"Well, I kind of wish one of them got Mala's blond hair, while Kai could stand to be less of a troublemaker." Van said with a smirk as he ruffled his son's hair.

"Hey, it's not like I do it intentionally!" Kai protested.

I think you do a god job as him anyway. XD ))

"Who is to say that the next one won't be blonde, if you two do ever have another baby?" Marianne asked, grinning broadly at Van. She then looked over to Kai and said, "You know, being good helps out plenty in life."

"But dad used to be a jerk thief god for most of his life and he seems pretty well off." Kai said folding his hands behind his head.

Marianne chuckled. "That got him sealed up in a ring, twise, didn't it? He learned to behave, and because of that, he got to marry my daughter and have great kids like you two."

A lonely old fisherman, starved and bony, had just caught a whole batch of fish. One ended up spitting up something, a ring which stuck to his cheek due to the mucus from the fish. With disgust, he pulled the ring off of his cheek and examined it for many moments....

"Hey, technically I learned to behave after only the first attempt. Atius is just a spiteful jerk." Van said.

((Ah, poor old fisher man. XD))

After a few moments, he was strangely compelled to put the ring on. Within mere moments afterwards, a loud and triumphant cackle echoed through the air. "I'M BACK, BABY AND I KNOW WHOSE a** I'M KICKING FIRST!"

{Oh! And I imagine the fisherman to look like ***** Kimura from Azumanga Daioh.}

((Lol. I imagined him to be some handsome guy (vast improvement over Atius), but creepy scrawny guy works too. XD Also, best. "I'm back" line. Evar.))

Van suddenly shuddered slightly. "Woah, I just got this feeling of something coming back to bite me in the rear. A disturbance in the force, if you will."

{I just wanted to be able to make a creepy stalker joke when he inevidably spies on Mala or Ariae while they're trying to bathe or something. Or if they're changing clothes. Or, in squickiest situations, while they're getting dressed in some sort of lingerie for we all know what. XDD}

"Unless Mala found another woman's panties somewhere, I doubt it's her." Marianne joked, making sure to cover the children's ears before she'd make such a comment.

((It was clear just a few hours ago. Where the hell did all this rain come from??))

"Please, there are children present!" Van said before also covering the kids' ears himself. "Besides, you really think I'd be dumb enough to leave another woman's underwear lying around? The kids could find them and Mala'd kill me."

"No, of course not. T'was simply a joke." Marianne said, chuckling as she slipped her hands away. "I won't say anything more, though, so worry not for their sake."

((Leaving soon-ish. I'm headin' home for the holidays! biggrin ))

"Sorry. The parental censorship's already sunk in." Van said with a chuckle as he removed his hands as well, leaving the kids blinking curiously as to what was being said.

Marianne chuckled. "According to Riley, that was something Mala's been doing for years now. I take it she's rubbing off on you?"

"That, or it's the parental instincts of keeping an eye out for them." Van said with a smile.

"That too~" Marianne chuckled.
