Summary of Discord discussion with Peppermint Coffee, regarding Reaver Sinclair x Beatrix.
Stumpy and his twin sister have haunted the area around the Code of Edda for quite some time, although they took kills only intermittently to avoid alerting the herd of their presence. One of their targets is Reaver Sinclair, and Beatrix gets caught in the crossfire. Reaver does not know she was the target of the attack; however, she still feels guilty that Beatrix got wounded so close to her herd. She treats the mare's wounds and offers to escort her safely into the neighboring territory. Some bad weather requires them to seek shelter in a cramped cave; after a few moments of awkward physical proximity, they simply laugh it off, and are at ease with one another from then on. They enjoy their travels as well as the other's company, even going so far as to have a "who can make the worst poetry on the spot" contest. Reaver realizes she has grown fond of the mare. Eventually, however, both of their wounds are healed and they have traveled long past the "neighboring territory." Uncertain if Beatrix returns her feelings, she gracefully takes her leave.

Summary of Discord discussion with Bluedemonwolf, regarding Mayu x "Bringer of Plagues" Morana x Angra Mainyu x Bastion.
Sae-Yae (xxx Yuki Bear xxx) and Kurosawa (xxx Yuki Bear xxx) were part of a sacrificial cult. Kurosawa helped Sae-Yae escape, and the mare was left alone with their unborn children. The baskets, once they came, reminded her too much of Kurowasa, and she abandoned them in a forest in hopes that they'd have a better life than her own. The forest was protected by the buffalo, Meg (xxx Yuki Bear xxx); she found the baskets with the diminutive stallion, Rum (xxx Yuki Bear xxx), and the two raised them together. They were named Mio (xxx Yuki Bear xxx), Rei (Zaikt), and Mayu (Ryuukishin).
Despite their happy upbringing, Mio always held a chip on her shoulder as a result of their abandonment. She was unhappy with what they had, and over time she convinced her sisters to feel the same and search for their blood parents. (Rum had been separated from his siblings and still misses them. Vodka fell down a cliff and was unable to fly back; she is still working her way back home, while their brother, Scotch, is in Conqueror's clutches. He inadvertently fuels Mio's drive to find her family.)
Their search took them to the cult Sae-Yae and Lurosawa sought to escape, which by this point had been taken over by Vladislav (xxx Yuki Bear xxx). Vlad removed the religious aspect of the cult that his father and grandfather had supported, meaning Sae-Yae and Kurosawa were no longer being hunted (although they were not aware of this). Even so, when Mayu is captured, she is still thrown into the Pit, an underground prison in anarchy where members struggle to survive or escape.
Quote:
Side Plot: Amund (Bluedemonwolf) and Wolffish (Ryuukishin) were raised under Lux's (xxx Yuki Bear xxx) herd. The two sought to escape with their Wishing Star child, but Lux gave chase. Lux eventually caught Amund, while Wolffish and their daughter fled. Lux's herd was taken over by Vlad and Ursula (xxx Yuki Bear xxx), and any prisoners they caught—including Amund—were thrown into the Pit. After Amund and Wolffish's daughter, Morana (Bluedemonwolf), grows, she makes it her mission to rescue her mother.
Amund, upon seeing the young and wounded Mayu and remembering her own daughter, adopts her. She heals Mayu's wounds and teachers her how to live in the Pit before they are rescued by Morana and co.
[Plot how escape happens with relevant parties, including Yuki (can let us know the feasibility of escape plan; in addition, she owns Mayu's sibling), Zaikt (owns Mayu's sibling), and Yushika (owns Morana's adoptive mother).]
Mayu and Morana form a relationship. Related plots to pursue include:
Wolffish and Nsia's reunion with Amund. Amund dealing with the trauma of her experiences, as well as the fact that she never got to be a part of her daughter's upbringing. Mayu's reunion with her family.
The two run into the rude, catcalling stallions Angra Mainyu (Bluedemonwolf) and Bastion (Bluedemonwolf). Morana is quick to bring them in line. Over time, the four of them form a relationship with one another.

Summary of Discord discussion with -MoomoolatteCha-, regarding Reaver Sinclair x Evangeline.
Reaver comes across seemingly emotionless Evangeline (-MoomoolatteCha-) during one of her travels. Reaver has had experience with closed off individuals in the past and fostered a soft spot for them ever since; she takes special interest in Eva and visits the mare whenever she's in the area. At one point, Eva reveals her interest in flowers. When Reaver next visits, she comes bearing a number of potted flowers, having selected them with care to ensure they'd thrive in the area without growing invasive.
