"If they really killed her like this, they'd probably have an uprising on their hands," says Johanna flatly. "Don't want that, do they?" She throws back her head and shouts, "Whole country in rebellion? Wouldn't want anything like that!"
Meaning of (name): Character from Suzanne Collin's The Hunger Games trilogy.
Johanna is the feminine given name deriving from Koine Greek Ἰωάννα Iōanna from Hebrew יוֹחָנָה Yôḥānnāh meaning "God is gracious"
Johanna-- "Gift from God". Mason--Stone or brick work.
Aliases: Jo, 'Anna, Victor, Various Expletives
Date Found: February 7, 2012 (February 3, 2012 WIP received) Found:Gift from Mal Date of Maxing: August 1, 2013
Temper: Scathing--biting, sarcastic Breed: Victor of the 69th Hunger Games Breed Appearance: Half-Kalona Height: 16 Hands Personality:
Johanna Mason is cunning and gutsy. Able to hide herself behind a mask of indifference, she rarely lets anyone see the pain or sadness that is sometimes lurking beneath the surface (perhaps more than we know). She is obsessed with vengeance and prideful.
She has a "wicked ability to murder" and is terse with words. She's sarcastic and grating. The things she cares for, though she professes there is nothing left, she will protect at all costs. Above all she is a fighter, who would spit in the face of her enemies if it suited her--no matter what the cost after.
She can be spiteful and hurtful. Without a doubt, she is selfish (perhaps less so than she let's on). Johanna has few redeeming qualities, except her fierce and unfailing loyalty.
The epitome of a "loose cannon".
Quirks/Character Traits: ✶ Her family might not all be dead, they could be alive. ✶ Due to future plots involving torture, she has an aversion to water ✶ Pinestraw reminds of her home ✶ Likes to get NAKED! ✶ Basically grew up wielding an axe ✶ Has vowed to find and Kill Snow ✶ Finnick Odair was her best friend (current status?)
Backstory:
Johanna Mason was born in a part of the Kawani lands named Panem. Under the evil rule of President Snow, the twelve districts of Panem were forced to send one male and one female soquilli, into an arena guarded by Ulun'suti and Kalona, to fight to the death.
During the year that she was chosen, Johanna Mason pretended to be weak. She sobbed and played people's emotions, even her partner Wren who wanted to protect her. During the games, it soon became apparent how deadly she was. Wren came to her as he was dying, and she dispatched his killers then killed him so that he would not suffer the long, protracted death of his wound. All the memories of her brother Liam dying years before came rushing back to her.
Finally, she killed the final opponent and was crowned victor--but with that came responsibilities that were difficult to accept. Each year, she would have to mentor more children from her district and watch them die. She wanted to refuse, but her worry for her fiance Ivan, her grandmother and siblings, Greta and Sven kept her from rejecting the conditions of Snow's offer.
When she arrived home, however Johanna found that her grandmother and siblings were dead. She believes it is retribution in some way from Snow. Kept in line, her eventual break-up ends with her rejecting Snow's conditions since she thinks no one can hurt her anymore.
She is proven wrong when Ivan is beaten to death before her eyes. Attacking Snow, she takes a tumble losing her and Ivan's child, her last connection to hope or love.
Eventually, the 75th games calls back the previous victors and she is forced into the arena once again

