"Something's wrong though." Sophie said as she continued to read. "The Atlantis Squid should be in the south pole area where almost nothing can go. Why dose a warm water shark have one of it's scales?" she asked.

Leon was listening to all this quietly, having grabbed a mop to clean up the mess of slatwater and blood on the deck.

Zackory stood quietly in thought before talking " thats a good question..... " He looked to Sophie and then to Rano " sounds like the basis for a grand adventure lad! " He grinned before looking out over the sea " one that may have to wait, it appears were closing in to port boys!" cheering was heard from all over the ship as several men ran out from below deck to see the closing isle.
Rano sighed before looking to Leon " looks like were going to be risking are lives again pretty soon Leon"

Sophie looked up and smiled. "Finally. I need more supplies for my ship." she said. She then looked at the three and her ears drooped a bit. "It's been fun sailing with you guys today." she said with a small smile.

Zackory laughed before patting Sophie on the back "its been a refreshing change to have a lady on board again!" He looked to Rano before walking towards the helm of the ship "Rano, i need you over here for a second..."
Rano looked to is captain, slightly confused before making his way over to him "What you want now captain.....because i ain't cleaning no stinkin pots or swabbin the deck, i got more important skills to put to use ya know"
Zackory smiled with a kind look in his eyes, a strange change from his cocky grin "that you do lad....that you do." He sighed before punching him lightly in the shoulder "ya old man would be proud if he could see ya now, he always knew you would be destined for greatness".
Rano sighed before shaking his head " pappy was a man who saw everything for more than they were worth, but what has that got to do with anything?"
Zackory grinned before shaking his head "no lad, he asked me to make sure you became a pirate of legend, and that i tried, yeah, i tried with all me heart, but i cant take ye any further, so now i give ya one last order, ya gunna go with Sophie, and ya gunna become greater! ya got that lad!" He bellowed a loud hearty laugh before landing a heavy hand on Rano's shoulder. " ya father was a legend, but you, your summit else boy, and ill be damned if ya stuck on this ship for the rest of ya life"
Rano stared at Zackory for a moment before turning and walking away, he looked back with a fake smile, given away by the now lost look in his eyes "guess that means i dont have to listen to your stupid ideas any more huh?" he gave a small laugh before turning away again "its been good sailing with you Zackory."

Sophie watched the two talk and saw the look on Rano's face. She recognized that look and felt sad for him.

Rano walked up to Sophie and Leon, before patting Leon on the head "guess ill be seeing you at a later date Leon, turns out im not coming with you after we dock..."
Zackory stood at the wheel of his ship as he let out a long sad sigh before replacing his look of sadness with a large grin "ya boys growing up old man, i did my best, now he needs to set sail in a new direction." He raised a half empty bottle of rum to the sky in honor of his old captain and Rano's old man "hope ya having a grand old time up there ya old salty b*****d." He watched as he sailed into port before barking orders to his crew "all right boys, drop anchor and hitch her up to port!"

Sophie felt a pain in her heart as she saw the family being torn apart. She felt it was her fault it was happening and guilt knawed at her.

The crab man removed a piece of armor on his face and it turned to dust in his grip. "Can't stand fish to be truthful...But when you're hungry, you'll take what you can get." Then he put the fish directly in the fire. "This will only take a few moments thanks to you..."

Zackory made his way back down to the deck before looking out into the docks "ah.....the air of Kortona! ya can smell the excitement in the air boys!" He looked to Rano out of the corner of his eyes before smiling gently and turning back to the dock, making his way towards the ramp off the ship, he looked over his shoulder before shouting to Sophie "ya ships ready for ya, i had my boys hitch it to the dock!"
Rano looked to Zackory again as he heard him shout to Sophie before turning his attention back to Leon " i got something for ya under my pillow, it belonged to ma pappy, keep it safe for me, okay Leon?"

Leon nodded. He was sad that Rano was leaving, and a bit confused as to why. "Yes sah."

"good boy...i'll be back to check on how ya doing" He smiled before looking out to the docks "ya know....i thought i would have had longer to say good bye..." He looked out to Zackory who was facing out away from him and the others " then again, the captain..." he stopped as he realized he was still referring to Zackory as captain and quickly corrected himself " Zackory....hes never been one for long goodbyes."
Zackory, turned and entered into his cabin, sitting at a desk before using a telecom system he had installed a while ago as his voice boomed out over the deck of the ship "well...what ya waiting for ya filthy lot of sea dogs! go have ya fun!" He turned in his chair as he placed his finger tips together while sat in thought, looking to a picture of a much younger him, arms rapped around a little Rano and the man he looked up to the most, Rano's father, he himself wearing the signature grin he still wears today, another picture sat next to this one, showing what seemed to be the same image, only with himself taking the place of his old captain, Rano in his old place and Leon where Rano was stood as a kid. ".....you better stay safe lad..."

"Old Timer? who are you talking to? I'm not even 25 yet." Then the crab man grabbed a meat cleaver and started chopping up the fish to let it cook more thoroughly.
