Although Miko did provide Toso with the insightful thought about honor among thieves and whether or not there is justification behind thievery. Still despite the past riddled with ancestors who were cutpurses infamy was still a type of fame and seemed that fame was being brought down unto Miko...simply looking at her sudden change of features for the brief moment signaled Toso of a burden she placed upon herself. The burden of living up to expectations. Toso would then provide some of his own philosophy in response to Miko's readied expression to be just as ambitious as her forefathers. "I feel one must live up to what they want themselves to be not what is expected of them Bloop."
He would then receive the commentary that brought to light Toso's naivety. Toso was never the type to be skeptical of either something was or wasn't. Still, It wasn't always black and white. Toso had believed while despite the direct advices of his father there was always more ways to utilize his words and different interpretations of said words. Sill Miko's expressiveness on the subject would make Toso's more perverse interpretations dwindle to some degree. A favor for women everywhere.
When asked what he would like to buy after being informed about Miko's relationship with the Hattori he jumped briefly. "Ah I've never met them." Toso would collect six of these small glass phials the size of the average test tube and would tuck them in his sleeves. Ideally he intended to use these for storing inks much like a palette. He would then pick up a collection of general papers. Used to draw on not for particular sealing or kaifu.He would then look for something akin to a belt with loops. One that could hold the phials he collected but not much else. He then began to look for a medium sized sack or bag one that could hold object for general purposes. He would place all these knick knacks on the counter after Miko. "Might I inquire the price of these objects? Bloop"

✰ With Tosokurui working out the price of his purchases. Miko would look around and think of what to decorate the shops exterior with. "You, Toso finish up and come help me with this.", Miko woudl say as she'd head outside and would look around for something to work into an ornament. Seeing some red orchid flowers and a pine tree not long off she'd break off a few branches and work them together to create a wreath, well a few of them and placed them along the the door in a arch, and continues to take natural materials to create ornamental effects. Using the same Tree Miko began to carve out long candle holders and would work them with festive designs and woudl place then around the shops windows and other places that showed signs of possibly accommodation for decorations. Walking back into the store she'd ask the clerk for some assistance with materials. Hey, do you have any old candles or junked candelabra's or anything like that I could use. I'm making this up as I go, but a few lights might be nice. to give it that warm glow I'm looking for. Still a bit more work to be done, but if either of ya..." Toso had plans to use these phials for artistic purposes. The paper was then put into the leather satchel, then it was tucked away into the mans coat. He would then turn to face Miko who was asking for Candelabra's and who had already begun construction on the festival wreaths. Toso would have picked up on the earlier comment of the counter attendants expression of the owners of the establishments distaste for the festive.
With his sleeves waving and turning toward Miko he'd express the opinion she'd be looking for. While Miko was gung ho about decorating the establishment Toso looked a little...rattled. "Bloop...Miko. If the owner of the establishment is 'strong' like you said they were and they don't like festive decorations...don't you think it's dangerous..to bloop...well decorate? Toso while he would comply simply wanted Miko's reasoning behind why after the clerk expressed the owners dislike she would still put effort into decorating the shop. She had the Gusto that was for certain...but the possibility of considering repercussions...he had no comment. Suddenly something came to mind. Toso was overwhelmed with inspiration. Arriving at the Blue Dragon, Seiji saw it in a half-decorated state and sighed. He saw the pair responsible, but it was too late and he deigned it on himself not to berate them for it currently. He was too tired and his face hurt too much to worry about it. Entering the Blue Dragon itself and seeing Saito sitting behind the counter, half-asleep with a book on his chest, the Hattori smiled.
Pulling up the information he had been given on his Secret Santa Seiji sighed and grabbed a few items. 10 Kunai and a High Quality Blacksmith's Hammer. He wrapped these items up and made a mental note that he would have to replace them soon. Then walking over to the counter he laid out 400 Ryo for the purchases and when the clattering of coins awoke Saito he gave him a gold gaze.
"You're off for the day Saito, we're closed for the holiday." He said to the shopkeeper, waiting for him to exit the shop.
He then turned to purchase a few other items. A set of Steel Hand Gloves for his younger sister. [ 550 Ryo ] A Sentinel Vest for Rin, while a bit cumbersome, knowing her specialty was defense and ranged assault, he doubted it would be a bother to her. [ 1,100 Ryo ] Then he purchased a pair of Knives for Karleen. [400 Ryo ] He ultimately had the hardest decision of what to purchase for Liori. She was still a bit of a mystery to him. But he decided that perhaps ranged weaponry would suit her, and thus purchased a pack of ten Kunai for her. [ 200 Ryo ]
Pulling out the remaining 2,250 Ryo he set it into the till and then walked out with his merchandise in tow.

