Roxas looked long and hard in silence at Magnus. The man was giving him a job that wasn't up to par with what he could do. But then a reflection in a far away mirror in the bar caught Roxas' eye. He looked like hell. Ah s**t. He thought to himself just as he got up from the chair. "I'll get it done." He grumbled limping out of the bar.

After a bit of traveling the pair had arrived at the bar that Atsuko frequented for work. Going up to the bar keep he tipped him 100 ryo, a seemingly habit at this point for Atsuko but also a signal for Magnus to show himself. "You can leave the talking to me. Magnus is someone who always has plenty of work for rogues, but its usually more business then just talking" Atsuko explained as the pair waited. Magnus, smelling like a mixture of soap and wood smoke, hastily made his way over to Atsuko and the young man's companion. The bartender's hair was slightly singed on one side and stuck out at a slight angle from his head because of it, but he seemed to pay it no mind.
"Very good timing," he opened with a calm that was at odds with the urgency of his movements. "Your arrival came on the heels of a very important piece of information. There is a gang war raging on the river banks and we've just learned where they're keeping their weaponry. Head there, locate a white warehouse with a crumbling roof, and destroy every last scrap of weaponry inside. It's liable to be well defended, so take care. On the way back, take a few shots at both sides to send them into disarray. Do you accept this job?"
Magnus stared at Atsuko as the last question hung in the air. As busy as the bar was, no one else seemed intent on bothering him, instead occupying themselves with the bottom of a glass or with someone else's company.
This city had a totally different atmosphere from Takumi; one that put Tsubame slightly on edge. Though it was obvious Dragon was comfortable here - or at least, didn't appeared to be bothered by it. She followed him from the gates to the bar, remaining silent the entire way, while a multitude of questions filled her mind. When they entered the bar they approached the counter, Dragon offering up a tip. She nodded in response to Dragon's insistence on speaking with this Magnus person. That didn't bother her much at all, he knew much more about this place and its people than she did.
When the man, Magnus, showed up, she took notice of his singed hair, and peculiar aroma. Standing next to Dragon when he spoke, she listened intently to the details of the mission, eyeing her ally once he'd finished. From what she gathered thus far, this city was a battlefield for rival gangs, and they were being tasked with ridding of their weaponry. That part made sense to her. But, she had mixed feelings on poking at both gangs after it was said and done. She'd go along with Dragon's decision in this case, though she'd make sure to ask more for information on these gangs.

With that said Atsuko would lead Tsu out of the bar to the outside streets before turning to her. "Do you have any questions or concerns before we leave?" Atsuko asked. He wasn't aware of how experienced she was with any of this nor is she had any issue with it. Rogue work wasn't always....the cleanest after all. The job was accepted, much like Tsu anticipated. Following Dragon out of the bar and into the streets, she was somewhat relieved that he asked about her before they continued. There was quite a few things she wanted to clear up. Sighing softly, she looked up towards some of the mangled buildings of the city. "I don't know much about this place at all, but things are very different here. These gangs. What do you know about them and this war that's going on between them? And this city? Are they the reason behind its condition right now?" She looked to him now, her facial expression was calm, other than a hint of worry in her ocean-blue eyes. "The UHV that you spoke of earlier... Who, or what are they?" Tsu felt ashamed to be bombarding Dragon with so many questions, but she was so far out of the loop of everything thus far that it was starting to bug her. At the very least, she wanted to know that this job they were doing--although, clearly not the most virtuous of tasks she was expecting--was for a decent reason.

Atsukos expression softened a bit in response. She obviously did consider the consequences of actions, as well as didn't just blindly rush into them. The young uchiha seemed to pause for a moment, choosing his words carefully before he spoke them.
"For most of those questions, your guess could be as good as mine. Well I have frequented this city I haven't touched the underworld much. I have a few contacts who have but from what I can tell this is just how this city is. Whether you were to blame it on a slow social degradation or possible uhv intervention is another story. Even the uhv I know little about, they don't send out people to frequently from what we can tell and seem to be the most paranoid village out of the 5. The rumors you hear about them also don't really add to any good light, but those COULD just be rumors. Paranoia always comes with a reason however.
In terms of this mission I will be honest and say if we were in a better position we could ask more questions. Even in villages you can't say for certain if what you are doing is noble or not. This also ties into my goals Tsu...
As of right now what WE are working towards in peace, and the option of choice. Once we have grown in strength in power we can control our destiny more and more. Until then however we have to play safe. We have to survive. There is a little wiggle room for rogues, or whatever you'd like to call them, but if you move to much you might get cut down before you have the chance to grow. That is the harsh truth as of right now" Atsuko explained. It was obvious that he himself wasn't to satisfied with the mission they had been given, or likely even the missions he might have gotten in the past. To Atsuko right now they had to take what they could get and negotiate only when it was safe. Tsubame listened carefully to Dragon's words. The UHV was nothing short of a mystery for him as well, other than whatever rumors were floating about. They were the least of her concerns for the moment, the question being asked more out of curiosity for what he knew. As far as the mission was concerned, he helped her realize the position that she was now in. Much different from her life as a noble, rogues were considered dangerous on almost all accounts. From what she experienced thus far, even rogues had trouble trusting other rogues. They were truly outcasts, even among their own kind. After giving his small speech about their 'harsh truth', she nodded. They'd have to work their way from the ground up, and carefully. She knew very little of how dangerous things could get out here, but Tsu was well aware that dangers were everywhere. For peace, the goals of the Shishin, and her honor as a Samurai, she'd face them all. "I understand, Dragon..." Sighing softly, she placed her large straw hat back on top of her head, the front of it lowered to hide the visage of her face with a looming shadow. She'd have to accept this city for what is was now, with intent on changing it in the future. "Let's just take this cautiously... we don't know what kind of thugs we're dealing with." Tsubame was more concerned for his life than her own, though she was fairly certain he was capable of handling himself, having spent some time in this city. Deep down, she was just worried of losing someone she considered a friend, somewhat. An ally, at the very most, while in her company. She silently vowed to herself that the mission would be completed with the two of them in one piece, or Dragon's life be spared. Killing, while not in the forefront of her mind, if it came down to his life being threatened to that extent, she could bring herself to do it. Warriors are not always the ones that win, but are always the ones that fight.
Waiting for Dragon to lead the way, Tsu would follow by his side before speaking once more, "Let me make one thing very clear to you: I'm not a mercenary." The tone in her voice carried no sign of malice, but sincerity and confidence.