As you all are probably aware by now we set and met a goal of getting 500 soquili RPed for starts in July. Well I'm here to tell you that we actually made it to 561 soquili. (Which is partially why I'm so tired right now.) So well done!
It should come as no surprise to anyone that such a lofty target would end up with more than a few faces maxed out. So let's have a round of applause for Sheria, Farsiris, Paramekia, Bailey, Musso Koroni, Amira, Yseult, Araycaria, Johanna Mason, Lament, Chane, Mahdi, Hinote, Kadira Nym, Kreyate, Nyamuragira, Gaston, Sunset's Coda, Guinevere and Raven!
Also (at the request of the owner) Tefla's Echo's Song maxed out a couple years ago (before I took over) and was not included in the post of maxed out soquili. So a very belated congratulations to Echo's Song!
After breaking out of the Games, Johanna was captured and held in the Capitol with Peeta Mellark by the slaver Morsmordre and Ulun'suti guards. Eventually they escape, scarred mentally and physically.
Johanna began playing a game the moment she was Reaped for the Hunger Games. She thought that by making herself weak, she would be underestimated. And she was right, except for Avan.
The little mouse made her a hot beverage of pine needles, just like from home. Silenced and made into an Avox (one who's tongue is removed and cannot speak), he has become one of the few that she trusts. He's the only one she can't fool.
They share tender moments of communication in their own language. They would die for each other. Sometimes, they think they already have.
Somewhere out there, he hopes his brother still lives.
Elitist and angry, Morsmordre never met a problem she couldn't solve. She has very few scruples. In her mind, the only thing on par with being a pure-blooded kalona is being a Ulun'suti. She has an inferiority complex since she does have wings and often questions her worth secretly while giving off a nonchalant air
She peddles flesh and does whatever is required to prove her loyalty to her Master. Loyalty is prized above all else except for purity. She is cold and calculating with many enemies waiting to kill her.
Quirks/Character Traits: ✶ Is an elitist for kalona and ulun'suti purebloods though she is not one herself (Loathes that she is not) ✶ She is vicious and will argue anything for the sake of it. ✶ Would do anything for AV
Backstory:
Morsmordre was born to a Kalona mother and Regular father. Their mother disgraced with what she'd done left them. Of the two foals, Morsmordre received all the kalona traits sans wings while her brother Knochen got nothing. She views him as inferior to her because of this.
Later in life, she discovered she had a half-brother Haxan who is a pure-blooded kalona. All three siblings share bone markings. Desperate to please him, she hates here own inferiority of not having wings. That desperation makes her slightly bitter towards him.
Her hero worship lead her to falling in love with Avada Kedavra. She become his servant and consort. Eager to please him, she is constantly building up business arrangements and selling slaves to further their cause.

exclaimStats and bonus stats have been added for the month of August! exclaim If you see any errors, would like to know why you did not receive stats, or have any stat related questions please PM Nisshou H.
The following soquili maxed out: Corsant, Amaltheia, ShadowMoonLea, Mariasha, Relic, Dita, Gwendolen, Morsmordre, Alyse Everlost, Rezo the Red Priest, Valkyrie, Yayo'jin, Aolani, Fantome and Malice. Congratulations you guys!
Bonus stat questions are temporarily on hold.
The Continuing Story...
Morsmordre has sold various slaves including Umeko and telling Alma that she was dead. She also held Johanna Mason and Peeta Mellark captive. She brokered the deal that brought Viveka to the Storybook Clan, who then sent a message to her master by attacking her with intentions of killing.
She fled and kept fighting them, but escaped into hiding to heal, anxious that her master would be very angry indeed.
Just like his master, Serpensortia has no kindness in him. Others are meant to be slaves or masters, nothing else. And he intends to make them all slaves along with Morsmordre. Hissing and venomous, he is Morsmordre's most trusted friend. Often, they work in perfect synchronization and hiss in their own language at each other.
Zatarra is steady as a heartbeat. He is sweet and a little shy. As a foal he was slower to fly than his siblings, in part because he felt guilty that his mother was earthbound. Once his mother freed him of the guilt she did not know he was carrying, he became a good flier.
There's always been a bit of poetry in him and something unquenchable that burns in him to explore the wide world beyond. He feels guilty for leaving, but his mother bids him to go. He cannot spend his life worried only for others. Zatarra takes to the wind to find his future and some gallant/knightly adventures.
Quirks/Character Traits: ✶ Training to be a knight ✶ Loves open spaces, goats, and adventures ✶ Makes and recites poetry. ✶ Is instilled with a cautious fear of fire. ✶ Broken leg healed well but still aches and causes a slight limp in cold weather.
Backstory:
Zatarra was born to Acacia and Zaitus after a brief fling--both parent's being in love with someone else.
By the time Acacia confessed her love to Banzai, she'd just found out she was pregnant and she thought that Banzai would never be able to love her. For Banzai, it didn't matter. They'd not been together then, and he could not fault her for what she'd done. He had kids of his own already too.
So Zatarra was born into an unconventional and thriving family.

The Continuing Story...
Guilty about leaving behind his mother, Zatarra stayed knowing the grief it would cause her to have him off in the world to worry about. Ultimately, she made him go and told him to live his life, all she needed was for him to visit or send word that he was okay, he was safe, and he was still himself.
With that Zatarra went into the big world and started training his wings to fly better and further his knightly training. On the way home, he encounters a beautiful mare in a snowstorm that changes his whole life.
Xara.
They meet on the eve of a snowstorm and he breaks his leg. She heals him the best she can but they're trapped in a cave for several days while the storm passes. By the time it does, they've admitted their feelings for each other and Zatarra has promised to be the eyes for his love. They both have a history of issues with fire.
