like that?" He asked, not really thinking too much of how they would look, only worrying about safety currently.
