The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

"Morning." Markus whispered softly, seeing Akila open her eyes. He chuckled as she closed them again. "Still tired?" He asked quietly.

Aleera blushed prettily. She smiled at Clorogne. "Thank you. You look handsome as always."

The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila smiled sheepishly and nodded, opening her eyes a crack to watch him through lowered lashes. Realising where her tail was, she blushed, and slowly let go of his leg.

Clorogne looked in thought before chirping, "Yep. Good, then nothing has changed." He laughed and kissed her neck again.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Markus chuckled and kissed Akila's forehead lightly. "Go back to sleep. I have some things to take care of." He rose from the bed, pulling away the feathery darkness that had surrounded them. He tucked Akila back in with a blanket.

Aleera laughed quietly. "Good. I should hate to not wake up to this handsome face." She trailed a hand lightly down his cheek.

Akila nodded a little, and closed her eyes again, slowly she fell back into her slumber. She had been exhausted without even realising it. Surely only about an hour more and she would be fully energised.

Clorogne nodded, sitting up and pulling her into his lap, "Nor I for yours."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Markus smiled, watching her sleep. She looked so peaceful and innocent. With a sigh, he slipped out of the room. Back to the gruesome reality of planning a war.......His face hardened as he began his day, meeting and planning with various people.

Aleera giggled, wrapping her arms around Clorogne's neck. "You flatter me, love." She said playfully.

Clorogne grinned, "I speak the truth." He stood, holding her against him. He'd have to help out today.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

"Still flattery." Aleera siad teasingly. She laid her head on his shoulder, relaxing against him. She was quiet for a long moment, then sighed. "I suppose the sun is already up and we should be going."

"I suppose it could be." Clorogne admitted, and kissed her again, "Can't we pretend it's dark for just a little longer, my love." He complained.

Akila slept soundly for about another hour and a half before even starting to wake. She sat up slowly, stretching before clutching the blankets around her. Let's see....Markus was already gone to work with his people....maybe she could explore the tunnels.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

"For you love? Anything." Aleera agreed in a purr, returning the kiss.

The tunnels seemed infinite, stretching in every direction. Occasionally, new tunnels connected in. From the looks of the walls, many of these tunnels were here before the rebels moved in. Other tunnels though, looked carved. Everywhere, doors or curtains sectioned off the rooms from the halls.

Clorogne nuzzled his face into her neck after the kiss, nipping the skin lightly.

Akila wandered the halls mutely, sticking to the main hall, so she wouldn't get lost. She had left a note in Markus' room, just in case though. It just said: 'Went to explore. If I'm not back soon it means I got lost.'

Aleera tiled her head back slightly, letting Clorogne at her neck. She ran one hand through his short hair, caressing his cheek lovingly.

Markus sighed, running a hand through his hair. It was still only morning and he was already ready to go back to bed. He forced his mind back to the problem at hand and not to the neko he thought was lying in his bed.

The halls had many doors and rooms to explore. Unsurprisingly, a large number of them were storage rooms containing either food or weapons. It was clear the rebellion was stocking up and planning.

Clorogne ran his hand down her side and lightly pressed her against the wall.

Akila wandered the halls with her mind drifting like it did whenever she walked through a forest. The earthiness of the place made her feel right at home, though it clouded her mind. Occasionally she peeked in a door or two. After a while, she began to wander how the long this hallway was, exactly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera shivered, goosebumps raising on her skin. She arched her back slightly, pressing against Clorogne.

The hallway began curving gently, rounding a wide corner. There had been no doors or tunnel branches for awhile now. Suddenly, the tunnel rounded the corner and ended. Ahead of Akila was a small pool, surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites. A small hole in the roof let in the sunlight. It bounced off the water, filling the cave with light that shone on the crystal fragments in the rock everywhere.

Clorogne ran his fingers through her hair, and kissed her sweetly.

Akila gasped, covering her mouth and gawked at the sight. It was beautiful!

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera made a soft sound of happiness, returning the kiss eagerly. She welcomed his every touch.

Something was out of place among the glittery rocks though. There, near the edge of the pool, black feathers could be seen scattered here and there.