Eventually, Reaver conveniently decides the dynamics of the nearby herd is a perfect candidate for her independent study, allowing her to stay in the region for a longer period of time.
The two are able to spend much more time together after that, becoming fast friends. Shortly after she has settled in, Reaver returns to their shared lodgings to find Eva had been bulled for her strange, detached manner (the perpetrator henceforth referred to as "Bully"). Reaver knows she is a stranger to the area (though she had passed by before, her focus had only ever been Eva); even so, she asks for Eva's permission to retaliate. Eva gives it, and Reaver soon finds herself tracking Bully back home, and harms them in kind. Bully's friends come to the rescue however, and though Reaver's training ultimately allows her to prevail, it is not without cost. She limps back home.
Eva has no experience with healing, but she learns for Reaver's sake. Though Reaver can barely move, and Eva's ministrations are rough with inexperience, she thinks she has never felt happier.
Their peace is cut short when Bully returns with a larger group of friends. The two are caught by surprise and nearly pay for it with their lives. However, the two succeed in driving them off.
Eva, having nearly lost Reaver twice, realizes she loves the mare and admits her past and the reason for her apathy: her previous lover murdered her family.
Reaver sympathizes; during her rite of passage she came across a Skinwalker that murdered her herdmate—her sister in all but blood—and she knows of the powerlessness one feels as witness.
The two recover with time.
Eventually they're gifted with children of their own.
Daughters will be raised in the Code of Edda. Eva is okay with this; all that matters to her is that their children are safe. Sons may be co-parented by the two; in this case, Reaver would look for additional help from the herd she is studying, as she is very much a believer of the saying that "it takes a village to raise a child."

Summary of Discord discussion with Valdmir Talamore, regarding Lyarra Stark x Ulfric.
After Lyra left home, she took up work as a mercenary. She had small jobs here and there, but she was ultimately hired to work for traveling party of Laurent, the heir-prince of House Farelle. It was not her name that earned her the position beneath the lauded house—none knew her as the runaway Stark, or even suspected—but her service. Indeed, she was not even hired as a sellsword, for House Farelle had soldiers enough, but as an extra set of paws to help with the digging of latrines and other menial labor.
The last thing she expected was to be anywhere near the heir-apparent, but when a well-planned ambush splintered the party from within, the two were captured and made prisoner with others of the group. Laurent was quickly separated for ransom; Lyra and the rest were taken for slaves. They spent weeks traveling to their captor's base, but days before they reached their destination, their escorts grew sloppy and Lyra was able to swipe a dagger and set her group free. Laurent was better guarded, but that mattered little once she got her paws on a sword. Soon, all of them were on the run.
Lyra used every ounce of her training to overpower or outmaneuver their enemies, and she was helped by the other soldiers of the group and even Laurent. Although a startling portion of them were recaptured or killed, they ran across Laurent's rescue party within days and managed to reunite with his traveling party. From there, they returned directly to his kingdom.
Their time together—first as prisoners, then as travelers—gave them ample opportunity to grow close to one another despite the (assumed) differences in station. Even so, Lyra was taken by surprise when she, along with the other once-imprisoned soldiers, were offered positions in his guard. She knew she had responsibilities towards her family; she could not spend the majority of her life in his lands as expected of a royal guard, especially when his views of her were founded on lies and a fabricated past. She knew this... and yet, she loved him. When he asked again, she accepted.
Before she could even consider working her way out of the situation, the kingdom was thrown into turmoil. The Farelles had been at war with their neighbors, the Pythenians, for some time—and the Pythenians had recruited the newly discovered ulun'suti. With surprise on their side, the Pythenians dealt a devastating blow to Farelle's armies, with the death of their sole ruler, Laurent's mother, among them. Leadership would have fallen automatically to Laurent if his once-banished uncle, Titus, hadn't chosen that time to return, with the power of a desperately-needed army behind him. Titus promised his help, but at a cost: if victorious, he was to be crowned ruler.
Loyalty was fractured between the uncle who promised safety and protection, and the heir who was young and untested but true. Laurent would not hesitate to sacrifice himself for his people; however, knowing his uncle had been banished for treachery, he could not trust that he would be leaving his kingdom in honorable hands. Lyra was no stranger to politics, and when many of Laurent's advisors switched sides, she went to his aid once more, guiding him through the volatile waters. In the process, he discovered her true identity as a Stark—and when their efforts bore fruit and the people were united behind him, he announced her his queen and the leader of his armies.