✰ Miko would rub her hands together as she'd be allowed to get her hands on some left over junk to work on for free on the shop, but the shop keep seemed smart enough to use this opportunity to turn a larger profit. Yet Miko hadn't a penny to her name left after her previous purchases. So she was just flatly out of luck when it came to getting those candles, but having the ornaments up counted for something and just leaving things half done wasn't her style. "Well I ain't got your 10ryo, but thanks anyways for the scraps, che. Mr.business."
Miko would not Toso's inquiry into her plainly said, rueful ambition of testing the patience of someone she'd recognized as "strong", in whatever ways she'd might of meant it. Smirking at Tosokurui she'd wave of the question simply like shooing away the thought of panic or fear. "When you meet strong folks like that it's better test the waters than to go in blind, Savvy? " Still working on her task Miko would see as Toso would come to the thought of some other pressing matter and would take off to the street. Tilting her head to the side still trying to figure the guy out a little better she'd Notice something approaching in the distance and to some degree her heart beat would pick up when she noticed it was Saiji. Still it seemed her hand s couldn't help twisting and bending the scraps of candelabra's she had into ornaments to place outside. [2/3]
Yet Seiji though appearing a bit peeved seemed to simply move along with what seemed to be a wound on his face without giving Miko even a second glance as she'd take that as a okay for just continuing her work on the building. The roughly polished ornaments and holsters for candles and lanterns looked good in the light and the right sunlight that reflected off the white snow fall. It wasn't the most effectively stunning set of decorations but it seemed to fit the shops own personal motif in style and sequence. Nodding her head at her work Miko moved along sometime after Seiji had left ahead of her to make out with some attempt at making a present for the others. Then the thought came to her, Who other than Hatsu would I give a present [3/3]

Seiji immediately made his way into the Blue Dragon, heading towards the Forge on his half of the back room. He reached for tinder and coal and tossed it into the waiting furnace, then grabbing a piece of steel he would begin to hammer and turn it until it was glowing from the heat and stresses built upon it. Sticking this bar into the forge a flame grew. He sat and looked into the flames as they flickered to life, his eyes watching every growing and roaring ember. The bemusement of flames dancing in his eyes.
Grabbing a bar of chakra steel, Seiji would toss it into the flames, and pulling up a chair, he would sit and wait. The flames dancing in the forge as they did in his soul.
Approaching the shop, Hatsu would notice a light on in the back of the building. She opened the door, expecting to find her brother working. While she wasn't wrong, what she saw was something surprising. "You got sloppy. It's unlike you to get injured like that." Hatsu noted her half-brother's stitches as she pulled up a chair for herself. Leaning her arms on the back of the chair, she would sit down near Seiji, a small smile on her face. "Surely you don't intend to make me worry?"

"Do I ever intend to have anyone worry over me, Hatsu? Do I ever make myself the object of foremost attention or do I throw major parties in my own name? Seiji spoke as he stood and stepped forward to the forge, grabbing a set of tongs and grabbing the steel with it. [ 1/5 ]
Stepping the steel over to the anvil and grabbing a hammer he began to hammer out small pieces of steel, using a hotcut tool to break the ingot down into five equal sized bars. Setting each of these by the edge of the forge he would return to working on one in particular. A few stout strikes and one would see the basic shape of a Kunai forming. [ 2/5 ]
It sounded like he was dodging the question, but that was talk for another time. Hatsu switched up her eyes, looking more serious now rather than her usual happy go lucky mood. "Perhaps it is I who worried you, then. You seemed off when we were at the office." Hatsu let the bear pelt fall to the floor beside her, and turned in her seat, now leaning the back of her head on the back of the seat. Hatsu looked a sort of tired, yet also relaxed. It was like a great weight was lifted off her shoulders.