Atsuko was thankful that she understood, especially considering he had just did such a long winded speech. He seemed to do that a lot. "Right. Sorry for calling you that. I was a bit flustered at the time" Atsuko said in response, a light tinge of red going to his cheek before fading away.
Now that they were both right of minded on the situation Atsuko would lead the way to the mission sight. The pair returned to the bar sometime later a little worse for wear. Atsuko had a lot more bruises and cuts then before but nothing that required immediate attention, his clothes were a bit scorched as well but that was normal. Overall it had gone successful. The weapons were destroyed in flames and both sides were sent into an ensuing chaos, neither of them were killed to so that was a plus.

Tsu followed Dragon back to the bar within the city, becoming a little more familiar with the general area surrounding it. She gave a once over on her partner, checking to make sure he wasn't critically injured in any way, after leaping into a crowd of thugs. Besides a few cuts and bruises, he seemed to be in decent condition. Tsu mirrored his condition; a few bruises on her arms, and various cuts into her clothing, some revealing small slashing wounds. She took note of his scorched clothing, while her own was simply darkened with char and dirt. Small splatters of blood stained her apparel, from the very few attacks she directed towards cutting flesh. Her hair was disheveled beneath the hat, which she took off once she entered the bar, which had also somehow collected a bit of dirt from the skirmish with the thugs. She was just happy that the mission was over. Completed to the best of their ability, with both of them arriving back in one piece.

The bar was busy as usual, but with fewer plates of food and glasses of alcohol to go around. One corner of the establishment was taken up by families chatting each other up halfheartedly. Their smiles were strained, to say the least.
Magnus emerged from the back room at about the same time Atsuko and Tsubame arrived. He looked exactly as they had left him. He beelined toward a grumpy, tired old woman in scrubs at one end of the bar, exchanged words with her, and then turned away. In the process he caught sight of the rogues and waved them over.
"How did it go?" he asked while looking them over. "If you need urgent medical treatment, I urge you to visit the hospital or pay your respects to my colleague, Doctor Cameron."
At the last he nodded toward the woman in scrubs, then assumed a very businesslike stance as he awaited a report.
Atsuko's eyes caught the motion of someone waving them over, Magnus of course. When asked to report Atsuko's sharingan flickered alive, three tomoe showing this time, as he gave Magnus a warm smile.
"The warehouse has been burnt to the ground a long with the weapons inside, though I made sure to stop the flames from consuming the surrounding area. After that we took to causing chaos outside. All to the letter as usual sir" Atsuko reported swiflty and cleanly. "I have business to take care of in Konoha if there is nothing else you need. Though I am sure one of my other contacts will likely come along in no time to get more work"
Of course he didn't mention the need for medical treatment, he himself didn't feel he needed it. Following Dragon to Magnus as they were waved over, she remained silent, letting him do the talking as normal. Tsu didn't feel she needed any medical attention at the moment. They weren't all that serious to her, and she'd feel better taking care of them herself when she got the chance. Dragon spoke of some business in Konoha, by the name, Tsu figure it was the Leaf Village. He was always on the move. Those red eyes were present as usual; slightly different than before. It still made her wonder if they were the cause of his motivation, like some form of possession. Tsu looked to Dragon to find out what their next move was, or whether she'd be accompanying him to the leaf village.

Magnus averted his eyes ever so slightly when the Sharingan flickered into Atsuko's eyes. His posture didn't change, but the almost imperceptible response to the eyes at the very least indicated he recognized them.
"Very well done," he commended the duo, "and thank you for containing the blaze. There is always more work to be done, but where you place your priorities is none of my business and I wish you luck in your endeavors." In one smooth movement, he retrieved a stack of coins from one of his pockets and offered it to the rogues. With a quick readjustment of his palm, the stack slid into two equal stacks, each about 700 Ryou. "Your payment. Will the young miss also be otherwise occupied?"
Magnus turned his gaze squarely to Tsubame, awaiting her response with nothing more than professional curiosity.