In response, Titus joined his forces to the Pythenians, and Laurent and Lyra worked together to prevent their kingdom from being captured.
Quote:
Plot with XxXPandamoniumXxX's Virtus Omnibus Rebus Anteit, Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, Amelia, and Snake Root Boneblossom, and Ryuukishin's Lyarra Stark, Maleficent, Lutharil Lorekeeper, and ??? to defend against the Pythenians, if Panda is interested.
Titus was not a cruel leader, or even a deceitful one. He was falsely accused, and misguidedly believed Laurent played a part in setting him up. Even after his banishment, he never stopped working towards the betterment of the kingdom. He looked after potential choke points and sent his finest warriors to be recruited as soldiers under the Farelle banner; it was only his sister's death and Laurent's rise to power that prompted him to return. He joined the Pythenians under the condition that he would be given rule of a conquered Farelle and that his people would not be harmed—though, by necessity, the soldiers and Laurent would be exempt.
Ulfric (Valdmir Talamore) was one of the stallions in Titus' army. Too young to reasonably expect to lead his birth pack, but too old to think it impossible, he always sought to compensate by being short-tempered and quick to fight. He carried this with him even after his pack disbanded—in fact, he was recruited in Titus' army only after he got into a brawl with some of their soldiers. He managed enough self-discipline to climb up the ranks, and eventually earned the role of commander. It was because of this that, when Titus and the rulers of Pythenians were invited to peace talks, Ulfric was allowed admittance as a guard.
It is there that he and Lyra first met. Though tempered and refined during his years of service with Titus, he had never had a strong history for deferring to authority. When he was given an opportunity to speak, his words came with an almost insulting undercurrent, though the language itself was polite and flattering. Lyra executed a riposte, and the two continued in this manner even after the parties broke for the afternoon meal. Lyra enjoyed the competition, and she thought even Ulfric might, too—but before they could resume discussing their possible treaty, a small explosion went off, and the two sides were at war once again.
Following in the steps of the queen before her, Lyra did not retreat: she battled at the head of her warriors, and soon found herself trading blows with Ulfric. The two were fairly matched, and evenly wounded, too. They fell at the same time, too weak to stand—and only then did they realize the path of their clash had taken them straight to the center of walker territory. They knew the scent of blood would draw the creatures, and they were forced to work together to even harbor a hope of getting out alive.
The two collaborated surprisingly well: although their injuries slowed them considerably, and the presence of walkers often times forced them to circle back, they were able to support one another and avoid contact with the walkers entirely for a week—or so they'd assumed. A walker ambushed them at the edge of the territory; Ulfric countered the blow, at great cost to himself, claiming only he was entitled to kill Lyra. When Lyra immediately countered a second ambush, she claimed likewise.
With both walkers dealt with, the two limped back to their respective kingdoms.
The events at the peace talks taught the Farelles that they could not risk losing another queen. Still, she was allowed to lead her armies when the benefit of raising morale was thought greater than the risk she faced. Years passed. She and Ulfric saw one another many times, though the encounters were brief, and often bloody. One day Ulfric realized he hadn't seen her in some time, and he feared he'd killed her—but a year later she returned, stronger, he thought, than ever. The relief he felt was dizzying.
While Lyra might have strengthened, however, the same could not be said of her kingdom. The Farelles had started with a disadvantage, and despite their great efforts their forces had been eroded away. Ulfric had not been surprised to hear the castle fell—though he was surprised by the disappointment in his heart.
Laurent was executed. The remains of Farelle's army were killed or scattered. Lyra, it was said, abandoned her people. When she was inevitably caught, she was imprisoned. Ulfric visited, but she did not even speak with him. (How long ago had it been since their battle of wits?) It was not until he unlocked her prison door on a moonless night that she even acknowledged the stallion, shocked. The two snuck out of the territory together, their actions as fine-tuned for one another as the time they had bested the walkers. Even so, as soon as they were clear, she gave him only the briefest of thanks before vanishing into the trees.
Quote:
Depending on plots with Panda, Ulfric might have had more help in the form of Lyra's Farelle companions. If so, they would have left with her.
