Physical Description: Norna is a fairly unshapely person, who resembles a teenage boy more than a woman. She has pale skin and pale hair that's cut, unevenly, to her chin. She has a scar on her lower lip and when she smiles, it's obvious she's missing at least part of one tooth and the entirety of another. She has several burn marks along her back and shoulder - signs of threadscore. There are some lingering mauling scars from Hatchlings and she's missing two fingers (pinky and ring) on her non-dominant hand.
Personality: And still they persisted. Norna's body tells a much more thorough story of herself than she does, preferring the let the past be the past. Bad things happen, we move on. The glass may be half full or half empty, but you won't be going thirsty either way. With this readiness to face life, there's very little that Norna won't tackle - both physically and emotionally. She's covered with signs of a busy and very much un-tied-back lifestyle. Want her to do something that could potentially break a limb? Sure thing - as long as it's fun and not just mindlessly daring. She doesn't need to show off for anybody, after all, and part of it may simply be that her poor, sweet, Cheruth is a bundle of anxiety and needs her to not constantly give her a heart attack.

If Norna has a thought, she's going to share it with you. Does she think your haircuit was a bad idea? Does she think your flit is misbehaving? Does she think you need to keep your dragon in line? She'll definitely let you know - and not exactly subtly. Does she think your attractive and would like you in her bed? Yep, still forward. Backlash is treated with a cheery dismissal - everything is fine. This is fine! Got punched in the face? Less fine, but hey, she probably deserved it! Did it change her opinion? Not at all. Once Norna is rooted in a thought, she's rooted so deeply even Thread couldn't move her.

Despite her cheerful, friendly demeanor, Norna doesn't really want to do much of anything with her life. She likes to follow the tides and even Cheruth can't get her perked up and going. She has very few true interests, and only took up her craft because she enjoyed learning to read the clouds - a trait that helps keep her and hers out of flying during bad weather. Fighting Thread isn't for her kind, after all, so why even put up the pretenses of being interested?

History: There is no record of which Weyr Norna and Cheruth originated at, and frankly, neither of them offer up that information. All she offers up is that she was some semblance of whole before her first Hatching, less whole the second, and there was no third. Cheruth will offer up tales of being scared inside of her egg and simply calling out, against all hopes, that perhaps one Candidate would stay behind to save her: and one big, brave, broken woman did, helping her free herself.

The broken candidate and the pathetic dragon. They were quite the pair, but once Norna was confident in both Cheruth's ability to fly and the security of the riding straps she'd made, the two left. Thread wasn't impending, and really it had been made clear that the traditions that some Weyrs adhered to didn't want them. Norna will say it was Cheruth's rising stress of being in such environments that spurred the decision. Cheruth will say it was Norna's curiosity in changing weather patterns as well as being socially spurned that drove them away. Their story isn't coordinated.

The two were visiting a Hold when the first Threadfall came, and while neither were equipped to fight it, Norna knew enough to advise - but she was scored in the process - wounds which still ache now. The local healer was able to numb the pain and treat them to the best of their abilities, but the incident made Cheruth grow anxious: She needed to get hers to a Weyr and fast. Norna refused and the pair often find it their singular point of contention. Instead, Norna has doubled up on her studies to see if perhaps she can find the warning signs she needs in order to properly trace when, where, and how heavily Thread is going to fall.

Cheruth just wishes she'd do it somewhere safer.
Other: I've purposely left their origin Weyr unnamed in case of future plotting. Also she would and does trade her information TO Weyrs as she finds anything useful. She just doesn't live at one.

Physical Description: Cheruth may be plain looking, but for a white they are big! Their wings seem to be smaller by proportion, but they would still suit any white well. With small wings come small shoulders and riding on this white is actually only a task for the very brave or the very resourceful.
Personality: Oh, oh, oh oh! OH OH OH. Cheruth is an overly nervous little dragon with separation issues. Almost always clinging to hers, having the woman pass out of sight is perhaps the highest of disasters in Cheruth's life and she will always wait with baited breath for hers to return. The world is a scary place and people are mean - Cheruth is nearly certain of this and she is only trying to make sure her dearest Norna is safe. However, without Norna's seize-the-day attitude, Cheruth would never get out the door. Less inclined to vocalize her own problems, Cheruth is both terrified and relieved when hers is there to vocalize it for her.

Despite not being built for it, one of the few things that this white can trust wholeheartedly is the sky and this pair loves to sail through it, finding new destinations to explore (or be lead nervously through). This dragon loves to watch the clouds and find shapes in them together with hers. Where the real world is scary, Cheruth is daring enough to daydream for the future of kinder tides - or at least daydream about what the future would be like if she were a bolder dragon.

Friends are a cautious topic, and usually one is designated as 'safe to hide behind' far sooner than 'friend', but Cheruth is a polite dragon, though a stuttering one. She can't get a single sentence out of her brain without practically tripping over it. But she tries her best and maybe, if she dares to dream, she'll find people who don't mind that about her. Those kept in Cheruth's company, however, will find all of their secrets and insecurities safe - and their very being, as well. This white would sooner Between than betray or lead astray.
