The elevator had been her first obstacle. There had been trepidation and reluctance to even step into it, and even the motion of it made her a tad ill. She was uneasy as she stepped out, but at least leaving for the Amazon was something of a comfort. It had been some time since she'd been to the Amazon.

And apparently...that was a mistake.

Golden eyes widened at the sight before her. The forest..where did it go? It had been so magnificent before. Where were the trees? Sure, there were..some but not nearly as many as there should have been.

Oh, how she detested humans.

The first one she stumbled upon was fascinating, at least. His red welts immediately had her interest, and the man stopped and stared at her as she revealed herself to him.

The stink near floored him and Borr decided that the human woman put up enough of a fight that he couldn't quite deal anymore.

He fled the bathroom, stumbling and coughing his way out into the forest and back towards the portal. He'd acquired captives and that's all that mattered in the long run.

There was nothing at the next place, except the remains of an old...fortress? Building. Something. He couldn't tell, and didn't really care to learn, Mengyao continuing onwards.

Mengyao stalked off, thoroughly annoyed by now.

There was something watching him.

Mengyao gave it a long, contemplative look before slowly drawing his bow and arrow - which he still couldn't quite figure out, if someone hadn't, in fact, instructed him in this very thing just a short while ago.

He missed.

This was, for the most part, unsurprising.

The creature stared meaningfully back at him.

This was not going well.

The snake was mocking him.

Mengyao gave up on trying to shoot it and went to kick it instead, for good measure.

And now he had a snake.

What he would do with said snake remained to be seen, but, well. At least he had it. And apparently a strange, pink colored drink that he somehow managed to acquire after discussing things with several of the humans on the beach he stumbled across.

That was also not how he had planned for things to go.
