Hour 4, Roll 4:
Hour 4, Roll 5:
Hour 4, Roll 6:

Samodith was good at this, not that either of them had had any doubts that she would be. The green was an absolutely ferocious fighter, divong and wheeling and flaming without any hesitation, which was quite a ride to be along for. Fortunately, Akaris had been diligent about their straps, so however great the risks were, that aspect at least was of little concern. They swooped after another tangle of Thread, burning it to ash before it could harm one of their classmates.

6. Your adrenaline is pumping and you feel fit to fight! Whatever fears or worries you have, you’re absolutely ready to take the world by storm. Your dragon wheels and dives, and you wind up successfully flaming some strands. Of course, you also find yourself suddenly dangling in some mighty precarious positions as your dragon avoids getting smacked by a tangle of Thread. The straps you so valiantly worked on are the only thing keeping you from plummeting to your death. Let’s hope Thread doesn’t latch onto those thick leathers… and if they do, that your backup security straps work! Thankfully, as the fight continues, you focus on what’s important--flaming down Thread. If white, green, or blue, you wind up saving one of your wingmates thanks to your impressive quick wingwork! Damage Save Quote a wingmate and save them from the damage they would take.

16. Things start off slow, but you manage to catch a few strands of Thread. For the most part, you realize that things seem to be a mix of quiet followed by moments of stress. You catch a solid tangle, but another few strands fall through. You find it's tricky when there are entire groups falling overhead together, and you find yourself struggling to make the right choice on what to catch. In one instance, you almost singe a wingmate by forgetting your airspace. Rookie mistake! [If you roll this 3 times, you actually find yourself burning a wingmate. Quote a weyrling and have them take -5 HP from burn damage! The counter then resets.]

Slidrianth nearly hissed with frustration as he angled his head upward, neck swaying as he tried to focus on the strands raining from above. At D'zrak's urging, he managed to char some of it--but stayed too far out of position again and nearly flamed a wingmate! This was supposed to be his time to shine, and he was finding it.... difficult!

They'd done such a fabulous job sweeping up Thread that, for a few moments at least, there was none left for them to fight. Hah! They were so good they made this look easy. But the sudden lull was a bit...boring, honestly. Come on already!

Quote:
Things are actually quiet. Very quiet. In fact, you find yourself flying mostly dead space. Nothing seems to come your way and you find yourself thinking a lot. Just you and your thoughts. Is this really Threadfall? Somehow you thought it was going to be a lot more dangerous, or at least, with less time to think. Things do pick up with a few gusts and you and your dragon manage to flame down some stray Thread successfully, without missing any filaments. Yes! Not too bad at all! Unfortunately, the silence grips you once more and it's just you and your dragon. Boredom [If this is your third time rolling this prompt, you will become less-vigilant. Your next roll will double damage =or=, if no damage taken, will result in a -3 HP if White, -5 HP if green, -6 HP if blue, - 7 HP if brown,or - 8 HP if bronze]

Now this was more like it! Slidrianth swooped dramatically, his enormous, beautiful wings making quite the spectacle as he flamed. D'zrak checked his straps after another dizzying spin, but everything was still nice and secure.

You're able to play a bit of heroics and even manage to flame some Thread from one of your struggling fellows. Save Quote a wingmate and save them from damage!

Slidrianth made an alarmed sound as a sudden, savage gust of wind buffeted them, threatening to push him out of formation. D'zrak hunched low against his neck, encouraging his bronze to fight the gale. With a mighty effort, Sli managed to keep his place--and even twisted to use the wind to his advantage, flaming down Thread that was drifting closer to his struggling wingmates.

Perhaps it was that they were nearing the end of their run. Or perhaps it was that they were tired of being less than stellar, but whatever it was, they were on fire. With their adrenaline high, and their moods even higher, they were performing the way they were always meant to. They shone.

After a particularly dizzying spin, Faranie double-checked her straps. Straps which had loosened slightly at the beginning of the Fall had released, but luckily all her back-ups had held. It was good. It was enough.

Well Dearest Heart, let's finish this out as we should have been the entire time. As the stars we are meant to be.

As we are meant to... A clump of Thread was windblown, too far out of the way for Samedith to reach in time, if he was even in the mood to risk himself or His, which he wasn't.

Look out above. It's coming your way! Move!

18. You're doing great and feeling good! Though you wind up with a few small ashburns, and you're still feeling a little anxious, nothing has gone horribly wrong. When Thread gets close, you make your move and flame it away. When you're tapped to deliver firestone, you do so with no trouble. This isn't so bad... Not at all! You're feeling good, and that's what matters. You and your dragon surely are naturals, baby! Good job! You're certain the Weyrlingmaster's have noticed your natural skill.

If his fellows weren't already aware of his natural grace and talents? Well, there was no way they could miss it now. Slidrianth's earlier anxiety was all but gone, easily flaming down Thread. D'zrak tossed firestone without any problems, and the pair was feeling quite smug about their prowess. That could change in an instant, sure... but they were the cream of the crop for a reason!

If you roll a 100 you not only successfully throw stone to a Wingleader or Wingsecond but you actually manage to save them from getting scored, thanks to some quick thinking and fancy flying on your part. It wasn’t a risk--just what team members do. On your way back, you’re also able to call out to one of you wingmates, and help them out too. What a hero you are!Save Earn a damage save to use on one of your fellow weyrlings at any point during the game!

Ah, firestone. His arm was still aching from his earlier throws, but now was the time to push through the pain! D'zrak botched one toss, much to his utter chagrin, but the other four were smooth as silk! That was when he spotted the Thread being blown right into the person he'd just successfully delivered stone to. Sli!

I see it! On your left! He trumpeted, using a burst of speed to nimbly weave closer before belching a lick of flame. The threat was reduced to smoldering ash, and D'zrak pounded a fist against his dragon's neck with proud glee.

Slidrianth dipped back down to the Weyrling wing, all but radiating smug pleasure.

A firestone run provided welcome relief from the boredom that had just been starting to creep in. They embraced the change of pace and made their way up to where it was needed, successfully delivering it to four wingriders without incident. But by the time they got to their fifth throw, well, Akaris' arm was a bit tired, and she botched the throw and had to watch in horror as the bag of stone dropped downout of anyone's reach. Hopefully it didn't hit someone?

Her second attempt was better, but given that they'd been throwing to a wingleader, that was small consolation.

Once they found the rhythm things seemed to even out. Zezo had been paying attention, even when F'enn hadn't been, and she was driven to fight, to be the best, to win... even if it was only to win being thought of as a decent green, an asset to the Weyr. They wheeled at turned, the tiny green's speed only matched by her white cousins and siblings, zipping across the formation as she was bid to fill gaps and flame thread when it threatened her larger, slower, more precious siblings. This was what she'd been shelled for, after all, and she had no resentment over that fact. She loved her family... would gladly die for them, for that love. Watch out...!