Once his treachery was discovered, Ulfric had no choice but to flee himself. It was in the forests surrounding the Farelle territory that he discovered the reason for Lyra's disappearances, both in the middle of the war and after her escape: a foal that was unmistakably the product of her and Laurent. It recognized Ulfric as an enemy and was only quelled into submission after it put up a fight. Ulfric had lived through a war an active soldier, but he didn't think he'd faced an obstacle as challenging as keeping a foal on leash: he could barely prevent it from running off as he sought out its mother. They were all being pursued by the Pythenians for one reason or another however, and soon it grew too risky for them to search any longer. Despite the years that had passed, Ulfric still remembered his week with Lyra and the snowy home she spoke of. With nowhere else to go, he took the foal and started north.
Progress was slow. The foal was very young, and could not travel much or often. They had to lay low, for Titus and the Pythenians both knew of the heir and sent out search parties. Even when he finally reached the mountains months later, he only had a vague description to go off of, marred by time and memory.
Eventually, the Starks found them. They were mistrustful of Ulfric at first, especially after hearing of the part he played in the fall of the Farelles. He had grown close with the foal during their travels, however; many had mistaken the two for father and child, and after some time it simply became natural for the lonely foal to accept him as a parent. While Ulfric had rejected it at first, even he had ultimately changed, finally letting go of his need to prove himself to the world to look after the foal. When their bond was made clear, they were both taken in.
Back in the forests of the Farelle kingdom, Lyra had been heading the resistance against the Pythenians. Though by then the Pythenians' search for the heir was public knowledge, the number of false finds—and near captures, when she went to investigate—forced her to assume it was a ruse to draw her out of hiding. Grown bitter by the murder of both husband and child, she became an unstoppable, indomitable force that conceded the Pythenians no peace despite their victory.
One way or another, Lyra discovers her foal is safe at home. She goes to confirm it for herself, and is surprised to find Ulfric. Ulfric is brought in to her cause, and his intimate knowledge of the Pythenians proves valuable. (See if Summer, Panda, and Vald want to plot the takeover.) The resistance is successful and the Pythenians are defeated. Titus is either defeated or agrees to serve under Lyra and the rightful heir. Lyra and Ulfric are still formal with one another. The foal had to deal with Ulfric's pining when they traveled together, and is long past exasperated when Lyra begins to do the same in their castle. The foal eventually pushes them together, and they can finally acknowledge their love.

Record of Discord discussion with DaerilS, regarding Kestrel x Chauvet. Posted with permission.
Quote:
Thoughts on this guy? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a354/soquilipets/oneoverthree/Certs/SSS_Ryuukishin.jpg He's a feral babbin so he might come off as simple but it's more a reflection of the fact that he wasn't very socialized than his actual mental capability :joy: He'll likely follow around anyone subject to his affections with a ton of courtly rituals (dancing, gifting, grooming) :ok_hand: Any love from him wouldn't be long lasting though; he'd lose interest over time
Quote:
American Kestrels are my favorite birds, by the way. XD He sounds like a sweetheart, all things considered. Chauv would probably try to drive him off for a while before giving into the companionship. Chauv I think would also be heartbroken with him leaving, but he'd understand. He doesn't understand monogamy as a concept and might have moved on eventually on his own.
Quote:
HAHA Kestrel just brings him a fresh skunk "I remember you said you wanted to be alone" (not getting the hint that it's referring to him, bye) "so I brought you this" RIGHT THO!! They're so beautiful ;o; And Chauv sounds so cute, dang!!
Quote:
I think he'd get exasperated to the point of acceptance. That acceptance would then turn to affection. God they are gorgeous!

Summary of Discord discussion with Fuzzy-Gumdrop, regarding Rán x Kazimir. This also includes Kaveri's (Fuzzy-Gumdrop) plot outline; however, the character is not mine, and the final details are up to her owner. It is recorded here for reference only.
Kazimir (Fuzzy-Gumdrop) was intrigued by Rán's strength and targeted her, at first to play mind games for his amusement, and, later, to mother his offspring. He played to her chivalrous side, acting kind and honorable to earn her trust, and he was even invited to a few outings with her best friend, Heliotrope (Kyrieko).
Rán's upbringing gave her little notion of the conventional values of love; like Kaz, she was only interested in bringing back new, worthy members for her female-oriented herd and easily acknowledged his prowess. She consented to the union, on the condition that he make no claims to any daughters. Kaz agreed.
It was only when she was close to giving birth that he revealed his true intentions: he would not be satisfied with only sons when he could have them all. He knew Rán and Helio were close, and that they often visited one another. By claiming Helio had received a scare nearby and was in the middle of a panic attack, he lured Rán from the safety of her herd, insisting that anyone else would send Helio into shock and that only Rán could soothe her. Separated from her friends, he led her to a concealed cave and imprisoned her for the duration of her pregnancy.