Seiji sighed and grabbed another piece of steel, tossing it into the furnace as his half-sister began her speech. She sounded depressed, perhaps angry at herself. Then it set in, that singular emotion that drove Seiji to acts of anger. Pity. When she began to speak to herself being the one to die and Jason surviving, Seiji turned towards her, withdrawing his hand from the leather glove he was wearing. Using his left hand to turn the steel within the flames he contemplated. He then let her finish her statement and with a tear in his eye, he did the unspeakable. [ 1/5 ]
His hand flew from the warm surface of the anvil to strike her, in a backhanded motion, across the face. The single tear fell down his cheek and cascaded into the stitched wound on his face. His lips and brow furrowed into an expression almost resembling rage. His cold slate eyes matched hers and when his voice crawled forth it sounded as if he would strike her again.
"You dare speak of yourself deserving death? You dare to sit before me, in this place, build of the sweat, tears, and blood of our clan and tell me you deserved to die instead of a boy who couldn't take directions or the woman who actually killed him? Instead of the father who committed adultery against his loving wife to sire two half-siblings to the family, whom I love dearly despite father's betrayal?" Seiji roared before reaching into the forge with the tongs in his left hand and pulling out a bar of steel.
"You are a ******** child, Hatsu. You are still the virgin snowflake falling as Long Winter begins, the first fall of a long hardship. You've yet to even understand your gods damned purpose in this life." The Elder brother roared further, grabbing the hammer in his hand and striking the glowing steel with an untamed force.
Several more blows rang upon the steel and slate eyes never left those of his sister's. He was furious and instead of taking it out on her, he drew the steel into something useful. He shaped and molded it as he would intend to do to her. She was weak, yielding, not the shield nor the sword of the Hattori clan as she was intended to be. Another loud ring came from the anvil and he leveled the hammer at her, staring down the steel head of it when he met her gaze again. [ 2/5 ]
"You are like this steel in my hand, Hatsu. You are unshaped, rough, and still weak, plastic, folding. With each blow, you will be shaped. You will be bent, then you will be made anew. Extreme heat and the deep cold are our fates..." He struck the steel once more " and to ever deny that fact is to dishonour yourself, your mother, and our father." [ 3/5 ]
He fumed in frustration, the cold seeping down his spine and into the floor, but avoiding the metal and anvil upon which he hammered. He growled in his frustration and began to hammer again, blow after blow, after blow. His lips curled and the stitches at the bottom of his wound pulled loose, opening the rent flesh beneath them. Another strike and he stuck the formed blade into the quench tank, drawing it back out and hammering it straight along the spine before the martensite could set. [ 4/5 ]
"If you dare, ever speak of your worthiness of death again. If you dare dishonour yourself, or me with such disgraceful words..." He tossed the blade itself into the forge to begin it's heating and balancing cycle once more, his full height drawing up in front of his sister.
"If you dare incite anything like this from me again, if you throw away the love this clan has for you. I will kill you, myself." The Hattori Elder spoke, an aura of cold taking over the entirety of his frame and spreading throughout the Blue Dragon.
The blood that leaked from his opening wound froze solid and his eyes took on a blue tone to match. He was filled with righteous indignation and fuming anger, but it all went cold. The flames of fury subsided to the cold of the grave. The forge flickered as the cold winds sought purchase.
"Do not make me bury another sister, Hatsu Yuki Hattori, or I will never forgive you."
Her head bowed in thought of Jason, she saw the backhand coming but did nothing to stop it. Her few simple words had sparked a rage she had not seen in him until now. She toppled onto the floor, her hand on her cheek, the chair following suit and toppling on its side. His words reminded her of what Melody said, only she had spoken of self reliance. Yet, even after all that he had said, one thing had piqued her interest. Another? Something had happened to sister Yuki? though, she had not heard from she nor Samui for quite some time. The genin Hattori picked herself off the ground, dusting her clothes off. picking the chair back up, she turned and looked up at him, with determined eyes. "Yet as quickly as fate has knocked me down, I shall stand back up. Do not think I would throw away my life so easily, Seiji."
Hatsu stood straight up, like a freshly built pillar. "I have a duty to this village, do you not remember our vows we took when we started?" Taking a seat once more she sighed, but felt no animosity towards the other Hattori. "I won't dishonor the Hattori name." Hatsu was quiet for a moment, thinking of the best way to ask about Yuki and Samui. "You said 'another sister'. Has something happened to Yuki?" Hatsu was a bit perturbed about this, as it would explain her disappearance, but wanted to ask about Samui as well.

Seiji pulled the reheated weapon from the forge and tossed it into the quench barrel, his eyes watching for a brief moment before returning to his resilient sister. A moment later and he retrieved the blade and set it upon the anvil. Using the wood hammer to tap a few spots of it down he sighed. She had asked the million Ryo question. The vows and everything else she spoke of just brought back painful memories, but then the reminder of Miyuki came to him directly. She was seen in the Azure Angel for some time, but, she never recovered. One day, she just, seemed to fade away. She was encased in ice, to keep her stable until something could be found, and she was set away in a hidden section of the Crystal Caverns." Seiji spoke, his voice uneven.
"Samui has been well enough, but he's currently off to visit with other members of our family on order of Myurai. I still retain contact with him through messengers." Seiji continued, knowing the girl would be worried for her twin.