It was to be her first brood, and though her herd was concerned, Rán had recklessly charged in defense of her friend enough times—even without the fervent moods that came with her pregnancy—that it wasn't seen as unusual. They sent out a few search parties, but didn't grow frantic until the real Helio visited a few days later.
The sounds of their search reached Kaz as Rán finished giving birth, and he dove for the children. Rán repelled him, but she was too weak to do so for long: he grabbed the nearest basket and rushed out as the first herdmate peered into the cave. Though pursued both by land and by air, he avoided capture and ultimately made it home with his ill-gotten prize.
Quote:
Helio feels some responsibility for what happened; she was anguished by the way her weakness was used to manipulate her friend, and strove to be tougher!! Rán and Kaz develop a vendetta; they are a reminder of each other's failures. Rán had been confident to the point of arrogance, and she felt bitter and shamed to be conned. The daughters will be raised as valkyries in the Code of Edda. The stolen son will be taken to Kaz's mother, Prosperina (Roniel), and raised in the family unit.

KAVERI
Kaveri (Fuzzy-Gumdrop) and Riven were naturally inclined to violence. The herd channeled this energy and reared them as hunters; however, simply killing animals to feed the herd didn't seem to be enough to sate their needs. They had a disagreement which escalated until Kaveri was seen almost killing her twin, and there was enough deliberation in the act that the other herdmates were shocked and disgusted. Killing another valkyrie was seen as breaking a sacred law, and Kaveri came too close for comfort.
Horrified by her behavior, Kaveri searched for the source of her "disease." She soon came across her biological grandmother: a mare so affected by her parent's genes she was unable to kill. Was it possible Kaveri, too, was subject to the primal urges of her blood? It was not long after that she caught sight of a stranger near their territory, the patterns of his soft blue coat and blood-red traits suggesting more than just a passing familiarity. By then, the herd's discomfort towards her had grown nearly hostile. She took the opportunity to claim she would travel to broaden her knowledge, and tracked the stallion—her blood brother—to his home.
They bonded quickly, sharing their love of the hunt and the kill. When she was introduced to her biological father, the stallion encouraged her violent tendencies. It was effortless and natural: could it truly be such a sin? Separated from her herd and all she'd known, she adopted their views more easily, perhaps, than she would have otherwise.
While she traveled with her brother, they only hunted small prey for they'd had no time to dawdle over larger fare. Now that she was within his territory, they progressively moved to larger game, even going so far as to harass other soquili. One was captured and tortured for weeks, but it didn't occur to her to question the morality of it. At least, not until she pushed too far. Once again her brutality escalated outside her control, and she was repulsed to find she'd killed the soquili.
She was a valkyrie: to kill those unworthy of the honor was an unforgivable crime. She was Tainted.
The revelation brought her to her senses: realizing the horrors of what she'd allowed herself to become, she lashed out against her biological family and returned to her herd.
Quote:
She reunites with Riven and they make up with one another. She eventually comes to heal and better address her savage urges. As part of the above, she grows to accept that, perhaps, the soquili she killed had been worthy. If not at first, then the weeks of torture she had put it through ensured it deserved something better in the next life. This causes her to hope that she isn't Tainted, although the worry is always at the back of her mind.

RAN x KAZ REUNITED
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. This quote rings true, much to their chagrin, when Rán and Kaz face a common adversary. Hunting their foe is a task requiring many weeks, and during that time, they're reminded of what they admired in one another. Kaz makes multiple advances throughout their search; he shows her how fine their son has grown, how tenacious. However, Rán refuses to be tricked again. She rebuffs all his attempts—all, but the last.
Her mother is known throughout the herd for her inability to kill: a deficiency born of her powerful unicorn blood. Rán hopes to avoid the same in her own progeny, and all her children by Kaz have proven themselves eager for the kill. When their hunt comes to a successful close, she finds herself suddenly receptive to his attentions, and when she leaves she is determined to prevent him from having her offspring again.
She is well guarded; she does not leave the protection of the herd when her children are born, and her herdmates know to keep an extra eye on them. She thinks they are safe—until they grow to adulthood and travel outside the herd. One is captured, tortured, and broken. They are reconditioned to follow Kaz's will, and when Kaz next comes across Rán's path, he fully intends to flaunt the result.
